So first of all, let's start off with the food. I think there are quite a few decent Mexican places in Long Beach. My favorite is Los Compadres, which is a fun place to gather with friends, but I've never really had to go to until now. I ordered the three taquito plate, which includes rice and beans. Everything came out to about $20, which is about standard for a plate nowadays bc of inflation. I got chicken, potato, and something else I forgot, but it was really good. The taquitos were thin and crispy and absolutely perfect. Everything literally just melted in your mouth. The salsa was nice and spicy and like many Southern Californians know, the salsa is usually indicative of the upcoming good food. The food came out quickly, and as I said before, it was delicious. Linda and I had an amazing conversation and I do need to return because I need to give her good Indian food recommendations. As far as the ambience, the decor was very warm and authentic, almost like you're at somebody's house (in a good way,) and it was great to sit in front of a picture of Frida Kahlo and enjoy my delicious food. I'm craving Mexican food today and I wanted take out from Linda's Mexican since I've never been and also give them support. I passed by this place often and dont should have come sooner. The taco salad with chicken was packed with chicken and it was delicious. The beans and rice at the bottom were flavorful. Also enjoyed the chicken enchiladas and the wet burrito. What a hidden gem this place is! It's a shame it's blocked behind MVP, which is probably why I haven't dined here sooner. I found this place on yelp and decided to come after reading all the great reviews. They definitely live up to the hype. The ambiance is very cozy vibes, like you're walking into your abuelita's home, ready to eat homemade meals. I got the green chicken enchilada and beef crunchy taco combo with rice & beans, and the caliber was delicious! I've been hearing about Linda's amazing chili relleno for a while and finally had to stop in and see if the hype was real. It definitely was. This charming little gem is in a small strip mall at the corner of Redondo & 10th. The parking lot is tight but if you're patient something will open up. There are a handful of tables inside if you want to dine in, with embroidered tablecloths and surrounded by fun art on the walls. The staff were friendly and clearly know their regulars. They were catching up with a couple while I waited for my food. Prices were good and the food was wonderful. These are definitely along the best chili rellenos in Long Beach. I got two meals out of the plate easily and will definitely be back to try some other items. read more

I pass this place on my way to work daily , have heard good things about it , have wanted to order their tamales at Christmas time , and finally the fam and I went here on a Sat late morning for brunch . We were not disappointed . This place felt like home to me , it felt like being in our Tia's home and having a meal cooked just for us . It's a smaller place , and I find those hole in the wall , family owned places to be the best . Linda helped us, took our order , explained everything to us with our questions and was patient with my children and pretty much tailored a meal to our family's needs . It was a very cozy family vibe , with her dad cooking in the kitchen in back. The chips and salsa weee really good , the salsa was fresh avd just the way my husband liked it . We wanted chilaquiles and the plate was good and hearty though I would like to try the green sauce next time because I like a little more bite in my sauce . We were a big fan of the grilled fish burrito , grilled fish tacos , breakfast burritos . We are wanting to go back to try the enchiladas , tostadas , and more fish tacos lol. I do like spice and so maybe could have asked for a grilled jalapeño or something but I'm also sure that if I did ask , it would have been coming right up. It's a great varied menu , kind people , good comfort food , but I like that I can also feel good about what I ate here and not so heavy the entire day . I used to come to Linda's fairly often. Its close to my home so I dont have to look for parking. The food was good and the staff was friendly. Thats the good part. Now here comes the bad. I went in last month (April 2026) to order some food. I wasn't too hungry and wanted some soup. I was told they are all out. While I was checking out the menu, a family of five was finishing up their meal. They were from out of town and they looked like they enjoyed their food. The mother went to pay the bill and they were informed by staff that their credit card machine and apple pay are both down. Luckily they had cash. The family said that next time they will be back for sure and the owner said "please let give us a heads up so we can accommodate you" I was shocked by this! The restaurant has several tables and in the 7 years I lived in the area I have never seen it full! If you can't accommodate a small family in a dining room you shouldn't be in buisness! It rubbed me the wrong way. But back to my order. Since they were out of soup I asked for fish tacos and they informed me they didn't have any seafood! Im all for mom and pop restaurants but this place needs to get it together or close up. They have broken soda machines, are constantly out of stuff, the dining room is fairly clean but rundown. The food and service at Linda's Mexican Delights reminds me of visiting an aunt, mother, or relative who has care packages with containers of your favorite foods. The staff seem to actually care about your food being the best they can give you. For example, the albondigas soup. The broth is perfect, light handed, clear, and bright. It's 90% fresh vegetables that were slightly al dente and obviously fresh. The meatballs are a little larger and much better than usual and are very tender and tasty. The vegetables were very carefully prepared and makes the customer feel like the chef made it for them. It's by far the lightest, freshest, most carefully prepared albondigas I've had. I ordered guacamole and the staff was concerned about the low quality of avocados they've experienced in the last few months. The chef cut a number of avocados in half and brought them out for the manager to inspect. Then they asked if I was ok. Heck yes I'm ok, because another example that Linda's seriously cares if you're happy with their food. I recommend you try it and see for yourself. read more

