Shrimp taco & Carne Asada taco

1.5* -0.5* for serving LEMONS over LIMES, crime at its finest This was not the best picture, but neither were the tacos. I love authentic Mexican food, especially a STREET TACO. I don't understand what the fuss is about here. This was my 2nd visit. 1st visit my tacos were drenched in sauce, I like to taste the FLAVORs, so EASY on the sauce pal. &&& the sauce was soooooo not it! I learned my lesson & ordered sauce on the side the 2nd time around & the meat was nearly tasteless... also CASH ONLY! a million & 1 working the truck & service is beyond slow. & u bet not dare THINK about asking for EXTRA salsa verde. Very stingy with the verde! There's too many street taco options in Oakland for me to return here.

Food: 8/10 Service: N/A (pay at the food truck and seat yourself or take home) Value: 5/10 Wait time: 5 minutes to order on Sunday at 12noon Portion size: medium I have been here many times but this is my first time writing a review. I haven't been in a while since they got rid of the 2nd food truck and the line is just too long. This time there was barely a line so I had to get some! I ordered steak tacos and 1 lengua taco. Definitely still delicious but the price has gone up probably due to inflation and covid. Its now $3.25 for one taco! The lengua is definitely a favorite if you want to be adventurous. Its beef tongue but its so tender and juicy that you have to try it! All meals are served with a side of radishes, carrots and jalapeños. I would also ask for a side of salsa to add to the tacos because this time there wasn't as much as I remembered.

I got chicken burrito and had a good street food experience there today. International boulvard is full of food trucks. You probably heard about places with the best tacos in Oakland, this is one of them. I was passing there and stopped by to get some food for lunch. Food was yummy and everything in it was fresh. Very fast and polite staff. If you're looking for some good mexican street food-this is a place you should give a try. Next time I'll try something else and share some pictures. +++only cash there+++

If you're craving authentic Mexican food and are in the East Bay, Sinaloa is the one. I've been here so many times and this taco truck just HITS. Just make sure you bring cash. Service is usually quick as the food is made to order. The truck is located right by Fruitvale and there's a small parking lot. Sometimes I'm in the mood for tacos and other times, a burrito. Both are great! I'd say 3 tacos are enough to get me full since they don't skimp on the meat. The super burrito is literally the size of your forearm and can feed like 2-3 people. The carnitas are always crispy, but not dry. The al pastor (my favorite and go-to) is very balanced and not too sweet. Sometimes it can be a bit greasy though and can leak through the burrito, but with my frequent visit, the al pastor was done just right. Make sure you ask for salsa because sometimes it's not included with the pickled jalapenos and carrots, radishes, and lime.

Carne asada and carnitas tacos

Tacos Sinaloa is one of my all fave-go to taco spots. My favorite tacos to get are the carnitas tacos. They press them on to the grill or something like that and makes the meat crispy which I love. I also really like the carne asada tacos and the burritos! Omg I had not thought of getting a burrito because I felt like I always wanted tacos when I went, but all of the staples such as meat, beans and rice are so delicious. When you have the staples down, pretty much any mix of food you get will be good. We always order a large horchata to go with it. They only take cash so remember that. They have outdoor seating which is nice, but it's usually a long line so I always like to go before the lunch rush.

It always bothers me that it's Tacos Sinaloa instead of Tacqueria Sinaloa... Anyways, I first discovered Tacos Sinaloa because they served tacos for a grad event in Berkeley. (I think they are my first taco truck ever!) Fast forward many years later and I'm no longer a starry-eyed college grad, but the tacos are as delicious as I remember, albeit with prices a little higher than I remember. They have one of the most diverse taco truck menus I've seen: all the classic meats, specialty meats including lengua, and a seafood section. They offer all kinds of tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. but I like sticking to good old tacos. They come with cilantro, onions, and salsa as well as a side of pickled veggies. - I think my favorite was actually the POLLO; it's simple and well-rounded, finished off nicely with all the classic toppings. - The AL PASTOR definitely had a kick and reached the upper limit of my spiciness tolerability. I love spicy, but this had me reaching for water. - The CARNITAS was more deep-fried than I had expected. I'm not really used to crunchy carnitas so it wasn't love at first bite, but the unique crispiness grew on me, and it didn't too dry because there was ample sauce. For $3 per taco, it makes a great meal or snack, and I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area. Service was also friendly. There's a short wait for the food since everything is made-to-order. Other notes: - I wasn't enthused with the subpar COVID precautions... although there was a sign requesting for masks, several customers were completely unmasked, and nothing was enforced. Staff were wearing masks, but I saw one of them had their mask pulled down. I guess it's reassuring that it's mostly socially distanced, and I feel bad for judging. I just wish people took things a bit more seriously (wearing a mask to order at a taco truck is not difficult!) - The taco truck is located adjacent to a sit-down restaurant. The indoor was closed, but there were some benches outdoors - There's a small parking lot - They don't have any utensils, so be prepared to eat with your hands. It's a little messy with the sauces, so I actually used chopsticks that I found in my car lol

