    Al pastor tacos and horchata

Bomb af pastor and aguas frescas. Get the horchata and a couple tacos and you're set. Cheap too. Nice people as well. Delicious!

If you're familiar with the area, looking for street parking sucks. It's a food truck located right on a corner of Park Blvd. Every taco meat was well seasoned. The texture of lengua, cabeza and tripa had a little more chewiness to it compared to other places but we didn't mind that. They're known for the adobada tacos. 1st bite.. yum! The outside of the tortilla was perfectly crisp. Looking back on the photo I took, I realized that they didn't give us the pineapple that usually comes with adobada. Also, for 8 tacos they only brought us out 1 red and 1 green sauce. Definitely not enough. The guy cleaned off our table for us and asked if we wanted more. We told him yes but then he forgot to come back out. Regardless, we enjoyed our meal. I'm willing to give them another try whenever we're in the area.

Tacos here are pricier than most spots and a little on the smaller size, but ended up being worth it. It's a cute little taco truck with some decent seating outside. If it gets busy there won't be enough space, but for a quick drive by eat it works. I ordered the lengua and adobada. The lengua was FIREEE, super tender and packed with flavor. Adobada was goood and had flavor. What made these stand out was the tortilla. It had a nice crisp texture that gave the tacos some good flavor and crunch! Different from the usual taco I'm used to but it was good. I only ordered 2 adobada at first but round 2 ordered a lengua. I did notice most ppl were getting cucumbers and salsa on the side, so not sure if you have to ask for it. Second go around I ended up asking! Red I didn't care for and green had a tiny spice and good flavor. Just a head up, parking can be a pain. I'd come back again.

Delicious adobada tacos and chicken quesadilla. There's a lot more to my review but whenever I try to write a review after I write my Google review yelp has issues. so go to my Google review to find out the nasty details

OMG. The tacos are probably one of the best tacos I've ever had. I had the carne asada and the Adobada tacos and they certainly did not disappoint. The asada was full of flavor, maybe a smidge salty for my taste but nothing a little lime can't fix. The Adobada came straight off the trompo and was crispy and fatty. Definitely use the lime to cut through the fattiness. The avocado was a nice touch and smoothed everything out. I wish I could rate it more than 5 stars. My food came out quick and the people behind the window were so nice. The space is small and very limited seating, but these are lovely on the go for sure. Come and show Tacos Minali some LOVE.

I was crying while eating those tacos, 10/10 better than el gordo, they did change the name to tacos minali i think it was tacos el flanco before

I went because of the hype taco fiend had and I was so disappointed the aguas frescas tasted so watered down, the tacos were so dry I felt like I was gonna choke you couldn't tell the difference between any meats just such bad food I got carne asada, adobada, pollo and chorizo. Only one that tasted different was the chorizo because it's chorizo but nonetheless dry I'm giving one star because the service was okay

I never write reviews but seeing this place getting slammed is wild!! Maybe bad days or they had just opened. I saw the negative reviews because I came on here to get the address to send to people. I go here 2-3 times a week. It's awesome! Nice people, fantastic food, great prices. These are the best tacos i've had in SD. I will admit, I have only tried the Carnitas and Birria tacos. They are so good I can never change. Also, ask for the complimentary "Birria Soup" which comes piping hot in a small white cup and I drench my tacos in it. Taco's with everything includes onions, guac, salsa and probably some other toppings I haven't noticed while pounding them down. Also cilantro, so if you don't like cilantro make sure to ask to hold it. You will also get cucumber slices, radish slices and lime wedges all complementary. Orders usually take 5-10 mins depending on how busy it is. There are also some really tasty hand made mexican style beverages available but I don't remember the names off-hand. Ask them... One is purple. English isn't the best so I sometimes use google translate to help. There is a nice little seating area outside there and they also pack it to go very well. Enjoy!!

Carne asada taco and adobado taco with everything
    The Observer T.

Was visiting SD from LA and could not go back to LA without having some SD Tacos/Burritos. I did some research and found these guys. Went in a Saturday night around 6. Really friendly chill staff working there. Ordered a carne asada taco and a Adobado taco with everything. This was really good, so good in fact I ordered two more. Prices are great and the complimentary consommé was very good. Not greasy at all. They had a dude there grilling the meats so I knew I was in for a treat. Highly recommend.

