One day after class a few of my classmates was like let's go get tacos! I didn't know of anything in the area but one of the classmates recommended Taco La Central (Tijuana). I automatically said I'm not driving to Los Angeles for some taco. Low and behold it was local to our school. Let me say this was one of the best recommendations for authentic Mexican food. I fell in love with the chicken tacos and asada mulitas! If you crave them like I do on Tuesday's It sucks, because every Tuesday they're closed :(. I had an adobada, Al pastor mulita, and an asada. (I was hungry lol!) I liked the smoky flavors of the meats and the adobada was really good! It had some crispiness, which I love. The mulita was super cheesy and the cheese had the perfect burnt cheese endings! The asada was weird... they chop it up into very small bits and it's frayed and mushy. It was not my favorite in my opinion and would not order it again. Left a strange after taste. Also, they only have 1 type of salsa and it is not spicy at all. I've been passing this place for almost 2 years ever since it opened, but the lines were consistently long and parking was minimal which is why I never stopped in. Well all this time later and I finally stopped in today, wow now I know what the fuss was about, and why the lines were so long at $2 a taco with an original taste of Mexican tacos it's spot on they are delicious. I will be more of a regular now that I know the tacos are awesome & at $2 a taco you can't beat it especially close to home. The service was awesome, fast, they take cash or card plenty of outside seating area only on wooden benches, but no shade. If you ever find yourself in the City of Colton, be sure to swing by this staple of a taco place in the IE! They have your tacos built as if you're in Tijuana! Honestly, there hasn't been anything like this around town except for this place! They've really got the Tijuana style tacos down to a science, and I'm about it! I got the adobada taco, mulita con adobada, and carne asada. They specialize in adobada (pork), but I personally enjoyed the carne asada more. The carne asada has a nice smokey flavor to it, and I'm all about it! Don't get me wrong, the adobada was the business as well, but I preferred the carne asada. They have very limited parking at this taco spot. We ended up parking on the street. They have seating in an empty lot for you to enjoy, but it is fully open air, so I could only imagine it would be a scorcher on a nice summer IE day. The cashiers were SUPER RUDE, I went to the window after waiting 1-2 min while they were laughing and talking among themselves. When she finally came to the window she sat on the chair and didn't say anything. So I asked her if she was ready and she waved her hand and didn't say a word. I placed the order paid. So I asked for my recite, she said oh a copy of it. I said yes. That's when I told her why she was so rude and she said because I was rude. I asked for a manager and before you knew it she returned my money and said she wasn't taking my order or giving us our food. I come to this establishment 5-6 a month and most of the time it's been ok. I will take my business elsewhere!!! 4 days ago another customer had the same problem. It's a service problem NOT the food! Had the Tacos not be delicious this would have had a lower rating. Food wise they have good tacos and agua frescas. The service on the other hand though was not it. To the young lady with the glasses. Clearly you aren't able to see how rude you were. Very rude attitude towards me when asked a simple question about a salsa and slamming the glass window door on my face after responding. Always drive by this place and there is always a line, so I finally go the chance to come here with I got the pollo, adobada, & chorizo. It is a very clean establishment, I got everything on top of the tacos, the guacamole was DELICIOUS on the adobada tacos. The chorizo was very tasty but a little too salty for me. For $2 a street taco it was kind of higher price as you can get a really good street taco for about $1.25 around the area. Omg. Do NOT sleep on this place. This illustrates the difference for me between Sacramento (where I live) tacos and LA tacos. We ordered adobada, asada, and chorizo tacos. Each taco was $2 and I was full after 2. The fact that you can get this quality taco for $2 in California blows my mind. The meat was so well seasoned and the tacos were so full. Finally had the chance to check this place out! Ordered the abodaba tacos. Each taco was $2 which was pretty cheap considering it's quality! This taco place reminds me of tacos el gordo in San Diego because the meat was so juicy and the sauce reminded me of the tacos el gordo secret sauce. If i can put negative stars i would. This place was horrible! The lady who had helped us was very rude. We specifically ordered 2 tacos no Guac or cilantro and they add guac and cilantro. She said she could not remake them and said she was going to give my money back. I couldn't even re order because she said i couldn't order anymore.
