I was hoping this place would be delicious but I was a bit disappointed. The lady taking my order was friendly and helpful. The chips had a great crispy crunch, I enjoyed those. The corn tortillas were good on the tacos, very soft and fresh. The asada was a little better than the chicken but I didn't love either. The chicken tasted boiled to me. They have Taco Tuesday and Thursday (I came on a Thursday) in which tacos are just $2.49 so that would be the time to try it. Honestly, the prices went up I spent 34$ in total my Coke was $6.89. I asked for a refund for my Coke She said that since I paid with a card, she couldn't give me a refund like unbelievable I could have gone to the grocery store and get me a Coke for 2.49$ even a bigger one prices are super exaggerated. Also, I got chilaquiles with carne asada which was like 3 small pieces of meat and eggs, but they forgot to add cream and cheese to my chilaquiles. We like that this place is open late! Place was surprisingly spacious. You can't tell from the outside but it's nice and clean inside and they have nice murals inside too! Tip about parking: it's hard to park on the street so we parked at the small plaza right before it where there is a Pho place and liquor store then just walked to the restaurant. The customer service here was amazing, the waitress was super friendly. The birria tacos, although only two, were very filling and made with handmade tortillas! Just got a pick up order and I'm very disappointed on how the tacos came out. The carne was full of fat and the tacos de pastor are the worst I've tried. This place was a mixed bag, some good but some bad too. They make handmade tortillas which is nice, and they have amazing chips and salsa. The salsa especially is phenomenal, and up there with some of best I've had; I'd probably come back just for the salsa! I tried a couple tacos and meats were all little bland and could have used more seasoning and flavor. I tried the menudo as well, and while the tripe was cooked very well, the broth lacked flavor. This is a long over due review. This has been my new go to dinner spot. I love that they have handmade tortillas. The food is so delicious a great prize very consistent. I have zero complaints and I love that. It's family run and owned. I'm at the owner and he's so sweet him and his wife. If I need soup, I buy the soup from here if I need tacos or buy those tacos from here, I love their meat. Got an invite by a friend who knew the owner and chef. A bunch of us working moms came to support his new ownership and business. It was such a good vibe! This place is a hidden gem for vegan Mexican food! They have one of the biggest options of plant-based ingredients in Long Beach as far as Mexican restaurants go. We felt so welcomed by everyone & has a laidback vibe. They have vegan fish fillets which was awesome as a burrito. The spicy mayo is homemade and one of the best I can think of. I wish the burrito came with rice, but it wasn't vegetarian/vegan so I did it Cali style with fries inside instead. The lunchtime happy hour was a nice bonus!
