Went on Easter ordered 40$ worth of tacos and 1 burrito drinks. The tortilla was so hard I could barley chew it and I can totally tell the meat was from the night before. I did not complain because I didn't want my kids to stop eating their food but I was highly disappointed they usually do really well guess I got their way to early 5pm and got alll the leftovers also tacos are very tiny and one more thing my tacos were cold ugh just bad experience over all he also got my order wrong but whatever ugh. read more

They open around sunset. Not a fixed brick & mortar location. No phone number to check on their hours. So they may or may not be there on a given day. My family and I were down in Long Beach for the Formula Drift event at the Convention Center September 16-19. During our stay, we just needed a quick bite to eat so we decided on finding a taco truck. Luckily we picked this one off of yelp. IT WAS AMAZING!!! We pulled up and there were so many people, which is definately a good sign. They have the pastor cooking right outside of the truck as well as different salsas and sides for you to help yourself to. Born and raised in LA, I've been to probably hundreds of taco trucks. And then I move down to Long Beach. Somehow, one night, I stumbled across this gem of a truck. It's right off the 710 fwy so very convenient for anyone coming from somewhere further inland. My brothers and sisters, not only were these THE BEST TACOS I have ever had in my life (pastor cut right off a spit), but one time I decided I came here and decided to get a pollo burrito. I asked them to put both red and the green avocado sauce inside. They said "sure, just go grab two cups of the salsa and bring them back up here, and we'll put them in". Well -- that's it, that's the story. THAT IS THE STORY OF HOW THE BEST F*%^KING CHICKEN BURRITO I HAVE EVER HAD CAME TO BE. This is no hyperbole. My friends, this spot is WHERE IT IS AT. And again, being born and raised in LA, and having tacos be a major part of my life, having eaten at hundreds of stands/trucks/brick and mortar places, this statement should not be taken lightly. Just stopped here after a date night and we had never been here before so I am writing this for anyone else who is questioning whether to stop- do it. The portions are generous, the meat is delicious (we had one of each type they had including suadero), and the salsas are on point. The winners for me where asada (actual asada not just boiled beef), cabeza, and pastor with the salsa de aguacate. Plus the guy taking the orders was patient and helpful so they get that final star for customer service as well. We will definitely be stopping here again in the future! read more

One word: Mesquite. Yes, the Carne Asada tastes and smells like it's mesquite grilled! I am not aware of any other place in the vicinity that fills their tacos, burritos and quesadillas with chopped pieces of mesquite grilled Asada like this. There is another truck a block away that is usually relatively crowded, but on a whim I decided to try this place and stay and I am extraordinarily satisfied. Found this truck at the corner of Anaheim & Daisy on a Saturday night. This truck keeps it simple but FIRE! Your choice of meat (asada, pastor , carnitas, tripas , cabeza, buche, lengua, pollo, and chorizo) in burrito, street taco, torta, mulita, or quesadilla form. I was honestly shook at how cheap this truck was for the quality and quantity of meat on their tacos. For four tacos and an horchata (deliciously refreshing because it wasn't too thick or sweet), I only paid $8.25! After they call your number, you top off your order with a self-serve lime, onion-cilantro, pickled veggie, red or green salsa bar. Trust me when I say that I've been looking for a spot in Long Beach FOR AGES that satisfies the craving I have for LA taco trucks. I think I've finally found it. You KNOW it's legit when the pastor is flamed on the spit and cut and the red sauce is painful spicy but tastes bomb! This is also hands-down the best tripas I've had in the South Bay, not overly chewy or so deep-fried that it has no flavor--just PERFECT. Honestly the food is great .. the customer service and order taking is what is given a one star. We pull up to order 2 al pastor tacos - 1 cabeza taco - 1 pollo burrito w/ no onions and beans but with cheese - 1 asada burrito w/no beans with cheese and 2 sprites.. what we got was 2 asada burritos dry with no cheese just burnt asada.. and they forgot to give us our sprites and had to go all the way back to get it Just honestly check your orders before leaving and my sure you say your orders clear.. check your change as well!! read more

Why does this place have so many stars? The food taste like complete garbage! The guy who takes the orders was SO rude. My cousin asked for 3 horchatas then my other cousin told him it will only be 2, the guy still brings 3 and gives us attitude when we told him it will only be 2. We stayed in the window cause he didn't tell us where to receive our food and he just yells out "NEXT ORDER" and gives us a dirty look, and with a shitty attitude tells us "get your drinks and move". Talk about customer service, if you're a starting company looking into expanding, customer service is definitely the #1 important asset... something they've yet to learn. i've had various meats and items from this place over the last 5 years or so. after 15+ visits, I thought I'd finally leave a little feedback. if you're a big fan of Tijuana style tacos, you'll really dislike this place. Personally,I really dislike the flavor of the adobo sauce included with cans of chipotle peppers. The red sauce here tastes like they drained a plethora of it and added water to give more volume. the green and aguacate salsas are pretty standard. no complaints with those 2. as far as my most recent experience, I ordered a Pastor super burrito. The pastor doesn't have much flavor at all, and in most bites, there was a bunch in gristle. in a pinch, and if this is the only place open when I'm craving Mexican food after midnight, I may come here again, but I know I'll be disappointed every fucking time. at $13, burrito and an illegal $1.50 surcharge on credit card transactions, . it'll set you back nearly $20 if you leave a gratuity. Not recommended, but it's brightly lit at a major intersection with parking available in the lot they are located in. I would give this a 1 star only if it wasn't for the fact that I tried 4 other taco spots prior to having to fall back on this place due to everyone closing earlier. read more

Love! Love! Love! This Taco Truck!!!! I love that their prices are fair and aren't swept away by ease of their business and aren't ridiculously priced. I am a harsh critic in my circle when it comes to Tacos, and next to Tacos from Mexico & Mexicali, Tacos Leon is right there with the other's in the mother land! Im.there at least once a week. My favorite is EVERYTHING, but if you're in a pinch for time and or money, get the Burrito or Carne Asada with Pastor!!!! Also take Cash cause they're still old school and dont have a card reader. Best taco truck in Long Beach! THIS IS REAL CARNE ASADA TACOS! They use charcoal and "parillas" for that real CARNE ASADA flavor. They also have other meats, like cabeza aka head, tripa aka tripe which is super dorada, fried, which 99% of Mexicans like their tripitas bien doraditas.