Al pastor, carnitas, carne asada tacos

My housemate was on the hunt for good al pastor tacos, good tacos in general, and we found this place on yelp! We ordered 2 carnitas tacos, 2 al pastor, and 2 carne asada. The carnitas tacos are some of the best you'll have. The carnitas are recooked and warmed on the flattop so they have this nice and crisp layer to it. It is to die for. The meat is nice and tender. The ONLY downside is that when you got to a part of the taco that had no salsa and just meat, there was a lot of chewing involved but that definitely didn't stop me. The al pastor was... interesting. Instead of traditional al pastor, it's like pork that they smothered in a sauce? Like if they cooked pork, made an al pastor sauce and concentrated it and then poured it over the cooked pork. Was it good? Yep. Was it al pastor? Meh. No pineapple either. Carne asada was my LEAST favorite. It was dry and hard to get down in my opinion. Good carne asada is cooked, chopped, then served. That retains some moisture in the beef. I understand that, for speed, the taco trucks will precook it ahead of time and re-warm on the truck but this one, to me, was sooooo dry. Pass. The real kicker however is the value. $2 per taco and they're good sized tacos! What a steal! Let's be real, it's hard to find tacos at that price now a days. All in all, definitely recommend giving this place a try. I want to try their quesadilla and super burrito next!

Tacos Sinaloa is in my strong opinion the best Taco truck in the Bay Area! I love this place, have been here countless number of times, and like to share this spot with good friends! They do everything right when it comes to a great taco, the double serving of tortillas are cooked on the flat top with some oil to just the right crisp. They dress the tacos the right way with green salsa for lengua and cabeza and salsa roja for most other meats options. The range of meat options are tasty and authentic, and they offer my favorite meat that is not common at most trucks. The Suadero is something they translate into "Rose Meat", it is beef brisket cooked to a texture like Carnitas. A Suadero Burrito is my go to Burrito before an A's game, and honestly its so good!! They aren't over the top with guac/sour cream/pico thing. They serve it with rice, not lots of beans, a little "crema" not sour cream, a little cheese, and not too much salsa. There is some spice to the meat, and this Burrito will change your life. Sinaloa is a coastal state in Mexico known for its seafood, so if you come here order Shrimp tostadas, Coctel de Camarones (shrimp), fish tacos...! Everything they do here is good, the lengua (tongue) is very good, and another great meat here is the Cabeza. The meat from the head of the cow offers you stewed cheek meat that is packed with flavor and will melt in your mouth. If you live in Oakland, you should know about this place, it is an Iconic taco truck in the Bay! My favorite spot for tacos and a Jamaica agua fresca. Try it for yourself, and you will fall for it if you like authentic Mexican tacos, amazing seafood and Saudero Burritos!

