4 star rating is for their 3-Roll Taco. This place has always been reliable for their carne asada, California Burrito, chicken chimichangas, and 3-rolled tacos. I've been coming here since it was originally named Alberto's...The outside seating has not changed. It's still the same round table bench with the red umbrella. Service is the same, they're pretty quick at getting your food prepped. Now I said that their carne asada has always been reliable, but my last two times I've ordered a carne asada burrito (sour cream and cheese only) or a CA burrito, IYKYK, their meat has tasted different. It taste like it's some carne asada and then like some other mystery meat, sometimes liver... Either way I stop eating it when I have tasted it being weird. Maybe it's the other meats they serve that get mixed in. I don't dig that. So for that I would rate them down to a 3 star. I'm rating their 3 rolled tacos as 4 stars! It's the best around. It has the crunch and enough meat inside. It's not all tortilla like some places. We always order it with sour cream and cheese only, with carrots on the side. For takeout, check your bags please I understand they are busy & doing their best to ensure that your order is right. However, this is the 2nd time we've had a missing item from our takeout. We moved away, but grew up with Albertaco's and we LOVE IT. Carne asada fries, chicken quesadilla, cali burrito, their red salsa, chef's kiss. Last year May 2025, we drove and did takeout for our brothers birthday. We ordered 2 carne asada fries, and they only gave us 1 (our order was big). Yesterday, May 17,2026, I drove out here again for my brother's birthday request to do takeout for our entire family. Ordered 2 orders of their rolled tacos, finally got home to see that we only received 1 order of the rolled tacos, not 2 (we also ordered more things). Yes, you'd obviously like for everything that you paid for to be handed to you, but a lesson learned to check your bags!!! If something is missing, kindly let them know and receive everything you paid for. This is our go to fast food Mexican that is reasonable and fast. We were at the Cypress Home Depot and we were craving breakfast burritos and the little food shack at HD sells their breakfast burritos for $15.99. I've never tried it so I don't know how good it is or if it's even worth it. Anyhow, Albertaco's is right at the corner. Bacon breakfast burritos for under $9.00 is the norm. It filled me up. They use French fries instead of potatoes cooked on the flat top or what we got at least were fries. I don't know if I can specify. It did the job and got my morning breakfast burrito cravings fixed. Don't recommend. I used to come here fairly often for the Carne Asada Fries and out of nostalgia. I will say, the portion size for the fires is huge and feeds 2-3 people. They are also quick with order preparation. I stopped coming here when I slowly started to realize the quality of the food. The food is cold and the meat doesn't taste the freshest. Wow, Albertacos is not what it used to be, and I wish that was a good thing. This used to be THE place to get some late-night grub, but especially the california burritos, carne asada fries, taquitos ("rolled tacos"), etc. Not anymore. I ordered my usual order of taquitos. They come topped with lots of cheese and so hot and oily from the fryer that they melt the Styrofoam container a little bit. Anyway, I rolled up to the window to pay and get my food after ordering. When the cashier opened the window, I didn't smell any food smells; it smelled somewhat like sewage. Still, I paid and took my food, but thinking about that smell made me wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen and I couldn't find the appetite to eat it. Not too long ago there was a health inspection with something like 11 violations. More recent inspections seem to be fine, but that many violations didn't help anything. This is NOT the goat that everyone used to love and praise. I've been going to this spot for many years and it's sad to see how far off it's been from what it used to be. The food used to be the best in the area and nothing could come close. Nowadays it's not as good and it's actually really disappointing. The fries came out looking like things were just thrown together. The flavors were just not there like it used to be. The crispiness is gone too - maybe just soaked? The horchata used to be some of the best I've had. Nowadays it's been consistently disappointing. Every time I order it I'm hoping it'll be good like it used to be, only to find that it's very watered down and just not good anymore. During my most recent visit I ordered a side of flour tortillas to make my fries into burritos but also to give to my niece and nephew who love tortillas. When I got home I come to realize that they gave me a side of corn tortillas instead - how disappointing! The service is still pretty consistent. Not great but not terrible. You're ordering at a window or a call box so you can't expect a lot. There's only outdoor seating here so the ambiance is really up to you and the weather. Parking can be tricky if it's busy, otherwise you'd have to park at a nearby plaza or business. Overall, I can't say I'd recommend this place like I used to. It just doesn't hit the same anymore. The flavors, consistency and value just aren't there anymore. But if you're feeling the munchies late night and just want a quick fix then I guess it's still good for that. The beef was nicely seasoned, and the hot sauce served on the side paired with it perfectly, adding just the right amount of kick. The beef taquitos were also very good--crispy, filled generously, topped with plenty of melted cheese, and finished with a guacamole sauce that was especially tasty. The