I've been hearing about Linda's amazing chili relleno for a while and finally had to stop in and see if the hype was real. It definitely was. This charming little gem is in a small strip mall at the corner of Redondo & 10th. The parking lot is tight but if you're patient something will open up. There are a handful of tables inside if you want to dine in, with embroidered tablecloths and surrounded by fun art on the walls. The staff were friendly and clearly know their regulars. They were catching up with a couple while I waited for my food. Prices were good and the food was wonderful. These are definitely along the best chili rellenos in Long Beach. I got two meals out of the plate easily and will definitely be back to try some other items.

I love this restaurant. Very good food options. They have amazing Albondiga soup. It's my go to and it's never salty like other places. Potato tacos are delicious and so are the flautas. I've been here 2 times and will continue coming. Excellent service. Everyone is so nice.

I pass this place on my way to work daily , have heard good things about it , have wanted to order their tamales at Christmas time , and finally the fam and I went here on a Sat late morning for brunch . We were not disappointed . This place felt like home to me , it felt like being in our Tia's home and having a meal cooked just for us . It's a smaller place , and I find those hole in the wall , family owned places to be the best . Linda helped us, took our order , explained everything to us with our questions and was patient with my children and pretty much tailored a meal to our family's needs . It was a very cozy family vibe , with her dad cooking in the kitchen in back. The chips and salsa weee really good , the salsa was fresh avd just the way my husband liked it . We wanted chilaquiles and the plate was good and hearty though I would like to try the green sauce next time because I like a little more bite in my sauce . We were a big fan of the grilled fish burrito , grilled fish tacos , breakfast burritos . We are wanting to go back to try the enchiladas , tostadas , and more fish tacos lol. I do like spice and so maybe could have asked for a grilled jalapeño or something but I'm also sure that if I did ask , it would have been coming right up. It's a great varied menu , kind people , good comfort food , but I like that I can also feel good about what I ate here and not so heavy the entire day . We will definitely be coming back and recommend this place for some good home style Mexican food.

I've had this placed saved for a while now. I've been under the weather all week and saw a screenshot I took of when someone posted about the Albondigas. That sounded good and soothing so I picked it up to-go for lunch today. Located in Long Beach in an unassuming little corner. I would have never known it existed had it not been for the local FB page I'm on. The lady was very nice who took my order. I got the soup as well as 2 crunchy tacos, one chicken and one beef. The chicken was ok but I didn't love it. I thought the beef was excellent though. I will for sure get beef tacos there again. The soup was good and the soft, warm tortillas were so yummy! I want to go back to try a burrito and an enchilada and possibly a couple breakfast items too.

The service and food were very good. I had an enchilada and taco combo and enjoyed it. Chips and salsa were good too.

Ask the Community - Linda's Mexican Delights

Can I have my dog in the outdoor dining area?

Do they make their own mole negro and is it good?

Their mole negro is off-menu and it's seasonal. It's delicious and has no peanut butter.

Are they good for a wedding?

The actual location is small and quaint. If it's a very small party, yes. But, otherwise, the location might be too small.

Spectacular Mexican food! I'm so glad TikTok recommended this place because I may have never…read morestumbled upon it otherwise! I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! You can't go wrong with Mexican food!

Not impressed by anything we ordered, given the competition locally…read more I will drive to Acton, CA (124 miles round trip) for their chicken tortilla soup ... bringing back 3 quarts of it after our meal is done. The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

I'm honestly shocked I haven't reviewed this place yet because I've basically eaten my way through…read morethe entire menu at Enrique's. If you want big portions, legit authentic food, and prices that won't personally offend you--this is your spot. The pork shank? Fall-off-the-bone, no-effort-required kind of delicious. The tacos are (I do wish they had à la carte instead of plates, but honestly their rice and refried beans slap so I'll allow it). The ceviche is basically an entrée disguised as an appetizer, and the chicken arroz soup hits every time. They bring out chips and salsa immediately (as they should), service is quick, and there's plenty of parking--which already puts them ahead of half the restaurants in SoCal.

I opted for the carne asada plate - simple and not spicy. Hubby ordered the Carne en su Jugo- very spicy with tomatillo broth and serranos, cilantro, bacon and onions. Both of our entrees came with bean soup and tortillas. The chips/ salsa starter was addictive. Huge basket of fresh warm chips, and a salsa like no other! Chunks of veggies and just the right spice. It was hard to get those chunks on the chips but it was delicious. My carne asada was tasty, a large portion with grilled scallion and rice. I wish some of the "bean soup" had been pureed to be a bit thicker but the broth was good, with a variety of beans. Hubby's dish had an interesting flavor, very spicy. He wished the broth had some rice, though, to accompany it. We could come back weekly to try many more entrees. Their salads sound tasty, too. Service was great.

It was open seating when we arrived which majority of the tables was taken where all the television were. The main dining area had a television set up but main bar area was where the action was taking place. We got lucky as there was a table available along the wall with perfect view of the game. Of course it was rain delayed so more time to enjoy food and drinks. Also it was happy hour and taco Tuesday all at the same time. As the game was happening, one of the tequila sponsors was there offering deals. Shot and a jersey. Tony took care of us that night and he was amazing. Made sure that we got everything we needed. Very sweet as well. Happy hour menu offered a good amount of items for a great deal. As well as draft beer and cocktails. Regular menu is great as well which we've had before. Food, an order of the tostada both with shrimp and aguachili. Served with two small tostada and handful of crevice on top. Both were quite tasty and very well flavored in the juice. Also two of the street tacos with birria. They were quite small but did have a major punch of flavor to it. And well priced at 2.50 a piece. Of course the crinkle cut loaded fries with added carne asada. Seemed like it was a popular item as every table had it. It was good but a little skimpy with the topping. Lastly the chicken wings, lemon pepper flavor. Six piece tossed in the sauce. It was good but way too salty for my liking. We still enjoyed everything we had. As we got the shot with the jersey earlier, the person who was affiliated with the sponsor brand was walking around with more shot. I must say, it does hit the spot big time...lol... The crowd was lively with everyone all there for the same reason. The game and good company. First time for happy hour and it was nice. We had a great time and everyone working was the sweetest. And Tony was amazing. Took very good care of us.

Palapa next door offers the same food menu but has more drink options. Many opted for outdoor seating on the terrace due to the gorgeous views, but not wanting to wait we agreed to indoor seating. The interior of the restaurant is also very beautiful. The bathrooms were too dark for my tastes though. Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, super friendly and anticipating all of our needs (water refills, leftover containers, etc.). Service overall by all staff was friendly. We were actually presently surprised with the taste of the food, thinking it might be more Americanized but they actually had very authentic and tasty totopos (tortilla chips). The tomato salsa that came with the chips was also very refreshing. We asked for hot sauce too and the house habanero salsa really packed a punch! We ordered carne asada nachos, pork belly chilaquiles (from the brunch menu), a breakfast burrito, poke, and steamed clams. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH. Ola still exceeded expectations and provided a more than pleasant meal.
