    Carne Asada Fries
    Katie D.

Don't recommend. I used to come here fairly often for the Carne Asada Fries and out of nostalgia. I will say, the portion size for the fires is huge and feeds 2-3 people. They are also quick with order preparation. I stopped coming here when I slowly started to realize the quality of the food. The food is cold and the meat doesn't taste the freshest. Service isn't terrible but staff aren't the most warm. This is a drive through spot, there is no indoor dining but they have seats outside.

Carne Asada Fries and Side of Corn Tortillas

This is NOT the goat that everyone used to love and praise. I've been going to this spot for many years and it's sad to see how far off it's been from what it used to be. The food used to be the best in the area and nothing could come close. Nowadays it's not as good and it's actually really disappointing. The fries came out looking like things were just thrown together. The flavors were just not there like it used to be. The crispiness is gone too - maybe just soaked? The horchata used to be some of the best I've had. Nowadays it's been consistently disappointing. Every time I order it I'm hoping it'll be good like it used to be, only to find that it's very watered down and just not good anymore. During my most recent visit I ordered a side of flour tortillas to make my fries into burritos but also to give to my niece and nephew who love tortillas. When I got home I come to realize that they gave me a side of corn tortillas instead - how disappointing! The service is still pretty consistent. Not great but not terrible. You're ordering at a window or a call box so you can't expect a lot. There's only outdoor seating here so the ambiance is really up to you and the weather. Parking can be tricky if it's busy, otherwise you'd have to park at a nearby plaza or business. Overall, I can't say I'd recommend this place like I used to. It just doesn't hit the same anymore. The flavors, consistency and value just aren't there anymore. But if you're feeling the munchies late night and just want a quick fix then I guess it's still good for that. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.

Alberto's Mexican Food - Cypress, CA February 5, 2026 First visit This was my first time at Alberto's Mexican Food in Cypress, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the beef taco and beef taquitos, and both hit the spot. The beef taco came loaded with lettuce and cheese, and the shell was perfectly cooked--not greasy, not soggy. The beef was nicely seasoned, and the hot sauce served on the side paired with it perfectly, adding just the right amount of kick. The beef taquitos were also very good--crispy, filled generously, topped with plenty of melted cheese, and finished with a guacamole sauce that was especially tasty. The rice and beans were average, nothing bad, just not standout--but everything else more than made up for it. All in all, a very solid experience, especially for a first visit. I'd definitely return and try more items on the menu.

Cleanliness NA Cost 4 Cuisine 4 Customer service NA We ordered through door dash. 4 stars for the cuisine due to the large quantities. The taste was more like 3 stars though. The Mission Viejo California burrito was pretty good. The cheese quesadilla was very oily. The Carne asada fries were average tasting, The regular fries didn't taste good either. I wouldn't order them again. I would try this place again to try another burrito.

This drive through place was fast and good was fine. Was it the best ever? No. But my taquitos were fine. Good price, too.

Been coming here for 20 years and it's a hit or miss in terms of quality. This location has my favorite breakfast burrito in all of SoCal. They keep their prices affordable for a quick taco shack. Today had the carne asada fries and it was disappointing. Fries were hard and stale, most likely cooked hours ago. Asked them to reheat it thinking it would make it better but it did not. Be sure to ask for fresh items when your order here so it doesn't happen to you.

It's like they purposely add more when you ask for less

Went in waiting so long and only have 3 card ahead of me. Placed my order specifically asked for less sour cream as you see on the ticket. Seems like they purposely add more. Couldn't even eat it

    Chinichanga sauce

Super disappointed... tried something new and shouldn't have. I ordered a chimichanga (fried burrito) comes with rice and beans no mention of it being drowned in sauce. Opened up my container to find my burrito floating in sauce no rice or beans. They did add sour cream and guacamole to the plate but why would I want a fried burrito drowned in sauce? Also wheres the rice and beans. Price also listed around 8$ and I was charged 13? Pulled my burrito out of the sauce swimming pool and literally my sour cream was floating lol pic below.... soggy burrito for 13$ is crazy when I can go to Don Ruben down the street for half the price and know it'll be good with friendly service. Plus side of Albertacos is they are open 24 hours a day I would say be very specific on what you want and you'll have better luck

We were looking for a place open on a Monday night at 11:30 PM, and I'm so glad this spot was open! We chose it over another location because of the great reviews. The service was impressively fast -- we got our order right away without any wait. For a late-night option, this place is solid. Not my absolute favorite, but surprisingly good! I just wish the food had a bit more salt, less sour cream, and more guacamole. Overall, it definitely satisfied our late-night cravings -- yum!

Did the recipe change for the adobada? I have been eating the adobada french fries consistently for the last 2 years and today the meat is Pork but has a chorizo flavor and completely different. I'm just curious. And the fries aren't crispy as usual.

The place was busy as usually and we were told that wait would be around 15-20 minutes. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. I ordered Macallan 12 Yr. and to my surprise, the bartender served it on a brandy glass rather than on a whiskey glass. Bad start. In less than five minutes our table was ready, not where we asked, but on the patio. It was cold and we asked the server to shut off the ceiling fan on top of us. Never happened. We ordered our food and asked for the wine list. Oddly enough the beverage list did not have a wine list, we as the server again for a wine list, another server came and told us that we did not see the wine list on the beverage list. We told him there is not a wine list on the list. A third server brought another similar list with a wine list. We ordered a Joel Gott Cabernet. We got our food but not the wine. We waited and waited and no wine was served. We asked another server to find out about the wine. The original server brought one single glass of wine, and we reminded him that we had ordered a full bottle. Another ten minutes passed and still no wine. By then, we were almost done with our meals. My grandson got up and told the server to forget the wine. Five minutes later another server brought the same glass of wine and left on the table. I thought, well people make mistakes, the place was packed and they felt bad about our bad experience. We got the check and to my surprise they charged me $11 for the glass of wine I did not order. As a former business owner, I always welcomed customers' suggestions.

Like many Mexicans, I grew up believing that the best Mexican food can only be found in Mexico. However, La Huasteca completely exceeded my expectations. You can tell they put a lot of care into the quality and preparation of their food. The service was great, the atmosphere was welcoming, and most importantly, the food tasted like real Mexican food. That's not something I say often. If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine and don't mind paying a little extra for quality, I highly recommend La Huasteca. We will definitely be coming back.
