I had opportunity to go back after long time 8 years! Ordered same dishes super veggie burrito, Veggie Taco and Veggie Sope. Run still by same family, same great service, quality and taste. Not a fancy place but great food and their green sauce is to die for. Fresh ingredients brings good taste and run by family, I always see that dedication come through the food in such establishments. Happy they survived. Of course my experience is only vegetarian food.

Driving around the area, I stumbled upon Tacos A La Parrilla, which is located in a large plaza that has Chavez Market, closer to Baskin Robbin's Ice Cream but around the corner. Parking is not even a thought. You should find any space. The taqueria has inside dining only - several tables. Simple modest decor. One unisex restroom. The service was very friendly and helpful opened the door for me when I was about to walk in. Agua Fresca Horchata (3.5/5) - chilled, served with no ice, just all Horchata and just the way i like it. LOL. Delish. Regular Tacos: meat, cilantro, onions (4/5). I got one with Al Pastor and One with Buche. They came with two types of hot sauces and lime wedges. The green sauce was more vinegary and packed a spicy kick. The other was more traditional and spicy. Both tacos were a good size. I was expecting street tacos size but these were not. The Al Pastor was cooked a different way than I expected, it wasn't like on a rotating spit with a pineapple on top. The buche surprised me too as it was crispy and had a nice edge to it. So I am disappointed to update my review for this spot; becusse today I had the worst California burrito I have ever had. This used to be our go to spot for California burritos; because they offered good crispy carnitas; with crispy fries that each bite would be heavenly. And I absolutely loved their green salsa. today we got California burritos, usual order, but it was not good at all; the burritos were super soggy, and not really flavorful. The folks working in the bakc weren't the usual staff either, before it would be abuela's cooking; but not anymore and the food taste like that as well. The front desk staff member was nonchalant; when asked for extra green salsa he handed me one small extra sauce container (it's a quarter of a size of a typical taqueria salsa offerings.) The burrito size was double the typical (and it goes to show bigger does not mean better). The interior was fairly empty; one person sitting (they looked like staff member); historically I would see this place being busy, but I wonder if that is also a sign that is gone downhill. That was a disappointing burrito

I probably wouldn't have seen this place if I didn't look for it on Yelp. So good thing my girlfriend and I were in the mood for Mexican food. Specifically Refried Beans and Mexican Rice. Got there around 6pm and no one was here so we had our doubts but then after we ordered a dinner rush swung in and the place was popping! Since my girlfriend only wanted Rice and Bean, we picked up a platter so I could get tacos and she could get those items. Portion size is SO GENEROUS. I wanted the 3 tacos expecting it to be decently filled. But all 3 tacos came fully loaded and I swear I could take the falling meat and use the 2nd tortilla to make 6 tacos. I will say, it's pretty oily which messes up my stomach , so just be prepared. Wish they included pineapple but still solid. The refried beans could've been smashed a little more as my girlfriend likes it a little more mushy but overall it was pretty good along with the Mexican Rice. Def can't mess that up. I'll be back and hopefully grab a burrito next time!

Went here with a friend based of a recommendation and I can say they tacos didn't disappoint. The service was quick and efficient and the food came out quickly. The taco meat was full of flavor and tasted authentic. They had many options to choose from and I would return to try more if I'm the area!

Went here on a Friday evening around 6ish and it didn't disappoint. I've seen this location every time I'm In the San Jose area and decided to give it a try. Loved that there was spacious if parking due to the buildings nearby being closed. At first when I entered it was really empty, but I never go based off of that. I ordered a asada super burrito with two asada super tacos and my friend ordered asada flautas. The super tacos came first and man the meat was flavorful and the taco was the perfect size. Typically super tacos are either very big or too small, but it was just right. The super burrito was good overall, I just didn't like that there was a lot of beans than normal in the burrito. I tried my friend's flautas and man they were cooked really good and they weren't too crunchy. The staff here is really friendly and there is a restroom. Overall I'd come here again if I'm in the area and I'd recommend this place.

I got the vegetarian taco platter with refried beans and it was very good no complaints but nothing particularly stood out. Their meat selection might be tastier. I loved that there were a lot of toppings though, for no significant extra charge. Got takeout from here so didn't spend much time inside. But there were a few seats and helpful staff.

