I ordered the bun bo hue, and while it was still good, the broth was a little lighter in flavor than what I personally prefer. Perfectly crispy, packed with a ton of fillings (although would like more protein), and they provide a ton of veg as well as rice paper paired with hot water. I recommend getting on the Yelp Waitlist early because it was a 30 minute wait on a Sunday at 12pm and their kitchen flooded. I went with a friend and we ordered the Banh Beo which is Steamed Rice Flour Cakes with Shredded Shrimp. They come in these little shallow plates and you put the sauce into the plate and then spoon it into your mouth. They are squishy in texture, and the shredded shrimp is super flavourful. I absolutely love banh beo and happy I found a place that makes really good ones! I ordered the Bun Thit Ga Nuong which is a noodle dish with Grilled Lemongrass Chicken. This also has some peanut bits served on top. I love how fully packed this dish is with all the different ingredients. Vegetables, meat and noodles - what is there not to love about this! My friend ordered the Mi Quang which is made with yellow noodles and more of a soup dish with Pork Ribs and Patties. I love the dimensions of this dish because of the soup base and then you get pork ribs, which is not something that's served as often (usually it's just grilled pork, beef or chicken). The pork ribs were seasoned well and come off the bone. I loved how quickly the service was. We got all of the items in a timely manner and everything was served hot, so you know it was made fresh. There's good ambiance at the restaurant - a few families, 2-3 people at a table - and everyone enjoying their food. Great ambiance all together since everyone was eating and chatting away. When I'm craving banh xeo this is my go to spot! The #7 bang xeo is always so crispy and I love that it comes with such a good amount of veggies with it. I also ordered the #6 khay thit gio heo and I loved that the pork shanks are super thin so it doesn't tast gamy at all. It also came with a good amount of veggies and the peanuts do come on the side in a small bowl which is perfect for the people that love this dish but don't like the peanuts with it. Only thing that I would note is that the veggies on both orders came out super wet. I ordered the Banh Xeo with pork, and I wanted some Thai tea that I saw on old menus posted on Yelp but it wasn't available through the online order so I'm not sure they still have it, or you just cannot order drinks for pickup. When I arrived, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who quickly grabbed a large bag containing my order. I hurried to my car, as it was quite windy. Upon opening the bag to reveal the delicious meal inside, I saw the food was places in an aluminum disposable tray with no top. It was just...exposed. I'm not sure this is the ideal way to package to-go orders and it should probably be inside a closed container. Moving past the packaging, the food was good and hot and fresh. The sauce was delicious! I tore a piece of the banh xeo, wrapped it with some fresh leaves, and dipped in the sauce. My order also came with a few spring roll wrappers, but these need to be dipped in water to use and I had no way to do that while eating in my car. I love Banh Xeo, but it's not that easy to find in SoCal restaurants. I was in Vietnam in March and had wonderful Banh Xeo there. On our drive back from LA, my wife and I decided to stop at Quan Mii to try their Banh Xeo. We're very happy we did! We ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls, the steamed rice flour cakes with shredded shrimp, and the Banh Xeo Quan Mii with pork, shrimp and squid. All the dishes were amazing! The fresh spring rolls were stuffed with fresh vegetables and fresh shrimp and were accompanied by a tangy, spicy dipping sauce. The steamed rice flour cakes with shredded shrimp were great with a soft and crunchy texture that unlocked the flavor. And the star of the meal was the Banh Xeo, as good as what I had in Vietnam in March. First, I took the rice paper and wetted it in the warm water. Then I stuffed the rice paper with the Banh Xeo (which I cut to pieces with the scissors) and the fresh, leafy vegetables and dipped the it into a wonderful sauce. Just great! Banh Beo- Another main dish here. This was delicious. I've never had it, but I'd come back just to eat a bunch of these as a snack with friends. Spring rolls- nothing to write home about, just ok. Broken rice with pork (I think it's called com tam?) - not bad, but would definitely go somewhere more specialized for this where you could get a lot more for a lot less. I'd definitely come back for the Banh Beo which demands 5/5 stars by itself, but as a whole, not sure how this restaurant is competitive at this price point. read more
