I ordered the steak, carnitas and upgraded the last taco to a birria. Water is self service and my food came out quickly. They had quite the variety of salsas. It ranged from light spice to very spicy. There wasn't one that was just mild. I tried the 3 middle ones and all had their own unique flavor and spice to it. The tacos were a bit disappointing. The steak and carnitas were fairly dry. I ended up dipping my carnitas into the consomme and that helped. I also did not notice much of a difference in my taco shell for the birria. It does cost extra to make the birria, so I wasn't thrilled about that. The consomme was a good compliment to the birria though. I will probably come back and try a burrito from this restaurant. Maybe the tacos aren't their strong suit.

That level of hospitality really sets a restaurant apart. The service felt more like being welcomed into a friend's home than dining out, which was such a refreshing experience. The fajitas were very tasty and delicious--no complaints at all there. The toasted michelada was okay; I might suggest a salted or Tajín rim to enhance the flavor a bit more. We understand they're probably still working through some challenges since this was only their second night back. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The restaurant's posted closing time is 10:00 p.m., but around 9:37 p.m. the lights were shut off while we were still dining, which made us feel rushed and unwelcome. To make matters worse, our waitress disappeared for the last 30-40 minutes of our meal. We never saw her again to check on us, refill drinks, or bring our check. We ended up having to get the hostess to help us so we could pay and leave. We genuinely wanted to support the restaurant and hope this was just part of the growing pains of reopening. However, if the kitchen or dining room needs to close earlier during this period, it would be much better to communicate that to customers rather than making guests feel rushed out before the posted closing time. We truly hope things improve because we've enjoyed coming here in the past and want to continue supporting the restaurant.

I have enjoyed Tortas before (not here) so I was expecting a decent sammy. It was 30min before closing time so I tried to be quick with ordering. I asked the girl at the register what their most popular Torta was, and I was immediately met with a "deer in the headlights " look. She didn't give a clear answer and I could see there was a language barrier, so I just pointed to the Güera (chicken breast) and specifically asked for no mayo or onions. I wanted to dine in but also wanted to be considerate of closing, so I took my order ToGo. At home and two bites in, I realized I got the wrong sandwich! What should've been chicken I discovered some bad cheese, mayo and a hot dog (ick!). Something I absolutely did not want. I ended up throwing the whole thing away. $23 down the drain and an evening of being sick was so not worth it!
