I got to try Tacos Marilu when they were at a food festival. I ordered the quesabirria tacos with soyrizo which cost me about $20 total, when including tax and tip. I thought they were pretty good - the taco shells are nicely crispy and the tacos, including the soyrizo, are salty and flavorful. I appreciated that they will gladly put the sauces on the side since I am unfortunately only able to handle a mild level of spice, and it's really nice to have the soyrizo option since I rarely see a vegetarian/plant-based protein option offered for quesabirria anywhere. read more

Enjoyed a delicious and flavorful meal at the Foodie fest from Tacos Marilu. Service was friendly. Appreciated that all the salsas were on the side and that I was told which one is the spiciest (orange). Ordered the soyrizo street taco and quesadillas. It was a beautiful day to dine outdoor like a picnic after receiving the order. I'm so glad they had a the soyrizo vegetarian protein option. We are a non-profit in Oakland who has partnered with Ena and the TacosMariLu team on multiple occasions. Her meals look AND taste gourmet EVERY MEAL. Consistency is key and the menu options are incredible. I discovered them at a food fair and was floored by the quality - it was memorable and I hoped one day to have an event where we could partner. Their Pibil is outstanding and this is not a widely served dish out there. If you see them at a food fair try it for yourself. Ena is a true professional, an excellent communicator, does everything to work with your requests, keeps her word and her staff is equally incredible. Our most recent event had over 300 people come through, and she set up a gourmet burrito bowl and taco station, with a homemade salsa and guacamole + totopos bar (chips) indoors...IN ADDITION to the outdoor food truck! This made for an incredible meal experience for guests because they had multiple choices to dine and didn't have to wait in long lines. Best experience ever for an event! Everything is freshly made, hand crafted. Working in the food industry can be hard on everyone, but Ena takes care of her customers and her staff and it shows in the incredible meal experience. Tacos MariLu had amazing service and exceptional food for our picnic party! Ena was so nice from booking on the phone and day of. Ena was fabulous! We contacted her 9 days before we needed some taco catering services, and she was very responsive. She has a minimum of serving 30, but it was worth it and inexpensive. We had a graduation party with over 100 people and Ena served her tacos and quesadillas with ease. When I was looking for a taco caterer, she was quick to respond and very thorough. She was very easy to work with. Her business is fairly new but you would never know it as she knows what she is doing. She was there over an hour early to set up and was very accommodating. They served for two hours and were happy to stay a little longer. There was plenty of food and it was super delicious. People are still talking about it! She put the leftovers in containers for us to keep and there was quite a bit left over. Her prices were good and her selection was wonderful.
