On one hand, they have the **most delicious** steak fajitas, chicken fajitas (that's a miracle), rice, refried beans, charro beans, and house salsa. I got catering from here for a party of 25 and everything was so so SO good. And I used all the leftover beans and salsa (and sides of shredded cheese) to make with eggs for a week. And THAT was so delicious I started stopping in to get quarts of beans just for the purpose. On the other hand. The quarts of beans and rice are $15 each. Um. That's kind of ridiculous. I finally forced myself to break away from them because that's just too much. And on the other OTHER hand... after the catering thing, I was so enamored with the fajitas, I ordered the plates for dinner delivery a couple of times for me and my husband and... you guys. The menu says Fajiitas for 2 is 1 lb of fajitas. Wrong. The first time I got them I weighed out the meat and it came to 10-5/8 oz. I actually complained and the restaurant gave me a gift card as an apology. So I decided to order again. Omg. See photo. 9-1/8 ounces of meat for 2 people. Are you kidding me?? When I complained again, the manager tried to tell me that 1 lb was precooked weight. No. Even if that were true, beef yield across all cuts is 75-80%. It would be more than 9-1/8 ounces. But it shouldn't even be precooked weight. Everywhere else I order fajitas where they say "1 lb" I actually get 1 lb. So why Fresco's thinks it can get away with this utter nonsense - twice - and probably on a daily basis with other customers, is beyond me. I hate that Fresco's has such great food. Because I can't bring myself to go back and pay for two plates just to have enough meat for my husband and I to have a proper meal. read more

I would give this place 3.5 stars. Nice family restaurant where you can eat pretty good food for decent price. Family of three with drinks and an app + tip about $50. Service is always better than average. They usually can sit away right away. Service starts within 5 min of being seated. Everyone is very attentive. Wait staff, management, even buss staff will help. Just ask. We enjoy it. Our Tex-Mex goto for good food quick. Dine can be as fast 30 min if u want, usually 45. read more

Decided to stop in and check this place out and I'm glad I did! I got the birria tacos and they were super tasty. The green salsa definitely has some kick, so heads up if you don't like spice. Tried the Swirl Margarita too--huge and really good, though it didn't stay frozen long. As an 18+ year regular customer I feel like I should shed some light on what has been going on at Fresco's over the past few months. Frescos is now on his third ownership and it's actually a good thing. The second ownership made a lot of drastic changes and alienated a lot of regulars and people were not happy with the new menu and food recipes. The new owners decided early to bring back most of the original menu items and food recipes. Also, Joe, the last GM under the original ownership is back as well and is helping bringing the restaurant back to what it was originally and even better. So if you were put off by the changes that were made by the previous ownership, please come back and give Fresco's another try. read more

Fresco's Entry. It seems like the new owners (last 8 months) are trying to get the place "ship shape". Joe, the original GM, is back. The house salsa seems to be back to the normal Smokey chunky salsa, before the original owners sold out to the 2nd owners, who ruined the whole original Fresco's atmosphere. The prices on the fajita's for 2 are back down to $36. Lots of sides (mound of cheese, large scoop of sour cream, and scoop of pico). Perfecto margarita is $16. Fortunately, the original bartenders Courtney and Marissa are still working there, but not on Tuesdays. Owner seems to be considering doing a military discount, at least for me for the past couple visits. What's missing? The mass amount of customers that used to fill this place. The colorful walls that once used to be there. The occasional band out on the patio. Some Mexican music inside. No, I don't care what the kitchen staff wants to listen to. It was awkward to take a first date there, and have the kitchen staffs music preference on the dining area speakers. A bunch of inexperienced waitresses. Nice young ladies, but in the training phase. There has been so much turnover here and it shows. I have been trying to give it a shot again and have gone back twice in two months. This is not Frescos. The service was awful, the food was abhorrent, the formerly elite salsas were a watery mess. The waitress didn't understand the core concepts of the menu. I was twice given a knife that had massive burns in the plastic handles (was clearly set on a grill). Where do I start. It's a good smoky Mexican restaurant. Pleasantly surprised when checking in because we received an offer for a free queso! It was cheesy and tasty. The salsa Is spicy but they do have a very mild offer as well. Everything though had a very noticeable "smoky flavor". Not sure how I feel.... The street corn is delicious! The charro beans lacked "flavor" and was watery. The Shredded chicken enchiladas with Sour Cream sauce was very good and tasty but I would stay clear of the crunchy tacos. Service was impeccable! Recently tried this place again after not being there for about two years... I thought I would give them a try after their grand reopening. We went on a Friday night and the place was dead. I thought we would get better service because our server did not have that many tables but that wasn't the case. Service was not good. We tried the new jalapeño honey salsa. It was decent, but it's still not the same. It was a lot sweeter than what it used to be, and it tasted more puréed and not chunky. I preferred the original jalapeño honey salsa better. We also tried the new arbald salsa. Not the same either. My husband got combination fajitas not good at all. I ordered the Pachuha and substitute skirt steak instead of the chicken. Also not good. There are too many good Tex-Mex places around. We will not be back. read more

