Tacos El Zaga is my favorite taco truck in Orange County. They serve several different kinds of meat, not just the typical and boring chicken and carne asada. I don't even bother with those meats as the real stars of the show here are their Suadero and Cabeza. Their cabeza tacos will make your mouth sing with delight. They have crispy bits and are super tender, delicious and flavorful. My other favorite is their Suadero which is meat from the breast of the cow. When cooked right, it will absolutely blow your mind. My favorite way to get the suadero is in their quesadilla. I don't know what it is but the flavor and texture of the meat mixed with ooey gooey cheese sandwiched between crispy tortilla is just the perfect flavor and texture combination. They will also give you grilled onions and chilis if you ask. What puts this place over the top if their amazing salsa bar. They have a habanero and onion salsa that is tangy, tart and super spicy and flavorful. They also have a nopales (cactus) salsa which is mild and declicious. They also have the typical avocado salsa and salsa rojo and verde which are all wonderful. If you haven't tried this place yet, I urge you to head to Santa Ana and give this place a try. It will not disappoint! They are open 5pm to 2am but if you get there too early, they will still be setting up. I would not show up before 6pm as their full salsa bar may not be ready before then and it is a shame to miss any of them! read more

I've been coming here for the last two years I just didn't know they had a yelp thingy. And seriously this taco truck it's awesome ! I order a chorizo torta with avocado and cheese Inside. I like the fact that they have a salad bar out there, there's a few kinds of salsas de verde, roja, and guacamole. They also have nopalitos with pico de gallo. They serve you the tacos plain with meat and tortilla only and it's up to you to add as much salsa, onion, cilantro, or nopalitos to your meal. All very good, but their pastor tacos are the best. Their Aguas Frescas are also very tasty, not to sweet, tried Pina and orchata . Prices are very reasonable, service is fast and friendly. I'm very picky when it comes to any kind of meat but I have zero complaints with theirs its cooked just right not overly cooked or under cooked. The tacos are small but tasty on a corn tortilla, I like how they have all the condiments set up outside so you can prepare your own tacos. Costumer service is great the lady taking orders was very nice. I also tried the horchata and pineapple water both SO GOOD just one sip and you can tell it's actually made fresh. First time here! Guys working were nice and gave me full run down of their menu. I got a carne asada burrito and it was delicious. Asada was tender and well-seasoned. All are super good, but I can honestly say my top choices are pollo & pastor! The meats are all cooked and seasoned so well. What can also make it or break it for me is the salsa but to top it off the salsa are all savory and have a spicy kick plus they have you chiles asados.
