I went for brunch and dinner recently and both visits were so delightful. The staff is friendly and it is a family owned restaurant. For Christmas they had the cutest decorations - they go ALL out for the holidays. Everything I consumed was absolutely delicious! French toast and breakfast burritos were our brunch orders and then the fajitas and chicken chimichanga with one of their tacos was what I ordered for dinner. 10/10. Do not skip out on the queso! Queso and chips are a must have. All the desserts were wonderful. I didn't get a picture but the vanilla flan was my favorite. I will be back in the future for sure. read more

I have frequented this restaurant for the past few years with my coworkers and have grown to really love this place! We had not been for a couple months and to my surprise and excitement, they had updated and expanded their menu. But to see so many new items available on the menu was so exciting! Like many Mexican restaurants, you have the option to start the meal off with Chips & Salsa, and I would suggest doing so! Their chips are perfectly seasoned and their salsa has the perfect texture that I prefer - not too chunky and not too thin. I will say, it is on the garlicky side, so be aware! But I love the flavor and cannot stop eating it once I start. Before the revamped menu, I would order the Crispy Shrimp Tacos every time, and I would still suggest those for anyone who loves shrimp! The tortillas are on the bigger side and the shrimp is so crimpy and plump. I love them so much! This time, I decided that it was time to branch out a little bit and tried the Enchiladas Poblanas with Shrimp. This is NOW my new favorite dish! The creamy poblano sauce is absolutely to die for. I want that sauce on everything for the rest of forever. I also added some jalapenos on top which was the perfect touch. The serving size is big, but not overbearing. Perfect for enjoying one enchilada and taking the rest as leftovers (especially after I've overindulged in chips and salsa). I would also suggest getting the side of beans and rice because they're delicious and it would be a shame not to get it! I really love it at Cafe Silvestre! Authentic Mexican cuisine in a festive setting. The host who seated us was a very pleasant young man. Sabrina, our server, seemed impatient at first but warmed up after ordering. We started with chips, salsa & guac and a couple of their $3 Thursday Special Margaritas, which was great. The OG ($18) had a chile verde burrito, cheese enchilada, and beef taco. My partner enjoyed it very much, saying the cheese was perfectly "melty" and fresh. My cheese enchiladas ($10) were very tasty without being overly salty. The front entrance was not obvious to me as it looked like a back or service door. A sign over it would be helpful. This was a pleasant dinner for a decent price with good service and ambiance. All of which were good but spicy so I wouldn't eat here if you don't like spicy food. My mom got the mango margarita which she said was the best she's ever had.
