I found out about this spot from Yelp of course :) The employees are really nice even the cooks will greet you from the window and overall they make me feel appreciated as a customer and I find that really special. The food is fantastic! I am a connoisseur of all things seafood and It's such a blessing to live in Los Angeles and have delicious fresh Mariscos at your fingertips. I had the Aguachile, The Beer battered Shrimp Tacos and Ceviche. Everything was very tasty. I Love fresh Raw Seafood, but my mom wasn't as adventurous so I opted to get her the cooked version. This is one of our easy go-to spots when we are undecided about dinner. However, despite them having a tablet with Apple Pay & credit card options they do cash only at random times. My husband and I hardly ever carry cash so we had to use their atm machine for a three dollar fee. We usually get the ceviche mixto, shrimp cocktail & fried calamari. This time we only ordered the ceviche mixto & fried calamari due to the cash amount we got from the atm. & unfortunately the calamari was very stale. I used to come to this mariscos spot as a kid, so when I found out there had been a change in ownership, I was honestly a little hesitant to come back. But after finally giving it another try, I'm so glad we did -- one visit back and we'll definitely keep coming! I had the tilapia fillet relleno with paella underneath, and it was AMAZING! My wife had the cóctel de camarón and also a side of ceviche , and everything tasted super fresh and delicious. We also found out that their ceviche is made to order, so our food took a little longer than expected. Honestly, we didn't mind at all because we got to enjoy some great micheladas, chips, guacamole, and salsa while we waited. You can really taste the freshness in the food, and we loved that everything was prepared fresh rather than rushed. I just bought delivery and got the worst Mexican seafood dinner that I have ever been served! We ordered it delivered and expected something like the 4-star ratings in Yelp. Instead we were shocked to find that the catfish was cooked without any cleaning of the insides of the fish. The shrimp still had the shell and the black veins (the shrimp colon) inside. The seafood soup was boiled until the shrimp meat turned into granules. The baked fish was cooked until it was dry, hard, and brown. It fell apart when touched by a fork and no longer had flavor. The menu didn't mention that the 7 seafood soup was in a tomato broth. (My wife was allergic). The menu said there were 15 shrimp in the soup. There were 7 shrimp. The small, whole octopus was thrown in the soup without cleaning. My guess is that the 7 seafoods were put in a pot with the seasonings, covered with cold water before being boiled for a while. Horrible! They should try following normal kitchen practices like cleaning the seafood, and boiling the broth before adding the seafood, then serving the dish without cooking it too long. Finally, we don't know what the white stuff that was called sour cream was...Avoid this restaurant! In fifty years of eating in great Mexican seafood restaurants, I had the misfortune to get delivery from here. Terrible! read more

They said chips don't come with the meals. I indicated I had been here last week and they were and she said they should charge you always for chips. Customer service was good. I ordered the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was well cooked and plump and the avocado was good...however the sauce used was sweet, I had never had a sweet shrimp cocktail. I asked the waiter what was the sauce made with, she stated she wasn't sure but she's sure they added a orange juice, I ate the chips and avocado and gave the rest to the husband to eat. I did not enjoy that flavor I feel it should be added in the menu it would be a sweet sauce. I will come back to try something else soon. read more

The bite was a bit bland, no seafood flavor really. I could have use a more seasoned filling overall. I liked the bits of vegetables had a bit of a bite. The atmospheres here is great. The food is good. The service is good for for only having one server on duty that late. We were a bigger party and then a few other parties came in and the serve was running around. I ended up with two shrimp tacos and one fish taco. Shrimp taco was very good. Lot of flavor. Lots of shrimp juicy they weren't the mini shrimps. The fish taco was okay. Not a lot of flavor in the fish so I could have done without the fish. Taco. I tried the steak and pork tacos and I think they were better than the seafood tacos here at this location. I would definitely order the steak and pork tacos next time. The churros and ice cream were good. Typical stuff, nothing special. If it's something you're craving, it's perfect to get. The chimichangas were very good. They have tons of parking and open until 2am which is a plus as most places are closed. The spicy salsa they have here wow, its some of the best i had and its hella spicy.
