Al pastor and asada tacos with beans and rice
    Diann N.

A friend wanted tacos for Cinco de Mayo and asked me to meet here. A new place for the both of us. Unfortunately for the price of this combo plate, the best thing here was the horchata and fairly clean. We were the only ones here that Monday for early dinner. The rice was so dry I left most of it on the plate. Beans and al pastor were bland. Asada was ok. You order and pay first.

    Side of rice very tasty.

First time here on a Tuesday for their Tuesday Tacos. We ordered 3 asada, 2 al pastor and 1 carnitas to try with a side of rice. We loved the Al pastor the best, then asada. The carnitas taco was a little bland however not dry at all. Their rice was also flavorful. We loved our meal, very good prices and tasty. The store is very clean and service was great, very friendly folks. Inside are plenty of tables for dine in. Parking is plenty. We will definitely come back soon when we want some tacos.

Five plain asada tacos, one regular asada taco, one regular al pastor taco, asada quesadilla, side of chips and salsa.

Love the food from Tacos El Rancho. Been coming here for a few years now. There aren't a lot of authentic street tacos near me and this one's close by, so whenever I'm craving and don't feel like going far, this is my go to! I love that it's an inexpensive yet quality eat, delicious. My friends and I got Asada, Pollo and Al Pastor Tacos and a Combination Plate with Asada. I've gotten their quesadilla and chips before too and I love it. Both their red and green salsa are good! Don't forget to ask for lime and Radish. Is this my favorite spot? No. Is it good? Yes!! Really not sure why it only has three and a half stars, I feel like it should have at least four stars! I will say I think this place tastes better than Taco Rigoberto's Bros taco truck in Santa Ana and that place was very popular. I remember one time when I had Rigoberto's and I wasn't satisfied so I went and got Tacos El Rancho on the way home haha! I wouldn't go out of my way to get this but if I'm in the area I would definitely get it and I live really close so I come more often than not. They have inside seating, love! There's never been a wait for me when I go. They're located in a small strip mall with a free parking lot so no issues with parking. You can use card but I think they still charge you a fee. Service is quick and they are nice. Very casual spot to eat or get takeout.

Carne asada tacos. Small size. Very good!

Food always good and the service is good too. I love their tacos. Need to try more of their menu.

It's not bad, I feel like it used to be much better tasting and almost half the price so it was a great deal. But like anywhere else the prices went up and at this point I don't know if it's worth it. It's not bad though just not as good as it used to be.

    Cabeza and Lengua Tacos

What a gem!! Do not sleep on this spot, they have some of the best cabeza and lengua tacos north of SD! My husband and I dropped by for a late night snack and they quickly accommodated us. The tortillas the tacos are served on are delicious and the meat is braised to perfection tenderness. Is definitely our spot now for these hard to find meats.

Pretty good tacos in this neighborhood. Cabeza and al pastor are delicious. Buche is a little bit gamey. Lengua is my least favorite. Red salsa is spicier than green. Horchata is tasty as always.

Yummy cheap food for Taco Tuesday. Fast service. Plenty of indoor seating. Good amount of parking. Polite, helpful staff.

Carlitos runs a ghost kitchen specializing in breakfast burritos. It's called Early Bird…read moreBreakfast...NOT to be confused with Early Bird Breakfast Burritos in Costa Mesa. Two completely different places. And for good reason. What drew me here initially was the picture. Obviously, there's a lot of AI generated pictures, but this burrito was also named "The One". With a name like that, and a description like there is on Postmates, it should have been the one. It surely wasn't. I'll start with the only good thing that gave this place an extra star. The red salsa was actually good and did have the "scallions" that were not in the burrito. More on that in a second. The bad. There's a whole list: The price. On Postmates, the burrito is listed at $21.52. It was BOGO, but total still came to just shy of $30. The price is what kept me from ordering this burrito for a longgggg time. Kept seeing it, kept ordering other burritos for half the price. You figure that with the price, it should be a large burrito. Too expensive. The description reads "3 slices of crispy thick-cut bacon, sautéed chicken apple sausage, TRIPLE egg omelet, sriracha aioli, GOOEY American cheese, scallions, and Nashville seasoned tots". This burrito was literally none of that. It was a very sad excuse for the description. The burrito was small. The bacon was not thick cut. I doubt there was even 3 slices. The egg was a thin layer of what I assume was 1 egg, not 3. The cheese was your grocery star pre-shredded cheddar/mexican blend and tasted terrible. It wasn't even melted all the way because the shredded cheese was still shredded. I was expecting GOOEY American cheese. The sausage was tasteless. Both ends of the burrito had several bites of just tortilla. There was NO scallions, but there was regular white onion chopped up and thrown haphazardly in the burrito. And finally, the sriracha aioli. It was nothing close to it. A little squirt of mayo mixed with something that surely wasn't sriracha. All in all, major fail by this place in their attempt to run a successful ghost kitchen. I'm pretty fair in my reviews, but check the pictures and you'll see why I tell you to AVOID ORDERING FROM THE ONLINE GHOST KITCHEN. (Hopefully their food is better in the actual diner, but I'm gonna say it probably isn't since the ingredients are gonna be the same). False advertising.

Parking is shared with nearby businesses, but there were plenty of spots. The dining area has lots of tables, though it's a little tight on space. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout. The food was delicious across the board. I ordered the Molcajete, which came loaded with refried beans, chorizo, avocado, potatoes, a sunny side up egg, carne asada, grilled slice of cheese, and pickled purple onions. The portions were huge -- I couldn't finish mine. The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. I added shrimp for a little extra and it was absolutely worth it. Others at the table ordered the chilaquiles, which come in red, green, or a combo, and can be customized with chorizo, short rib, or other proteins. The feedback was positive, though the portion size looked a bit small compared to other dishes. The very berry French toast was a hit with my daughter. She loved the sauce -- flavorful but not too sweet -- and the bread was perfectly toasted on the outside with a soft center. The burritos were generously sized. The surf and turf stood out, with perfectly cooked shrimp and meat. The sauce had a bit more kick than expected, but it was delicious overall. The carne asada fries were also a great size, with fresh, quality ingredients and great flavor. A few things to note: there are no fountain drinks, and the agua frescas don't come with refills. The menu has a great selection of Mexican-inspired café drinks -- café de olla, Mexican hot chocolate, lattes, and more.

I wish they pushed the lobster down into the roll a little more instead of stacking it on top to make it look fuller because it made it a lot harder to eat. The side salad was okay. I liked the clam chowder a lot. Fries and tater tots were perfectly crispy! Flaming hot lobster fries ($25): This feels a bit overpriced for what it is and kind of lackluster.