We love Frescos. The food is amazing and the service is great. They recently updated their menu, and we love the new choices. The food and drinks are priced well, and we really enjoy their patio with the new outside bar. My husband loves their ribs, and I think they have one of the best burgers around. read more

We're back baby!! Frescos used to be a staple, but after they sold some years ago it quickly went in the wrong direction. I'm happy to report that it has now sold again and the old food is back and better than ever! Make sure to check out the Habenero and Honey Jalapeno sauces, as well as some of the best ribs in the business. I'm so glad the food is back to what it was in its heyday. read more

Alright yall I'm a foodie and I was super skeptical. My husband picked this place. We had to wait on a table so we had a drink at the bar. I highly recommend the Serrano cucumber (ps If you can handle spicy, it's great, and not really spicy!). While at the bar I judged this place harshly based on the "look" of the chips. Ok... I ate every misconception I had of this place. The chips have a Smokey flavor (yum!) and the basic salsa is excellent. I'll admit the spicer stuff I asked for kicked my butt ( never have I ever had this happen). I ordered the chicken fajita quesadilla (oh my was I shocked at how flavorful it was!!) My husband ordered the brisket birrea tacos and elotes. I wanted to eat his also!! Highly recommend and wish we had found this place earlier in our visit to Ft Worth. One of the best ribeyes I've had! It had a melted butter poured over that was insane good. Cooked perfect. So tender and juicy. And those Mexican mashed potatoes make Abuelos hang their heads in shame. The cheese enchilada is the star that's lacking. The sauce was smoky, but a bit too sweet. My first time to Fresco's this evening. Wow! Have I been missing out. I even lived on Starnes for years. Joaquin was our server. He was knowledgeable, friendly and did things like memorize the order, like real servers used to do. Our drinks stayed full. We never ran out of salsa & chips. He was helpful and made suggestions and even was able to help with my food allergy. So rare to get good service anywhere these days. (Both my lady & I used to be servers.). On top of all this, the restrooms were clean and the food was amazing. I eat Ribeyes everywhere. The ribeye here beats Outback, Texas Roadhouse, Longhorn, Chili's of course & BJ's. Yes I've had better but for $32, This is the best I've had. I eagerly look forward to coming back. These guys also have the best salsa. I'm sitting here using YELP looking for somewhere else to go get Dinner- the server came up and immediately gave us the 'ok- let's spend our money somewhere else' vibe. Tried to get a top shelf margarita and he immediately started to inform us how 'too expensive' it was. But not in a 'let me help You get the bang for your buck' way But in a pretty woman- 'it's too much for YOU' way We're also nearly 40 and he said 'I'll need IDs if you want that' Yes. Your doing 'your job' But cmon- look at us. I even said after he told me the top shelf margarita was too much - I asked 'what? Like $20? That and your service is probably why nobody else is ever here- ' Who turns away overhead? If you don't believe me; drive by- and if you're wondering; 'oh they're slow? Nobody's in the parking lot- Maybe I should try them out anyways!' Don't. I have ordered frescos on Uber eats their fajitas are delicious. However my cousin was in town for Cinco de Mayo & she wanted a margarita. So I brought her here because it's right up the street. I know Texans love a reason to eat tex-mex, but believe me when I say this was ridiculous. We waited for 55 minutes for a table. Once we sat it took another 20-25 minutes before we were brought chips & salsa & our drink orders were taken. During our time here we saw our waitress 2 times to take our drink order & our food order. Someone else brought everything out way later. The whole place was extremely noisy from the amount of people & the music. We both ordered nachos & I ate 2 & couldn't eat anymore they were so terrible. My cousin ordered chicken & they brought her beef so we had to flag someone down to get her the right thing. Then she waited another 20 minutes for her cold nachos. I'm going to give this place another try but definitely won't be going on a holiday. Management didn't have control that night. read more

