Two carne asada tacos with cilantro and onion and salsas on the side.

As a transplant from East LA, it's been hard trying to find a really good taco place. I think I've found my new go-to taco stand here in Cypress. Tacos Jalisco on Western & Cerritos makes really good carne asada. My tacos reminded me of King Taco and Sergios. Their salas were different, but still very tasty. I will be returning here often

My FAVORITE place for tacos! Located on the corner of Western and Cerritos, this little place in unsuspecting, but I'm so happy to have found it. You can dine in or go through their drive through. I always get their lengua tacos ($2), and they are LOADED. Flavorful, tender, juicy. It's everything you ever wanted! Tacos come with a side of lightly pickles veggies. Carrots and jalapeños are the best. Cucumber is ok (the salt helps). Radishes sadly are a bit too bitter for me. I wish they had pickled onions. It would make everything . You can also ask for extra hot sauce and red sauce.

We did a pick up order and by the time we got there, the food was ready, which was perfect. We had the beef tacos and the beef and cheese quesadilla. They gave so many extra sides which I appreciated. Great flavor and taste in the beef, the salt and the juice was perfection. The quesadilla was the best, especially the melting cheese and cheese crisps. Such good flavors!

Couldn't decide on dinner and remember this place by a park. They have a menu outside and literally drive to the window to order. They offer tacos burritos Tortas Mulitas menudo quesadilla soft drinks and ethnic drinks. Meats include asada, al pastor, poll, lengua, tripa, buche, and possibly cabeza? Order a lengua taco and 4 asada tacos and somehow a extra lengua taco came with the order. Order a Diet Coke but never got it but was never charge for it. Tacos were warm and served on corn griddled up tortillas. Plenty of meat in both. Asada had an acidic flavor to it and the lengua was soft and tender. Tacos were $1.50 to $1.60 depending how you read the sign. Please note $.50 surcharge fee for use of a credit card. (All major ones excepted) For quick tacos, easy to order, receive, and consume. Masks are worn by the employees but uncertain of gloves.

Carne asada tacos are soooo good here! Very juicy, not dry and good portion and price. Wish the al pastor tasted a little better.

I've been coming here since it was originally named Alberto's...The outside seating has not changed. It's still the same round table bench with the red umbrella. Service is the same, they're pretty quick at getting your food prepped. Now I said that their carne asada has always been reliable, but my last two times I've ordered a carne asada burrito (sour cream and cheese only) or a CA burrito, IYKYK, their meat has tasted different. It taste like it's some carne asada and then like some other mystery meat, sometimes liver... Either way I stop eating it when I have tasted it being weird. Maybe it's the other meats they serve that get mixed in. I don't dig that. So for that I would rate them down to a 3 star. I'm rating their 3 rolled tacos as 4 stars! It's the best around. It has the crunch and enough meat inside. It's not all tortilla like some places. We always order it with sour cream and cheese only, with carrots on the side. I've tried adeltacos down the street and it doesn't compare. Get it here.

However, this is the 2nd time we've had a missing item from our takeout. We moved away, but grew up with Albertaco's and we LOVE IT. Carne asada fries, chicken quesadilla, cali burrito, their red salsa, chef's kiss. Last year May 2025, we drove and did takeout for our brothers birthday. We ordered 2 carne asada fries, and they only gave us 1 (our order was big). Yesterday, May 17,2026, I drove out here again for my brother's birthday request to do takeout for our entire family. Ordered 2 orders of their rolled tacos, finally got home to see that we only received 1 order of the rolled tacos, not 2 (we also ordered more things). Yes, you'd obviously like for everything that you paid for to be handed to you, but a lesson learned to check your bags!!! If something is missing, kindly let them know and receive everything you paid for. Not the end of the world, we love this place as this is one of our childhood comfort foods/go-to places.. we moved away and miss this place all the time, and to make our birthdays feel like home/childhood, we drive out here to show our loved one some extra love with Albertaco's BOMB food, but yeah, it's a bummer when you're missing things that you paid for & is shown on the receipt (will post receipt photo shortly).

This time I went a different direction though and picked up one of their Torta options - the Cubana. Fresh homemade bread with all of the fixings one would expect in a Cuban inspired Torta - quite large as well! The fam got Super Burritos, some with chicken and one with Al pastor. They had nothing but good to say - my son noting that it was really fresh tasting. The service was friendly and knowledgable, and they had our somewhat large order out in really good time. While you wait there's some arcade machines set to free play, a salsa bar with plenty of options, including roasted jalapeños. The place is clean with plenty of seating, and if I wasn't in a rush I'd have probably eaten there nust to get a few more rounds of Marvel v Capcom 2 in. ;)

They tack on extra charges not listed on the menu. Ordered 3 tacos and paid $19 something (handed him $20 and got some coin change). It was 2 carnitas tacos (listed for ~$4.40 each), plus an El Jefe taco (~$6.75). When he said $19 something it sounded high, I questioned it and he said that's what it is. I didn't want to argue further. I calculated it afterward and this was overpaying by $2 something. The amount is not a big deal, but I don't like being stolen from. So I'm writing this, so that others may avoid the same annoying experience. I was hoping the tacos would be really good and justifies it. But they weren't. The El Jefe one wasn't even as described. He said there would be cheese but there wasn't. The guac tasted old. And the whole plate was incredibly oily. The carnitas ones were less oily but not very flavorful either, and there were chunks of fat. Never again. Also the place was just gross. They used the same ladle for all the sauces, so it was all cross contaminated. The bathroom looked like a mess and had graffiti everywhere too.
