The cashier asked if we wanted our tripas crispy or regular - we opted for the crispy option and it delicious! It was crispy and full of flavor. We also got a Birria taco, but it wasn't prepared traditionally where it had cheese and drenched in consome. Did not seem as though it was prepared traditionally. Lastly, we got a pollo quesadilla to try. This one surprised me because their pollo looked unseasoned and unappetizing when I peeled back the tortilla. To my surprise, this was actually delicious! Especially when we dipped it in the green salsa they offered. It looked like they used chicken thigh meat, which made it even more flavorful. Their Agua Fresca orange tasted like very sweet orange juice, super yummy! Our meal came with a small bag of chips and a tiny container of their salsa, which was amazing. It was slightly spicy but full of flavor. Overall, if you're looking for birria, maybe try somewhere else, but this place has a lot of other options that were delicious and lots that also look very promising, I'm just sad my stomach wasn't big enough to try more! read more

Next We received the order with out menudo , so my husband went and said sorry I believe you forgot putting the order for menudo , she yelled at him noooo you said nooo!!! .....!! Tacos Los Carnales has the best tacos around, hands down!!! The fried fish tacos with all the toppings (baja style) are absolutely killer--super authentic with fish that always tastes fresh. Their carne asada and chicken tacos are also fantastic, especially with their slightly chunky green sauce. The people are super helpful and they also give you free chips with red sauce and a side of beans for dipping. The beans alone are good enough to check this place out. Super disappointed with my purchase. Unfortunately going off of all the positive reviews I decided to place an online order. The beans and rice tasted old and bland...the rice was visibly hard. Super disappointed that this is what people consider acceptable to serve. This food is an embarrassment. I received a call after placing the order for delivery, that their minimum to place an order was $25 (I believe)..No big deal, switched to pick up. This place use to be good. They had a guacamole salsa that's no longer available. They would give you chips and a small container of beans with your order. I've been coming to Los Carnales since they opened this location and most recently the location over on foothill, in all honestly I've tried a bit of their menu but always came back for their tacos , all of their tacos are usually pretty good, however the customer service for the most part isn't always pleasant but i didn't care because i usually just picked up my food and left, most recently i've noticed their quality in their food has not been the same , im not sure if they look twice before serving their food to the customer but if they wouldn't eat that why would they think the customer would ? I continued to be a customer until yesterday when I ordered some carne asada tacos , the meat was all dried and burnt and had an excessive amount of the hard dried fat , and im not taking little pieces they were a good size , mind you i got these for one of my kiddos to eat and only reason i noticed was because she sat there and was having trouble swallowing her food she was literally almost chocking on that nasty piece of hard fat tissue , that's honestly unacceptable, the lady who served my food wouldn't eat that why does she think we would ? I called them right back and asked for my money back.