This place had just opened on the corner a few months ago which was close by and the sign said prices $3.50. I thought how much could a quesadilla be. I received two extremely greasy tiny tortillas with a little bit of avocado that seemed old and was charged $4.50. I'll never go back.

This was the next closest spot (it was actually some place else we were looking for) and since we aren't familiar with the area, we didn't know what Hillcrest was known for, and it was popping at 1:30 am! I told CK we have to hurry and beat the drunk crowds! This taco truck doesn't have prices listed and after our bill came out to $75 for 6 tacos and carne asada fries, we asked for the receipt (to make sure we weren't overcharged). But really, it's like ~$8 ea for a taco and $17.50 for carne asada fries! We ordered a keto taco, vampiro taco, and carne asada fries. Keto tacos are made with a cheese shell instead of tortilla and this was the best keto taco I've ever had because it isn't overly salty and it's a generous size - I'm still thinking about it today! The cheese was perfectly melted inside, I was so surprised how much he used. The vampiro taco took me by surprise. Either I've never had a good one and this place did it right, or it's the best one I've had also. Quick reference from google as to what a vampiro taco is: "A vampiro taco is a crispy Mexican street taco that features a griddled, crispy tortilla with a layer of melted cheese, topped with meat (like grilled steak), and finished with fresh toppings such as guacamole, onion, and salsa. It's a cross between a tostada and a quesadilla, known for its crunchy texture and savory, cheesy flavor." This vampiro taco was like a taco sandwich, and it was sooo good, cause the tortilla's that were used as buns were CRISPY! It was so filling, I couldn't finish my second vampiro taco (after I ate the keto). CK also loved the carne asada fries - but I didn't get to try it. Though we felt scammed out of $75 for 6 tacos and fries, we did say it was worth the money for how everything tasted. Definitely a stop for next time even when you're sober!

After ordering online at 20:20pm, my estimated pick up time was 8:39pm and got the order at 9:03pm. The cashier informed me their chicken is taking a while and added extra time to the wait. It probably would've been faster if they weren't so backed up. I ordered the Wagyu beef and chicken shawarma plate for me and my wife to share. I added 3 falafels and pita bread on top of it. The food was still fresh when I got home 15 mins later. Everything was good and just enough for us two. Also, I'm not sure why there's a range of where they may be located on Yelp since this is just a food truck that seems to be permanent at this location.

However to be fair, I think it was an understandable decision on PR's part to pre-cook a bunch of pizzas to quickly serve a large lunch crowd. Again, it was understandable, but maybe not the best decision. This time PR was back, and because it wasn't a free pizza party, they were serving up several of their pastas, which I had heard were better than their pizza. Well, my coworker was right...the pasta was much better than the pizza. I went with the truffle mac and cheese that came with a small piece of bread and a soda for $5. Keep in mind, that $5 deal was simply because my employer subsidized the rest of the cost. The pasta was cooked nice and al dente and the ground mushroom sauce was creamy and delicious. I appreciated that they served it with some additional S&P, and I liked the added parmesan on the dish as well. Unfortunately though, the "truffle" was only from added truffle oil that was really lacking in this dish. The mac was tasty but it was really missing that truffle flavor. Although the pre-cooked pizza was a big miss for me, the mac and cheese helped PR redeem themselves. Thanks PR! Overall 3.5 stars!

It intrigued me but it took me a few weeks to make it back as I am partial to Kiko's place and wasn't sure if it was temporary or not! I finally made it up there yesterday after hearing good things on nextdoor.com and to my surprise they already had advanced from a taco stand to a food truck! Also instead of being there Th-Sun they are going to be there every day except for Monday! I took this as a good sign and figured they must be doing something right! I could not believe the fish tacos were only $1 each! The rest of the menu items also were very cheap. I ordered 2 fish tacos and my gf ordered the nopal and pastor taco. The total for our food was $5, can't beat that for a authentic dinner out! We didn't have to wait long and all the tacos were EXCELLENT. In my opinion the fish tacos were the best but that's just what I prefer. These are street tacos so they are a bit smaller than a full on soft taco but two was a good amount, three would have really filled me up. I am definitely going to come back. All the employees on the truck were super friendly and were very thorough in explaining all the different items on the menu. I have a feeling it is a family run food truck and they are still working out a few kinks but they are definitely on the right path. I would suggest better seating. They only had 2 high stools and a lower table. I think if they set the mood with better music, seating and lighting it could be a neighborhood hangout.
