I can see why everyone recommends this place. Since we arrived mid afternoon, we were able to seat ourselves in a booth that had a fan overhead which was super helpful in the scorching heat. The portion was easily enough for two. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly, sitting in a smoky, slightly spicy sauce in a traditional volcanic stone bowl. Absolutely delicious and one of those dishes you keep talking about long after the meal ends- and much to my travel companions dismay, I talked about it for many days after... Do yourself a favor and skip the churros-- The towering flan is the star. Everyone at the table agreed it was the best we have ever had. For what felt like a splurge night, the final bill was surprisingly reasonable, especially compared to US city prices.
