Been going for years, amazing food with cleanliness on 100%. Service is friendly and can be slow sometimes but overall great value!

Tacos El Tio is a place I go to when I want a flavorful carne asada burrito without the bells and whistles!! This burrito is straight to the point-carne asada steak, cilantro, onions, beans, wrapped in a flour tortilla with salsa on the side!! They also give you carrots, lime wedges, and of course radishes!! This VERY tasty TACOburritoTORTAnachosMULITASsoup restaurant is located in Gardena on Vermont Avenue!!!

Love the delicious Tortas here. Everytime i come here the food gets better Workers are nice as well.

They overcharge. Bunch of crooks. Terrible business practices.

Zero stars. Illegal business practices. I tried being a good patron for you guys since you opened but wow. You really took the cake this time. You guys have gone way too far. Ask for a receipt y'all. You'll see they come up with an excuse as to why they cannot produce a receipt. Which is illegal. They must write one out on paper for you if they can't produce one on the register. Terrible customer service. They won't give you a receipt ON PURPOSE because they are gauging you with fake fees and taxes. Report them to the CDTFA. Vampiros used to be 4.25. Last week I was charged $7 for a medium agua Fresca. I was in a hurry, which they bank on, and I didn't notice until I got to my destination. Today I was charged almost $8 dollars for ONE vampiro which is listed at $5 and change on their menu outside. The cashier was rude and said well I don't know what the menu says outside but those are the prices on my side. So that's what it costs. I went back and took a photo. You can see they tried adding $2 dollars for a $5 dollar item. Illegal. Take your money elsewhere. Far too many good mom and pop shops that offer great food and customer service with some dignity.

Decent but a little pricey. If in the area it's a good option but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Quick service tacos with a drive through option. Also open later than most other taco spots, although a bit pricier. Good amount of meat, but flavor was kind of lacking, and not enough salsa. Also very interesting choice of side veggies..

Carnitas (more like beans and fat scraps) burrito

Horrible experience ordering from this place. Ordered thru Uber eats for my girlfriend. She gets her "carnitas" burrito and it's more like a Bean Burrito with cilantro onions scraps of fat and hardly any meat. How this place can have pride in itself and actually send out such garbage is beyond me. Needed to say I got a full refund from Uber eats and will never ever order from this place again. If there were ZERO stars I'd give that rating.

    Very little salsa.

Este lugar de Tacos el Tío por la Vermont y Rosecrans NADA comparado al Tacos El Tío de la Van Ness Y El Segundo. Mal servicio. Me dieron un envase de salsa con como dos cucharadas. No manchen. Don't recommend it here. Bad services. No meat in burrito. Quality is trash.

We normally call ahead to order our food, and it'll take roughly 10 - 15 minutes. Service is always solid - the workers are friendly and helpful. We normally get the carne asada/pollo fries and they're awesome. Fries are cooked perfectly (I swear there was a period of time where they coated the fries and that wasn't it, but thankfully they stopped), comes with the usual toppings like guacamole, onions, cilantro, etc. They top it with a hefty amount of juicy meat - both carne asada and pollo options are solid. Recently though I've been straying from fries and getting different dishes like the chicken flautas, enchiladas, and mulitas. Chefs kiss for each one. The rice and beans + salsa combo are also flavorful and pair nicely with the entree.

My plate was loaded, the kind of generous, no‑nonsense serving that tells you they cook with heart, not shortcuts. Every bite had that strictly authentic, home‑style flavor that reminded me of family, childhood mornings, and my grandma throwing down in the kitchen. The spot itself is super casual, eat in or take out, nothing fancy, nothing trying too hard. But honestly, the food and the service are the only "decor" this place needs. If you're craving something real, comforting, and made with love, this taqueria delivers. Miguel C.

The vibe is unfussy, the service is friendly in that "we got you, don't worry" way, and the food comes out fast enough to make your stomach feel seen. Man cause we were craving some Mexican food. The wet burrito was the star of my visit, big, saucy, and exactly the kind of comfort bomb you want from a spot like this. The red sauce had that perfect balance of savory and tangy, and the burrito itself was stuffed generously. Every bite was so good, so delicious! And the tacos.....Fire. The homemade tortillas make all the difference, soft, warm, and with that fresh‑masa aroma that tells you they didn't come from a plastic bag. No... no... no! They hold up beautifully to the fillings without falling apart, and they add this subtle sweetness that elevates everything. Chips and salsa were simple but solid. The chips had a good crunch, and the salsa tasted fresh, bright, and not overly blended, the kind you keep dipping into even when you tell yourself you're "saving room for the burrito." "Maybe we were just hungry..hungry huh?" The drinks were honestly refreshing as hell. True Mexican style if you're going to complete the meal....que no? The horchata was creamy without being heavy, with that cinnamon sweetness that makes you want to chug it.The agua de Jamaica was tart, floral, and ice‑cold, the kind of drink that instantly cools you down on a hot Gardena afternoon. Cocos Tacos is exactly what a neighborhood Mexican spot should be, casual, comforting, and consistent. If you're in Gardena and want homemade tortillas, a saucy wet burrito, and drinks that actually refresh you, this place deserves a stop. This place has been in my head the whole week, servers are very kind patience and give you a lot of options so you can get what you want, after ordering my ceviche I went inside the restaurant now which is the building and they have one section of only ice cream lollipops oh my God they have three times more options than any other places.