East Oakland and the Fruitvale District in particular doesn't get any more authentically Mexican than the tacos, burritos, and quesadillas being served from the Tacos Sinaloa food truck. Located along the busy Fruitvale Avenue corridor and catacorner from the Fruitvale Bart Station, Tacos Sinoloa has been satiating the taste buds of locals and people coming in from parts unknown for years thanks to their brightly painted orange exterior and their overall reclamation of an old auto mechanic shop which now serves as their main dining room with their food truck parked in front. Now with the situation we are currently living in this dining room is closed, despite it being basically an old open garage where diners can feast on their soft tacos in the midst of the open atmosphere of the Fruitvale neighborhood. I have been coming to Tacos Sinaloa for years now thanks to its close location to the Interstate 880 off ramp being so close and accessible for those who want to grab a quick bite and get back on the freeway in order to get going. I was in the area running some other errands and considered my options when it came to lunch as I knew there were a lot of pick from and I wasn't kidding myself as I was trying to get from point A to B in where I was going I counted at least five other Mexican-style food trucks which no doubt served the same authentically made Mexican dishes. But I remain loyal to Tacos Sinaloa thanks to the additional locations in Berkeley and I knew they served up some really nicely prepared Tacos and Burritos. Since I was hungry the time I had went this time I decided that a burrito was the only was to go as they served two kinds regular and super. Both burritos feature your choice of meat along with rice, beans, sour cream, cheese and salsa and I believe the only difference is the size, but I wouldn't exactly know the difference because the menu on the side of their truck has the prices for both burritos blacked out so it gives me pause in thinking that they were probably only doing one size burrito at this time. Either way for ten dollars I ordered a steak burrito and for an additional ten I ordered a carnitas burrito for my family back at home so they too could enjoy a nice takeout lunch. They do charge extra for higher-end specialty proteins such as tongue, tripe, and seafood but the fact that steak isn't considered specialty and no additional charge is requested is nice. Although the meal took about ten minutes to prepare the exterior of the burrito was beautifully seared on all sides. There was plenty of filling each burrito but I did notice a lack of sour cream and salsa, which only affected the taste as I tend to split my burritos in half and save the rest for a future meal and when I did so and reheated it, the burrito was fairly dry, which wasn't bad but would have been nice had it been paired with an extra salsa on the side. Instead you get a traditional packet of chopped raw vegetables including carrot and radish slices, two lime wedges and a two grilled chili peppers which were the spiciest things I have had in quite some time. Obviously a return visit is required, as this is the only place I go for my takeout Mexican cuisine. Ordering soft tacos to-go with their size and overall takeout compatibility is the question. That is why I went with the burrito as I think that menu item is more accessible for a takeout order. Also their Quesadilla de Carne, Tortas and Meat Tostadas look really good. And the fact that they even serve Seafood Cocktails, out of their little food truck is intriguing to say the least! I just wish the prices on their menu will be updated soon as all of their prices are blacked out, which is a rather peculiar way to run things especially in these takeout kind of times! Either way Tacos Sinaloa is my go-to place for takeout Mexican food and I wouldn't have it either way!

The chorizo was burnt and I couldn't eat it. The Lengua tasted like boiled mush

Not sure what the hype was about. I've heard from many people in the Bay Area that these were the best tacos in the Bay! I was so juiced to finally try them! The location was a little sketch but hey, I will risk my life for some good tacos! Tacos 5/10 - I had the carne asada, chorizo, lengua, carnitas & fish tacos. Trash. The flavor wasn't there. The protein existed, and so did the pico, cilantro & onions. But what's food without flavor?! I needed to taste the love and effort put into it. I asked if the fish tacos were battered and deep fried, but I for cut up fish, I was confused. The chorizo was hella burnt I could not eat it. Lengua tasted like boiled human parts. I don't think I can do lengua anymore this experience ruined it for me. The Horchata 8/10 - Creamy, light and refreshing. What more can you ask for.

*** CASH ONLY *** As long as they've been open and poppin' they need to upgrade to card! I hate always having to hit the bank before coming to get tacos, such an inconvenience as I rarely carry cash‍ The best tacos in the Bay Area! (I also just found a new spot in the Oakland area that come in 2nd place, and are a little cheaper, looks like you have some competition Sinaloa!!) Anyways, these are my childhood! I remember coming here as a child with my parents & brother. My dad would always make me take out the second tortilla from my tacos and go to feed the birds. It was my favorite thing to do. One of the very few memories I have with him. I've had alot of different food from here. My top favorite are Chicken or Asada Tacos, Asada Torta & Shrimp Ceviche!! Chicken is shredded & sooo juicy!! Asada are cut nice and small (not big chunks) & seasoned to perfection! Not salty at all. Now that Shrimp Ceviche!! That shit is on hit! With Tapatio omg, my mouth just did that thing where your taste buds get the best of you and pinch the back of your jaw lmao! No joke. You will not be dissatisfied coming here! Food is amazing, pricey! You get what you pay for tho. My only negative is all the homeless in the area and they sit on the edge of the truck sometimes just begging for $$$, then the prostitution.... sucks. Part of the reason, I went looking for another taco spot, (which I found ) Corner of High St & E 14th! Go you will not be disappointed!!!! Tacos Sinaloa will always hold a special place in my heart though! I will never stop coming here.

Carne asada and chicken tacos, and their ginormously long burrito!
Jannie T.

