Absolutely Terrible Drive-Thru Experience Went through the drive-thru last night and somehow managed to have one problem after another. First, when I pulled up to order, the girl asked if I was ready. I said I needed a minute, and literally 15 seconds later I said I was ready. She asked, "what do you want?" I started ordering and she immediately cut me off and said, "Hold on," then started taking my order. I ordered a large Pepsi. She said, "Large coffee?" I said, "No, Pepsi." She then said, "I don't know what that is." I explained that I meant a soda, like Coke. She said, "We don't have Coke, only Pepsi." At this point I'm thinking, Are we seriously struggling with the word Pepsi? I repeated, "Yes, a large Pepsi." Then I got to the window. She asked if I wanted salsa or vegetables. I said yes, extra red salsa and extra carrots. I had ordered SIX tacos and a burrito, so I expected a reasonable amount of salsa. Instead, I was handed two tiny containers of salsa. I had already driven away from the window before checking my order, so I parked and went inside. The SAME girl from the drive-thru saw me and asked what I needed. I explained that I had asked for extra salsa and only received two. I even spoke to her in both English and Spanish because apparently neither was getting through. She walked about three feet away and told a coworker that she didn't know what I was talking about. He came over and asked what I needed. I said, "Salsa, please." He then asked the cook for salsa, and he said they were out of salsa and only had "cumbias." Then they all laughed. Seriously? Not one person apologized. Not one person seemed concerned that I had just had an awful experience. The entire interaction was incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. Your logo says: "Come for the tacos. Stay for the experience. Come back because nothing else compares." Well, I came for the tacos, left because of the experience, and definitely won't be coming back -- because I can get better tacos from a taco stand without having to deal with this level of incompetence. The tacos aren't good enough to make up for terrible customer service. Train your employees to listen, communicate, and treat customers with basic respect. Food is pretty good actually, but it's ridiculous. How there are some really bad attitude people working there! Some dumb kid gave me a shrimp burrito, when I asked for pescado... I don't see how you could be so lame and lazy as to not to say, "we have shrimp but it's not a fish burrito!!!" !!!! Idiot!!! Fish burrito is regular for me! People don't have any brains or respect these days... it's not the first time you get this type of worker in the drive-through, although some of them are cool enough! I came to LAX Tacos for a few people from my ministry after another spot had closed. Someone suggested LAX Tacos and said they had been before, so we decided to give it a try and Yelp reviews. It was a Friday night, so the line was long and the lighting around the kitchen area was a little dim, but once we placed our order everything moved at a steady pace. I ordered several chicken tacos and the rest of the group ordered al pastor. They gave us plenty of onions and condiments on the side, and everyone enjoyed their food. The flavor was strong and the portions were fair. The payment system is simple, they hand you the device to pay, and the staff keeps things organized. Drinks were solid too. Tried both hard shell and soft tacos and I would definitely get their hard shell tacos again. The shell was super crunchy and flavorful so I was quite surprised by it. The soft shell tacos were good too but just tastes like any other soft shell tacos. If it's your first time, definitely get the chorizo hard shell tacos. It was so good! Yesterday, I finally tried LAX tacos after living in LA for over a decade. They did not disappoint. I got the crispy chicken and pastor tacos. The pastor meat was so well seasoned, wow. These will be my go to next time for sure. Not traditional style imo which is perfectly fine for me. read more

A lot of nearby spots were closed for Monday or didn't open until later, and one place we drove to showed "open" but was actually closed. On the way there we noticed LAX Tacos was open, so we headed back and decided to try it. I ordered four tacos: carne asada, buche, carnitas, and lengua. My husband ordered two hard-shell tacos and two regular tacos, and a carne asada burrito with rice. We asked for spicy salsa on the side. The plates come with pickles, carrots, and rabanos, which is a nice touch. The meat had really good flavor overall. The only taco I wouldn't order again was the buche.It just wasn't to my liking. The salsa had good flavor but wasn't spicy at all, which was disappointing since we love heat. We also ordered three sodas. They do offer aguas frescas, but they aren't handmade, so we skipped those. Overall, it satisfied our taco craving after a long flight. Would I return? Honestly, it's a 50/50 for me. read more

This place is the definition of hit or miss. I stopped going for a while because I had 2 straight bad experiences but 3rd time's the charm. Pastor Fries were incredible. Felt like 4lbs of toppings. Fresh guacamole, nicely seasoned beans, crispy Pastor that wasn't too chewy or fatty. Fries seasoned and crispy. Carnitas were shredded nicely with a little crunch just how I like them. I have been coming here for over 15 years the last couple of times the quality of the food has been not the same. The food is extremely greasy and the torta that I ordered was extremely sloppy. The extra sides of pickled carrots and radishes are a must. Acidity balances the rest for a perfect balance. The salsas will kick your patootie so if you're not into hot this is your fair warning. They serve it on the side so you have options! The service is just the right amount when they focus on getting you in and out. Tables and chairs are clean and are a plenty inside and covered patio outside for small parties. Not a place to bring your whole crew of 10+ for a special meet up. Parking lot is smallish. There is drive through for the Lalalanders wanting to keep it pressing. Street parking is available but check your signs. Definitely a must for taco any day. Why are my tacos ice cold the meat is cold so what kind of service is this is fast as that guy delivered to me and I watch my deliveries all the time because I Uber eats quite often. He was already there so he gets the food. He comes straight to me. I am probably all of six minutes away and I sit down open my tacos. I have one salsa of course I already see. I don't have any extra ice in my drink and I touch my tacos to put my one salsa on it and a ice cold. I bite into it my meat ice cold, but that's OK. You live and learn..
