Al pastor street tacos
Amber N.

Came here on a Friday night because I was in the area and by my surprise it was empty. We got our food very quick and it was really good. I got the al pastor tacos and they have their own sauce bar. I got the green sauce and it was so spicy! I didn't expect it. The place has plenty of seating and a decent size parking lot. They also open late too.

Had extremely expectations but they fell short. The resturaunt itself is extremely clean and spacious, lots of parking and the staff were amazing. Carne asada super burrito: 2/5. It was sadly dry, lacking any flavors and the meat was extremely dry. Chorizo breakfast burrito: 1/5. Honestly all I tasted were eggs, the chorizo had no oil and zero flavors. Al pastor Super corn quesadilla: 3/5. The al pastor was marinated and had a nice light flavor to it but nothing too special. The corn tortilla was on the dryer side but it was loaded.

Updated as of 12/1/2025 Who would've thought I'd move across the street. Lol. I come here almost bi-monthly and I just can't resist their Shrimp Tacos. It's pretty freaking good. Although, personally I feel the price for a shrimp taco being $8+ a pop that's somewhat steep, but I just keep coming back. My BF's order has been more consistent vs the last few times we came in the past. Normally he orders the Super Burrito, but there have been many times where either the Sour Cream and/or Avocado has been missing, and at those points we said we were going to limit our time coming here, but as of recently, things have been on point. And we're happy. So honestly, I'm really glad to be down the street from here.

I had a great experience at Araujo. The staff were incredibly nice, and as someone from Vietnam, I really appreciated how the cashier took the time to present different options and explain everything clearly. The portions are huge, and the food is delicious. The flautas are perfectly crunchy, the beans are cooked just right, and the rice is seasoned really well. It's the perfect spot for a satisfying lunch.

The tripas tacos were perfectly crispy and super tasty--definitely a must-try. I also had a beef taco, and it was just as good--juicy, flavorful, and topped with a spicy sauce that gave it a nice kick without overpowering the meat. The atmosphere really adds to the experience. The open kitchen setup looks fantastic--you can see everything being freshly prepared, which is always a plus. There's also a big TV screen, perfect for watching a movie or catching a football game while you eat. Great spot for both food and fun!

I loved the molcajete!! It was very filling and cooked nicely. I also recommend their carne asada fries. I do wish it came with a little more sour cream but other than that it was great. They do have a sauce bar which I absolutely love. The service were quick to serve as well and the restaurant was very clean including the restrooms

RAW Chorizo in my burrito today. How did they not notice.
Chelle N.

I ordered through work,a Chorizo breakfast burrito and after taking some bites I noticed something was off. Opened up the burrito and realized the entire burrito had RAW chorizo, please see the picture attached. I am currently sitting here hoping I do not get sick and disgusted that this would be served to people. I am hoping no one else ordered the Chorizo today. I tried calling and got the run around on the phone.

Great food! Great service. They catered for our family gathering of 40. Everyone went back for seconds and were raving about how good the food was

Super Burrito with refried beans substitute

My all time favorite place to grab a super burrito quickly!! I've been coming here continuously for seven years and still crave it many days. I love the blend of the carne asada with their refried beans, avocado, sour cream, and rice. I also really enjoy their regular tacos. They are absolutely delicious. The pineapple agua fresca is also so refreshing and is needed everytime I come here. My favorite thing about this place are their sauces. They have a sauce bar where you can try as many as you'd like as well as unlimited radishes. The habanero sauce is super spicy but it's still one of my favorites. My favorite sauce has to be their ranchera sauce which is the chunky red one. I have never had salsa like this anywhere and it makes my burrito 1000x better. The service is also so fast and the workers here have always been super friendly. Each time I come here (which has probably been over 200 times) has been amazing. I love this place and everything about it.

Chilaquiles with chorizo was the best. My party liked their tacos and sopes. The corn tortillas are homemade! Gotta get here and explore the menu.

