Chicken Sopes $4.50 Fish Taco $4.50 Chicken Taco $3.00

I recently ate at taco Selene it's a little hole in the wall taco spot in Aurora and I really enjoyed this place. I got the house special fish taco and the chicken taco and a chicken sopes and everything was seasoned so well! just overall good cooking and their salsas paired very well with the tacos and they have a variety. We also tried the Jamaica drink. It was good. I wish the flavor was a little bit stronger, but I did like that. It wasn't overly sweet.

Yum! Everything you've heard about it is true- best tacos in Aurora. The end. Whatever they use to marinate the meat is absolutely divine. Carne Asada taco was melt in your mouth delicious. The Al Pastor taco has a sweet and tangy taste. It pairs well with everything. The salsa bar is a serve-yourself-delicious treat with fresh ingredients and superb spice. Service is super fast with tacos coming out about 4 minutes after you place the order. The dining area offers many seating options. Love and will be back again. At $2.50 per taco, it's a true steal.

Without even thinking about it, we rolled up on a Tuesday and enjoyed the special of $2 tacos for taco Tuesday. And my husband kept saying "I should have ordered more." All of the tacos were SO good. Great prices, impressive time to readiness, kind staff. And most important - DELICIOUS! There's also a salsa/toppings buffet bar that has some tasty sauces and pickled veggies!

Carnitas torta

Soooo good! The girl who took our order was so nice. Love the salsa bar! So many yummy salsas to choose from. I ordered the carnitas torta with extra jalapeño! The torta was so juicy (not dry at all) lots of flavor! The best part was the big chunks of jalapeño! The torta was so filling I couldn't eat it all.

I'm from California and grew up in a predominantly Mexican neighborhood...so trust me when I say that this restaurant is LEGIT! The prices here are some of the best around! $2.50 for a taco ($2 each for Taco Tuesdays), and $9 a burrito or quesadilla. They serve authentic, genuine flavors and there's a self-serve salsa/condiment bar with lots of great options. This last time around, I ordered 2 tacos de bucce (cheek) and a carne asada burrito with sour cream. My tacos were very flavorful and paired very well with the habanero/orange salsa. My burrito was absolutely delicious and so filling! It's packed very thick and I had plenty of leftovers. This is my new go-to Mexican food joint and I look forward to returning!

Been here 3 o4 times, always good, always great service. One of the best taco places in Denver.

I went here on a recommendation from a friend, and I told him I wasn't sure if I wanted to curse him or thank him because this place is addictive! This small business is in a strip mall off of 6th Avenue between Buckley and Chambers. Food is made to order and at $2.50 for tacos, cheap! The meat is flavorful, seasoned well, and tender. Served on corn tortillas with onions and cilantro, it can be eaten on its own--but if you want some spice (and I mean SPICE), head over to their salsa bar. Pickled veggies and lime as well as multiple fresh salsas await to accompany your tacos, tortas, sopas, burritos, or quesadillas. You can eat in the restaurant or get it to go. I will definitely be back soon for more! (I will try to wait at least a few days before my return, but that's going to be hard.)

This place is the best authentic Mexican taco shop I've been to. Taco Tuesday is $2 a taco and it is generous on portions. Service is fast. Casual seating inside

No frills taco shop in Aurora. From all the taco restaurants I tried in Colorado, I like Tacos Selene the best. It totally gives the mom and pop shop vibes. You order from the counter first, they give you a number and then sit wherever you want. As you wait for your tacos, tortas or burritos, go to the salsa and condiments bar to grab the limes, 4 different types of salsa, sliced radishes, etc. It's my first time here but I definitely enjoyed the lengua and carne asada tacos. I can't decide which salsas were my favorite but the orange one definitely has a kick- to the point that I had to wipe my nose and all that lol. Will definitely be back and try the burritos & quesadilla! This might by my go-to taco place now :)

Pretty spacious casual local taco shop with self serve sauce bar and soft drink dispenser machine. This is my favorite taco restaurant in Aurora for very affordable and delicious taco Tuesday. Fast food restaurant system to order at the register, they give you a card with number to hang up, and bring food to your table (so not really that much "service"). Green sauce is mild, orange sauce is medium, and brownish red sauce is pretty spicy. Strongly recommend the horchatta as must order drink!

Al Pastor and adobada.

The tacos are great! There's a little bar with salsas and other toppings to add more flavor. I'll have to try a burrito next time

A lot of places popped up, but this Mexican restaurant really stood out -- great reviews and the food pictures looked amazing. It's about 13 minutes from the airport, which made it super convenient. From the outside, it looks small, but once you walk in, it's surprisingly spacious. We were seated immediately, and our server was absolutely phenomenal -- so friendly, attentive, and welcoming. For an appetizer, we ordered the queso fundido with chorizo (you can choose corn or flour tortillas). This is one of my favorite dishes to get at any Mexican restaurant if they offer it, and this one did not disappoint. The cheese was perfectly melty and stretchy, and the chorizo had great flavor that paired so well with it. Wrapping that cheesy, savory goodness in a warm tortilla? So good. For my main dish, I ordered the quesabirria -- corn tortillas filled with birria and cheese, fried crispy, and served with consommé for dipping. It was decent, but I will say it didn't have quite as much flavor as I'm used to with quesabirria. Still enjoyable, just could've used a bit more seasoning. The beans were actually delicious and full of flavor, but the rice was a little bland and could've used some salt. Overall, the service was amazing, the restaurant was clean, and even though it was busy, everything came out in a timely manner. The prices were also very reasonable -- definitely not expensive for the quality and portions. I would absolutely come back to try other dishes. With just a little more seasoning in some areas, it would easily be a five-star spot for me!

I visited the food truck located on Hampden after hearing good things about the food. I have to…read moresay, the food was delicious and definitely the highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing. We were told our total was $32, but when I paid with a card, the final charge came to $34.93. When I asked why the amount was different, I was told it was because I paid with a card. I understand that taxes and fees may apply, but customers should be told the full amount before being charged. What bothered me the most was the attitude. When I politely asked for clarification, the person cooking responded in a rude and arrogant way, saying, "You know that in the United States you have to pay sales tax." I wasn't questioning whether sales tax exists, I was simply asking why the amount I was quoted was different from the amount I was charged. I also noticed that my receipt showed a Denver sales tax rate of 9.15%, even though the food truck was located in Aurora on Hampden, which added to the confusion. The food is excellent, but the customer service and lack of clear communication left a negative impression. I would return for the food, but I hope they work on treating customers with more respect and explaining charges more clearly.