The prices weren't too bad and I really liked their sauces! The burrito itself was wrapped solid and everything was pretty good. I got al pastor and it was super flavorful. Pretty good portions

Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Ordered al pastor burrito, verified on the receipt it was al pastor, and pretty sure they stuffed my burrito with Chile Verde. There's BONES in my burrito. Literally chunks of bones. Really quite awful. The guy behind the counter is not entirely there. No greeting even when I say Hello. Walked away to grab a giant tub of horchata(?) while i was in the middle of ordering. Seriously though, the wrong meat and even bones in my burrito... that's just pure negligence

This taqueria is a gem! The portions are generous for such a reasonable price, and every dish I've tried has been absolutely delicious. The menu is intentional, not overwhelming, with an authentic selection that makes it easy to pick something great without flipping through pages, just look at the board. Everything smells and tastes incredibly fresh. You can really tell they care about quality and flavor. Definitely a spot worth coming back to again and again!

This taqueria in the corner of a small plaza is definitely a hidden gem. There are lots of Mexican restaurants and taco places in the area, but this is unique in its own way. It's a simple little sit down place to eat tacos with a casual vibe so don't let those fancy looking tacos in the picture fool you into feeling like you need to dress up... although they'd welcome you either way! Their tacos are great and quite different from others in the area. There are times when the season-er has a heavy hand, but most of the time, their tacos are perfectly seasoned. Just look at those pictures! Their tacos are LOADED so keep that in mind when you think of those super tacos. We usually order Carne Asada and Al Pastor, but we have definitely been adventurous and tried the others. They are all so good but the CA and AP are definitely our favorites. TIP: Bring cash or they'll charge a 3.98% fee if you use your card. Their tablet is an iPad an not one of those that automatically asks for tip, tap, and print. However, keep in mind that they may be manually inputting orders so mistakes can be made and got charged 39.8% instead if 3.98% so check your receipt! They resolved it eventually, but I cannot say that it didn't take multiple attempts, 3rd grade Math, and some assertive approach. I'll take 0.5 points off for the experience because it wasn't an easy resolution, but I assure you that most of the time, it's quite decent with friendly cashiers.

I went there Sunday and it was closed. Signage on the restaurant window said it should be open at the time. What are the hours?

I heard they had good pork cheek tacos but I don't see it on the menu...am I just blind?

They have beef cheek, and it's not on the menu. They have a sign posted near the register that it's available.

Unfortunately inflation and the economy has changed the prices and food sizes, but at least it still tastes good. Some of my favorites here over the years have been the salmon tacos, Esquites, Enchiladas De Camarone and suizas, and the bacon guac. I used to not bat an eye and order whatever I wanted, but now I do have to think a little bit more so that the bill doesn't get too high. The prices are high, but hopefully all their people are making a good living and the portions are enough for our appetites at least. I had the shrimp enchiladas, and my wife had the vegetarian tacos with a side order of scrambled eggs. There was nearly a mixup as the waiter thought we wanted to order an egg taco and that's considerably more expensive but we got it straightened out with the maitre D. We also shared a Paloma cocktail with which has a pretty color and delightful taste.

This made it so seamless to reserve here. Our group got there at opening and our table was ready and most of the group was already seated when we got there. Drink orders were flowing as the waitress caught up to me and I got a cafe de olla. We browsed the menu and the more I looked the harder it was to pick one thing. I ended up choosing chilaquiles with a bandera sauce and carne asada as the added protein. The rest of the table got all different types of dishes from carne en su jugo to birria to omelettes. While we enjoyed each other's company sipping on our cafecito I enjoyed the ambiance of the space. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Since it was opening time it wasn't as loud as I imagine it can get in there. The sun did shine on the faces of those facing the windows which was not enjoyable for them. There was no way to cover the sun either since it was coming in from the top windows with no shade. My food came out along with the rest of the plates and we went right in to enjoy them. My favorite chilaquiles was covered in the white sauce. The red and green were good but the white sauce was my favorite. The carne was cooked well but I could taste it wasn't marinated or lacked flavor. I didn't get a knife to cut the meat so it was very difficult to enjoy a piece with my chilaquiles. It was hard to cut with a butter knife. I thought it would be a piece of steak but it was a piece of carne asada. Eggs were scrambled and cooked well. The whole plate was filling, had flavor, and was a good portion. The cafe de olla had a good flavor but a tad sweet for my preference. The space in here is a vibe. A fun place to enjoy large gatherings. I came for breakfast but will update when I come back to visit for dinner. Bathrooms are clean. Staff was welcoming and efficient in taking care of our group. Hospitality was a 10/10. Parking in the am was a breeze but at prime time I can see it being a complete nightmare so plan accordingly. I enjoyed my visit and will come back to check out the dinner menu.