Amazing tacos! I use to live in SoCal and always thought the bay area and socal has very different styles and taste to their Mexican food, and that's completely fine, but these tacos blew it out of the park! Area is definitely not so great, but perhaps that aides in the flavor and hype about this truck. The bf ordered their super carnitos burrito and was huge, def shareable if you feel like sharing (Please see pic below lol). If you're hungry and feel like you havent eaten in days, I reccomend ordering their super burrito for quantity. Quality wise for a burrito, i would probably go the Mission, SF. But back to the tacos, I ordered a chicken taco and carne asada taco. Both were delicious, but if I had to pick one, I definitely would go with their carne asada tacos! Don't miss out on them!

First time being in downtown Oakland. Stopped at this taco truck. Ordered some veggie super burritos, chicken burritos, tacos and quesadilla. The price is definitely good for the amount of food you get and as long as the food is good, I will always support local businesses.

Best tacos ever!!!…read more I have had a lot of tacos in my life, this is the best. I can't stop dreaming about this place since I had it and I can't wait to go back. Card accepted at this location. Small parking lot. Outdoor patio seating. Quick service.

But since then and nowadays they have tougher competition that I prefer to go to over them and recently started to develop a hate and love relationship here. It used to be my die hard go to taco truck. This truck for me makes delicious carnitas burritos and pollo tacos. And a sleeper is the al pastor burrito and suadero tacos. That al pastor isn't made from the trompo but the seasoning and juiciness of their version in the burrito is what makes it one of the best burrito options on there if you haven't tried it. Carnitas burritos is super delicious because you get that nice crispiness of the fried tender pork with the rice, cheese and sour cream. I like to ask for onions, cilantro and tomato in mines for variety and freshness to cut the heaviness of the fats and dairy. Tacos I normally would get or recommend is the Carnitas, Pollo, Cabeza, Suadero, and Asada. Carnitas are as delicious as explained with the burrito. Pollo or known as chicken tacos are super tender and juicy. It's also very flavorful, and one of my favorite chicken tacos to get here because most places don't make chicken very well and are usually very dry. The cabeza is super tender and a great option. Suadero just like the asada is just a better version of the asada cut. It's packed with more flavor and seasoning than the asada and slightly more tender which is why I prefer it to the regular steak. I tend to find the asada more dry and sometimes tough. Recently the pricing doesn't reflect on the fairness of the portion size. $4 tacos but the meats aren't as packed. Felt like they started to skimp because of rising costs but has been happening before then. $15 burrito but the sizing isn't as filling as it used to be. I started to see more rice than meat. They've also started to be very stingy with a huge attitude especially the gentleman that works on the pick up station when asking for extra pickled veggies, limes and salsa. And it happens every time for the past several years now. For example he gave me 2 limes, 4 pieces of sliced pickled carrots, 2 slices of pickled jalapenos, 3 radishes, and 1 rojo salsa for an order of a super burrito and 7 tacos. When I asked for extras the gentleman gave me an attitude and said he already did and won't give more. Only reason I still go here is because it's close to home and if my favorite spots for tacos are closed for the night.

This is a local business that I stumbled upon one night when I was highly craving tacos. I love how they still have seating despite the weather, rain or shine. If you're pulling up to this place, you're in luck -- because they have the best taco meats in all of Oakland. Whether you go for al pastor, carne asada, carnitas, or lengua-- they are all generously seasoned and rich, with that juicy, well-browned texture that makes each bite memorable. From what I've heard, Oakland locals often praise the quality and depth of the meats, and you can tell they're working with ingredients that stand up to the hype. The corn tortillas hold up beautifully too, as they were charred, warm at the edges. It's laid-back street food at its best--tacos that hit hard on flavor and make you want to come back for another round. Honestly, I would be coming here to enjoy with minimal fuss, cash in hand, and a big appetite.

They have two trucks, but this one had more people at it, so decided to order from this one. All the meats were on the sweeter side, but much preferred the carnitas over the pastor. I usually order a super burrito , and what I didn't realize was that a super burrito here means a larger burrito. At first I was like , why is it $20 - then when I got it, it was so massive that it could feed a small family or for me it was multiple meals. The burrito itself was tasty, I thought the carne was good, again a little sweet tasting, but the rice beans and sour cream made the burrito simple yet good. I ate half for one meal, then saved the other for later. Overall, it's one of those spots that I'm glad I tried it, and if I was in the area, I'd try it again.
