What he didn't do was offer to make a fresh one or take it off the bill. It was just, here's your check, thanks for coming in, and I paid full price for food I couldn't eat. We both ordered a Paloma and found them to be very tequila forward and not as effervescent as they should have been; we were expecting carbonation but couldn't taste any bubbles (and barely any grapefruit) at all.
