I went for brunch and dinner recently and both visits were so delightful. The staff is friendly and it is a family owned restaurant. For Christmas they had the cutest decorations - they go ALL out for the holidays. Everything I consumed was absolutely delicious! French toast and breakfast burritos were our brunch orders and then the fajitas and chicken chimichanga with one of their tacos was what I ordered for dinner. 10/10. Do not skip out on the queso! Queso and chips are a must have. All the desserts were wonderful. I didn't get a picture but the vanilla flan was my favorite. I will be back in the future for sure.

On the advice of fellow Yelper reviews .. tried Cafe Silvestre tonight... and so so glad I did! Ordered the Chile Verde Burrito Platter smothered with more Chile Verde, onions and cheese, served with rice and refried beans. IT WAS FANTASTIC! I have had a small appetite lately ... and I finished every morsel of food. Lots of pork, sauce, and for me, the right amount of spice! Buenissino! Can't wait to go back!

I get the feeling this new generation of this excellent family business is passionate about food. The menu is creative, and elevated and exciting. I love standard Mexican-American food "diner style" and Cafe Silvestre has always been good at that. Nostalgic. But the menu, plating, flavors and vibe here are all taking that comforting feeling to the next level in a surprising and delicious way. I'm excited to watch this place evolve and am hoping the vision will take off and -- many locations and variants later -- this team will be a huge success. Great food. Breakfast too. Really thoughtfully done.

Food is always amazing. In my opinion, better than Red Iguana. Ordering fast and efficient. Check out, the register would not let me get away from the tip screen. I hit no tip. I hot 0. Tip. I hit custom tip and hit 0. I finally had to insert 05 for the order and check out to finish my transaction. Must be new because I've never had that problem. This was an order for take out.

I have frequented this restaurant for the past few years with my coworkers and have grown to really love this place! We had not been for a couple months and to my surprise and excitement, they had updated and expanded their menu. Don't get me wrong, their previous menu was solid and had many favorite dishes that my coworkers and I would order every time we visited. But to see so many new items available on the menu was so exciting! Like many Mexican restaurants, you have the option to start the meal off with Chips & Salsa, and I would suggest doing so! Their chips are perfectly seasoned and their salsa has the perfect texture that I prefer - not too chunky and not too thin. I will say, it is on the garlicky side, so be aware! But I love the flavor and cannot stop eating it once I start. Before the revamped menu, I would order the Crispy Shrimp Tacos every time, and I would still suggest those for anyone who loves shrimp! The tortillas are on the bigger side and the shrimp is so crimpy and plump. I love them so much! This time, I decided that it was time to branch out a little bit and tried the Enchiladas Poblanas with Shrimp. This is NOW my new favorite dish! The creamy poblano sauce is absolutely to die for. I want that sauce on everything for the rest of forever. I also added some jalapenos on top which was the perfect touch. The serving size is big, but not overbearing. Perfect for enjoying one enchilada and taking the rest as leftovers (especially after I've overindulged in chips and salsa). I would also suggest getting the side of beans and rice because they're delicious and it would be a shame not to get it! I really love it at Cafe Silvestre! The service is consistently great even when it is busy and we've gone enough that the main server we usually get remembers us every visit! Before the menu changed, she even knew most of our orders! It's a great local Mexican spot that consistently delivers on flavor and experience!

the food was some of the best mexican food i ever had ! the service was 10/10 , they were extremely nice & always checking up on us to make sure we were good . the atmosphere was clean & the lighting in this restaurant was low which is extremely nice and not overwhelmingly bright . i was very satisfied with the freshness of the food , i encourage everyone to stop by and try for themselves !

I went to Cafe Silvestre for a birthday party and had a great time. The inside was fun with disco balls. The service was helpful and quick with meeting our tables demands. I really enjoyed my enchiladas, my favorite part was that I could ordered two different sauces with my order. The mole was surprisingly good! The green salsa was creamy. Although a bit different than what I'm used to, I enjoyed it very much.

We had a holiday family brunch here and all was great! They've updated their brunch menu since we last had it and have many more options from specialty pancakes and French toast to Mexican dishes. We had a variety and everything was great! The holiday decor is super fun and festive too.

The food was absolutely delicious. This restaurant has been around for over 27 years probably even longer. I'm sure. The service was amazing. The ambience was OK decorations a little funky, but the food and service makes up for it all.

Was craving Mexican food and used my handy dandy yelp app and found this place while we were visiting relatives in west valley ! This is one of those places where you shouldn't judge a book by its cover ! The outside is a little plain Jane with the name on the side but the inside was fully decorated for Halloween weekend! The food was BOMB !!! My step mother is Salvadorian and tends to be picky with her Mexican food and she was super Impressed! We came in closer to closing time so it wasn't super busy ! Plenty of parking ! And bonus points they have kids meals ! The chili verde was exactly what I was craving ! This will definitely be a spot in my rotation when we come back to town !

My hashbrowns were golden brown but on the colder side. It would have been not to have them on the warmer side. I was given two biscuits and a huge helping of country gravy. My favorite will always be country gravy on top of my hashbrowns. After breakfast we went and checked out the gift shop. I love all the Christmas decor everywhere. The server/barista was lovely and incredibly helpful, especially for a couple of first-timers. The only really yummy thing about this place was the homemade jam bar -- every single jam was delicious!! You stand in line to order and then find a seat. On a weekend when it's busy (and the line is to the door), I thought this awkward because almost all of the tables are situated between people standing in line waiting to order. There is outside seating, but it wasn't warm enough to sit outside. (The staff does a good job to clear tables as soon as someone leaves which is good!) I ordered a skillet and it was so basic and bland. The only thing that gave it any flavor was the cheese. Menu said caramelized onion and it was just diced, barely cooked onions. Basic scrambled eggs piled on some cheese, with chunks of uncooked tomatoes, diced onions, and bland potatoes. The biscuit that came on the Benedict was hard, the egg was overcooked, and there wasn't much sauce so by the end it was very dry. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things, but we paid $40 for two meals and one biscuit. Needless to say, this place is a pass for me.

There was one server and she seemed pretty busy. It took a bit of time for her to come get visit our table so we placed our drink orders and food at the same time. We had a couple of questions about the menu but there was a bit of a language barrier. Never fear because everything ended being good. We had a Hot Dog and Ring of Fire Dog and we both opted for a salad for our side. I asked for the habanero sauce on the side, but I thing it was just left off completely. The salads were great. I loved the chickpeas and the dressing that comes with them was super flavorful and light. Would definitely recommend. The hot dogs were really good too. BIG! We had a footlong dog for lunch and these were almost the same size. All of the toppings really worked well together. I loved how creamy mine was with the melted cheese, guac and aji sauce. I know it's my own fault for asking not to have the Habanero sauce but I wish the Ring of Fire Dog had been spicier. Oh well! I'd definitely come back here to drive other parts of their authentic delicious menu.