I've been coming here since 2004... about 2 years ago they got new owners and the ingredients changed. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't the same frescos I use to enjoy. A year went by and they got new owners again... This time they made a huge mistake, they let go of the GM that was keeping frescos open and running properly. I don't care how good the food is or becomes, after hearing what a foolish mistake the new owners made this restaurant will no longer be the same frescos. read more

Service was good, courteous, and attentive. I ordered the Pechuga de Pollo. The chicken was a microwaved chicken breast with barbecue smoke and flavors, heated on the flat top and covered in cheese. The rice was about normal and it was served with a bizarre mashed potato blend of potatoes mixed with hot sauce. Nothing was flavored at all, almost like they figured they could just cover everything with cheese and get away with the worst imitation of Mexican food I've ever seen. This place has gone so down hill. You can tell it has new ownership. Went in for our normal quesadilla with crema sauce. It used to be awesome and our go to. The quesadilla had no sauce on it and the meat was a different meat than normal and was gross greasy beyond belief. We also got a plate of steak fajitas. This is the first time I have ever had a skillet of broccoli and other junk vegetables that don't go with fajitas. I don't go out to eat often but I just wanted some normal steak fajitas with onions, and bell peppers. This was nothing even close. And the meat was a totally different cut than what they used to normally serve there. It was gross. Another place that has been ruined and we won't be returning to. read more

After driving past Fresco's for way to long, we finally were able to stop in. We tried during the pandemic when things were so hard on businesses with hours restrictions and seating rules. So glad we made it, we popped in after church, which was perfect, our church is just 2 minutes south of the restaurant. They were able to seat us immediately on the patio, which was really nice since there was 7 of us. Our server was SO NICE, and very accommodating, we all really enjoy our meals, my husband had chicken enchiladas and devoured them, I got the enchilada sampler and I will probable make that my "usual" order, so good. Also, their rice is SUPER good I could just get beans and rice there and be happy. My grandsons got the Mexican burger and they knocked those out! We really enjoyed our experience there, service was so good, never had to ask for refills or chips. We have been looking for a regular Mexican/Tex Mex place since moving to this area late 2019, I think we found our spot! read more

We thought the food was a little overpriced to comparable seafood plates. A regular margarita was served in a Tom Collins glass for $11 which anyone would call overpriced. Wife said she enjoyed the enchiladas but I ordered the chicken fajita tacos and the meat came out in little pieces, not even shredded, but never experienced fajita meet this way. Hostess- 1. Please don't complain to guests about your job at hand, as guests arrive. We are there for a PLEASANT dining experience. 2. Upon seating. Engage in pleasant small talk with guests while walking WITH them to their table. As opposed to running off to seat guests. I'm disabled, & walk with a cane. Hostess walked away from us, & my wife & I had to hunt down our table, as the hostess rushed back to the hostess stand. Server Joaqin- Absolutely disgusting seeing you eating & licking  your fingers while ringing in orders!! When I questioned you about it. Your response was... "There's birthday cake in the back, & I was eating a strawberry. But, I washed my hands in the back." I think guests would rather see you wash your hands, as opposed to you licking your fingers! Remember. You are on stage, & all eyes are on you. MOD- Non existent. Never saw one. Nor any table touches.  Had I saw a manager, I would've informed them of our evening. Inmates running the asylum. Herding cats. My wife & I narrowed our decision down to this restaurant because I was hungry for tamales. & the brisket tamales seemed like they would be a good choice. But, unfortunately. Tamales were 86'ed for the evening. On a Saturday night?? Poor inventorying. Our dish we ordered was ok. Server-Tony Thank you for being so attentive to our needs.