The avocado salsa looked not as bright colored as I remembered it being :(

I used to be an absolute fan of Araujo's, but after today's order, I'm going to have to take a long break before I come back to eat here again. My partner decided to surprise me with a super burrito today since I didn't have dinner this evening. He used our UberEats credit to get me my favorite order: the super burrito and even paid an additional $2 for extra meat. Welp, that's what we thought we were gonna get. Instead, I got an overly stuffed burrito on STALE rice and hardly any meat packed into my burrito... the green sauce helped with the dryness from the rice, but was hardly any. I took multiple bites hoping that the meat was hidden somewhere down the burrito, but I found nothing but more stale rice. The grains were either cooked with not enough water or from earlier this morning because it gave a crunchy bite... I know COVID impacted businesses greatly, but the quality of food here has really gone down hill. I could barely finish my burrito and ended up trashing the rest.

Standard Asada taco. Decent carnitas taco. The tacos here are quite pricy though. Al pastor super burrito was the best item.

Paying $44 for 2 burritos & 3 tacos isn't even a big deal but limiting me to 4 salsas for all of that is insane. Please do better.

Can I buy the sauce? I love the habanero sauce.

Yes. You can buy a 32oz container of any of the salsa flavors. We provide them for catering orders. However, you should know that there are no preservatives in it, so we wouldn't recommend you keep it for more than a few days. Eat fast! :-)

What kind of cheese is in the tacos? Thanks!

Our tacos do not have cheese. Our super tacos (and burritos, quesadillas, etc) use queso Monterey. (Basically monterey jack.)

Super burrito is $10.30 on menu. Meat included. Asada super burrito rang up $10.76 + tax. I inquired about price difference and was told it was tax. Then, it was extra charge for meat when I said tax was separate. Which meat is included in menu?

Definitely need to work for your meal and get your steps in. The condiments and sauces are in a cart with plastic cups with lids provided. There weren't that many options of sauces when I ate here but it was fine. The birrias and lengua tacos were so good. All the tacos came with two small tortillas to hold in the heaping amount of meat. The horchata here is had more cream than I'm used to. Like more milk was added or something, not enough spices or flavors added in IMO. Ordering was easy, I felt rushed, but it was the waiting to hear my number that was difficult. Listening for the number in the dining area while the music was blasting was difficult, so it's better to wait by the truck. Parking is limited but there are always cars coming and going so if you can wait a little, a spot will open up.

During this meal, I ordered the: -Chips and Salsa -Steak Fajitas -Cali Burrito with Asada (MY FAVORITE) -Crispy Tacos 3x with Asada -32oz Horchata The seasonings for their meat is extremely noticeable and doesn't overpower the flavor. The same can be said for the seasoning on the chips; it's extremely delicious. My biggest positive for this place is the portion sizes; they don't skimp out on the proteins! Their horchata tastes better than the ones I personally had in Mexico. When comparing this place to establishments like Chipotle, this place easily wins in terms of food quality/freshness and pricing. That kind of reliability is more rare than it should be, and it's worth calling out. The tacos themselves are the main event. The Carne Asada, Suadero, and Al Pastor are all standouts, but the Al Pastor especially earns its spot. They serve it with pineapple, which is the way it's meant to be done and a detail that tells you they actually care about getting it right. These are easily some of the best tacos in San Jose, and I don't say that lightly given how much competition there is in the South Bay. But the drinks alone might be worth the trip. Their Horchata and Agua Fresca are genuinely among the best I've had anywhere in the Bay Area and that's a real statement in a region with no shortage of excellent options. The salsa bar is a nice bonus: a self-serve setup where you scoop what you want into containers, and they send you off with baggies of fresh cilantro and onion so you can finish the tacos exactly how you like them. They actively encourage you to take plenty, which tells you a lot about the kind of place this is. The staff is warm and welcoming on top of everything else. Truly one of the best taco trucks around.