After a Signal Hill hike, best Mexican around. I went with a buddy who asked about the Chille Relleno in detail - made to order? Yes. ETC, ETC So he ordered one and a bunch of other stuff since it was my turn to pay. It was all fabulous! I had sort of given up on Chille Rellenos as not my thing, but Linda's were great, as were the taquitos, guac, salsa, etc. But somehow, they were out of beer! I've had this placed saved for a while now. I've been under the weather all week and saw a screenshot I took of when someone posted about the Albondigas. That sounded good and soothing so I picked it up to-go for lunch today. Located in Long Beach in an unassuming little corner. I would have never known it existed had it not been for the local FB page I'm on. The lady was very nice who took my order. I got the soup as well as 2 crunchy tacos, one chicken and one beef. The chicken was ok but I didn't love it. I thought the beef was excellent though. I will for sure get beef tacos there again. The soup was good and the soft, warm tortillas were so yummy! Awesome hard shell its a small restaurant, however very clean and great customer service.

I always pass this place and today I finally decided to try it. It's a tiny place with a private parking lot. We were greeted by really friendly workers The seating is limited but it does have a few tables. The food is really fresh tasting, nothing too overpowering and the price is great. I personally loved the chips and salsa but the salsa was too hot for my friend. The burrito with shredded beef served wet style was great. The sauce on it wasn't too overpowering, it was just right. They also didn't skimp on the nacho toppings Portions were really big, which is always a plus for me since I love to eat lol. Decided to try this little gem based on recommendations from fellow foodies (Long Beach Food Scene) My husband and I opted for the carne asada burrito, dry. While we were waiting for our burritos, we enjoyed chips and the most amazing salsa with the perfect amount of heat. My husband must have had 3 or more servings. The burritos were huge and full of flavor. The carne asada was seasoned perfectly. We glanced at other tables and noticed all of the portions are quite large. We had the pleasure of meeting Maritza and Lisa. Two of the sweetest ladies (sisters) you will ever meet. Service was very attentive, and the food had the most amazing flavor. It's a local spot I will be coming back to for sure. They are tucked inside a mini mall with tough parking. It's totally worth the challenge of finding parking. It's a small and cozy location with maybe 4 or so tables. It did look like you could also sit on the patio. They seemed to have many take-out orders while we were there. read more

The first time my husband and I ordered takeout from Linda's, we asked for the red sauce on our burritos in a separate cup so they wouldn't get soggy. When my husband left with our order, they called to tell us that they forgot to add the red sauce in our bag. When my husband said it was OK as he already was home, they insisted we needed to try the red sauce with the burrito and offered to drive it to our home. And they did! So sweet! Linda's is in a small strip mall at the corner of redondo ave and 10th street in long beach, near an Arco gas station. The interior is unassuming. Maybe half a dozen tables. They do mostly takeout. The parking lot is small. The menu is short but sweet with reasonable prices. Most items are $10 to $15. I ordered 2 of my favorite Mexican dishes: 2 Chile rellenos that come with rice and refried beans plus a toastada salad in a tortilla bowl with mushrooms. The Chile rellenos did not come with much of a batter but oodles of melted cheese. The peppers were quite large and overcooked. Too soft, soggy. Not the texture nor taste I was looking for. The rice and beans were hot but not memorable. Social media claimed Linda's Chile rellenos were the best in long beach from multiple sources. Not in my book. I have been to New Mexico multiple times so I am jaded. I have one other restaurant to try. The taco salad aka tostada came in a decently fried tortilla shell. This is a dish I order frequently; the size was average. All the ingredients were fresh and crisp. I liked the taste but was not wowed. Service was fantastic. The woman owner was friendly and sincere. She brought everything quickly. I was the only diner as it was the tail end of the lunch hour. I left my standard 20% tip and left feeling very full. With tax and tip it was about $30. There was enough food for 3 or 4 people. Oink oink. I live in the neighborhood and walked there. I will return but won't frequent the place. I am glad I tried Linda's mexican delights. They have been in business for 28 years! read more