rice and beans were average, nothing bad, just not standout--but everything else more than made up for it. All in all, a very solid experience, especially for a first visit. Also wheres the rice and beans. Price also listed around 8$ and I was charged 13? The main benefit it's that it's open at all hours and the menu is what you'd expect. Is it outstanding? I wouldn't say any of that. I come here for convenience and because we know what we are getting here. We eat this because we know exactly what to expect from it. Either they need to hire more staff, train them better or pay them more. They are messing up orders non stop. It's just that local spot that you want to get when you want something simple (while drunk or whatevs). Tbh, it's not really the best tasting but it hits almost every single time.. it's really just one of those things. Albertacos is one of my favorite spots for authentic Mexican food. My absolute go-to here is the carne asada fries (or the super fries) -- the portions are huge for the price, so you're getting a great deal. The combination of the sour cream, guacamole, fries, and perfectly seasoned meat is just insanely good. I also love that the fries they use are thinner and crispier than at most other places, which makes everything taste even better. Their fish tacos are also a standout -- super crispy, flavorful, and satisfying every time. The drive-thru is another big win here. It's super fast and I've never had an issue. Even though they technically have two lanes, I've never actually seen both in use... probably lucky I haven't gone at super busy times yet. We have been coming here a lot lately for late night dinner. We always get the three rolled tacos with guacamole and cheese aka taquitos. These taquitos are huge and very filling. They don't skimp on the cheese and guacamole. They are tasty, but wish they could be crispier and less greasy. I recently tried their fish taco and would never get it again. They obviously use frozen fish and the corn totortilla was chewy and kind of hard. I've been getting the free chips and cheese with the Yelp check-in as well. Those are good. The chips are crispy and taste homemade. However, they get soggy fast. To drink, our go to is the horchata. It is creamy, refreshing and pairs well with the taquitos. I moved to the area recently and people have told me they love this albertaco's. It's the one they drive to from cerritos, or fullerton. Having been now... I'm completely befuddled by that to be honest, because it's pretty much like any calimex place I've been to. On the flip side seeing the yelp reviews, I'm also a little surprised to see how low some reviews are and the bad experiences they've had. I haven't had issues with the service. Not the friendliest people in the world, but they've gotten my order right. I ask for the Habanero Sauce in a breakfast burrito, and each time I have, the burrito has the spicy sauce and tastes good. I wish it was a little less salty, but it's take out Calimex and it is what it is. Pricing it seems high, but then again what place isn't these days. They're quick, get my order right, they're consistently decent in terms of quality for me, but I think I'm also really only ordering breakfast burritos or nachos. Maybe a rolled taco on occasion. I don't think I'd brave Seafood in a calimex place unless they were known for it. If I have been doing stuff that requires multiple home depot trips, I'm glad I can reach this place from the same parking lot to grab a meal. read more

Dangerous! Absolutely not what it used to be. After a 12 hour shift at the hospital, got two burritos and asada fries. Everything was COLD. Tortilla, meat, fries, etc. I called to explain and the lady refused to help. It's been a day and she said they would NOT honor an exchange if I came the next day. She then told me it's cold because of the pico and sour cream. Did she think we were kids? Two ingredients wouldn't make the entire meal "refrigerator" cold. We threw everything away. This place stays ripping your off. All of their prices on the menu are unreadable so they can intentionally charge you whatever they want. Sometimes when I get a bean and cheese burrito it is $9.50, sometimes 9.99. I went and got 2 breakfast burritos for their $7.99 special and was still charged $9.99. I went through this drive through at around 12:30am on Thursday 2-19-2026 I ordered a couple chicken tacos and some chips with cheese. I pulled over to eat since I had an hour drive and the tacos didn't taste right, cold chicken, stale taco shells, I only ate like 1/3 of one. So I pulled back around and told the girl and asked for something else. So she gave me some chicken taquittos instead. I ate 3 and threw the rest away because they didn't taste right either. Well, at 10am all hell broke loose and I had to be rushed to the ER after spending hours in my bathroom and was admitted to the hospital for 3 days because I was so freaking sick from food poisoning. So now it's early Monday morning and I'm finally home feeling like crap, but alive , and now I have a huge hospital bill that I have to pay, which isn't fair to me. I feel that as consumers we should have a reasonable expectation of cleanliness and care that we don't get food poisoning when we go through a drive-through. So I will be reporting this in the morning to them and to the health department. read more

The guy at the cash register has a smug, arrogant attitude and always lies to people. I called at 5:00 PM asking if my order was ready, they told me it would be ready in 5 more minutes, and now it's almost 6:00 PM and I'm still waiting. They treat customers like clowns and show complete disrespect. They deserve to be filmed and sued by a strong lawyer so they stop messing with customers.
