One single hair was underneath the other empanada that was moved to a plate.

Visited their food truck at the Vallejo Farmers Market on Georgia St. As with most food trucks, the food was a bit overpriced (one empanada $7). Will probably not go back, when I got home to eat, the empanada container had a hair in it. Looked up their last food inspection report from Contra Costa County, it was listed that they had a minor violation regarding hand washing, glove wearing, and/or minimizing bare hand handling of food.

Encountered them at the Civic Center Friday market. Was kinda strange they were selling Middle Eastern and Filipino food together. Not in any sort of fusion dish, just an either/or. I opted for the Filipino and was satisfied, hence the A-OK 3-star. Nothing innovative or fancy, simply a good way to filled up outdoors. Lumpia: Very long and very thin. This must be what Lumpia Shanghai looks like before they typically cut into thumb-size pieces. It was fine for a crispy taste of lumpia without having to commit to a whole appetizer. Pancit: Thin noodles soaked with tons of flavor. Also, loaded with meat (chicken?). Way better than the bland pancit you'd get at a mall stand. Adobo: Nothing fancy, just kinda like home cooking. The chicken was tender, the vinegar accent tangy and just enough soy for a salty finish. Got a drumstick and a thigh, so not a bad portion for a street stand.

We tried the chicken shawarma and a lamb shawarma at the San Francisco Farmers market. I thought the lamb was really tasty, very moist, with good flavor. The only thing I would want is for it to be more spicy. The chicken one tasted good also though not moist enough for my boyfriend. I would definitely go back and try more!

I found this place at the Todos Santos farmers market on a Tuesday. I bought the buko pandas pandesal.. oh wow this was really really good. You can taste the pandan from the pastry part and inside is like a bit of creamy pandan. It's now seriously one of my favorite things. I also tried the red bean which is also good but not as good as the pandan pandesal. I'm giving them 5 stars because the buko pandan pandesal was that good.

This has great chicken adobo. Great portions chicken with good adobo flavor. They usually at the Uptown Farmers Market on Wednesday at noon.

Food is pretty good but it can be hit or miss. Friendly owners. * I've had chicken soup a few times 4/5 * Pastrami Sandwich. - First time: 5/5. Delicious. Super fresh bread, small things slices of homemade pastrami - Second time: 2/5 dry bread, tough thick pastrami. * Baked goods 4/5

Combination silog breakfast. Tapa, chicken longanisa and corned beef.

My first time here. I was informed by the friendly lady that works the counter, that her sister and her set up shop here, after looking for a place with a commercial kitchen. Her sister is a graduate of a culinary school, too. One downfall is the service. Very slow and they hide in the kitchen. Their baked goods are made in house. I had a combination breakfast. Tapa, chicken longanisa, and corned beef. I thought the corned beef was a tad salty, but the tapa was well seasoned. The chicken longanisa was good, but I have to get used to the lean consistency, as opposed to a traditional pork longanisa. It's not my cup of tea. I did not try their chicken adobo, which they have everyday. They don't use pork, as I was told. Read between the lines. It's against their religion. Anyway I'm glad for the Filipino cuisine in a sea of taquerias, but I don't like the slight street element. Well, it's on International Blvd. It can't be helped.

I had my weekly rice craving while at work and luckily it was a Wednesday and the Uptown farmers market aka hump day market was going on. The adobo and rice satisfied my craving, they give you two legs, two thighs and a nice serving of rice with some sauce on top. I've never been a fan of the large peppercorns that traditional adobo has and this one doesn't have the large peppercorns.

They're opening a halal kitchen next door, and we got to try everything on the menu. They have burgers, shawarma, and wings, and everything is made in-house and fully halal. We tried all of it, and the flavors were truly outstanding. I really enjoyed everything we had. The wings were super flavorful and lowkey reminded me of San Tung in SF. The burger was a standout. Juicy, well-seasoned, and just really hit. I'd genuinely come back just for the burger alone. The shawarma was also really good, fresh, and full of flavor. Overall, everything we tried was solid, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the food. This is shaping up to be a great halal food spot in Oakland, and I'll definitely be back.

When I came in, I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do, and the server said I could sit anywhere, though when I was ready to order, they made me come to the register. I would've ordered to go to the register first to place my order and then sit down. I ordered the Lamb Kabob, which came with a side salad, hummus, tzatziki, and rice. The rice was kind of mushy and a little spicy. It didn't really taste fresh. There was also way too much of it. They could go down to 75% of that volume. The side salad, which consisted of tomatoes and cucumbers, was fine. The tzatziki was pretty good and creamy. The lamb was dry and tough to chew, so I used the tzatziki, which helped slightly. The real surprise was the hummus. It was SO good! It was creamy and flavorful. I would eat more hummus if store-bought hummus tasted like this. I couldn't finish all of the food, so I took home leftovers in my own Tupperware. I wasn't looking forward to eating them again, but the leftovers were better than I expected. All in all, while I'm glad this place uses a lot of reusable foodware (see Eco Notes below), the food wasn't tasty enough to keep me coming back (aside from the amazing hummus). I hope that I happened to get their worst dish or they had an off day. ECO NOTES (Dine-In) Dine-In Dishware: Reusable plate Napkins: Single-use disposable paper napkin Utensils: Metal fork, spoon, and knife Water cups: Pint glass

Not even close to any of the photos shown here on Yelp and I decided not to add the current ambiance during lunch coz maybe better during dinner service . The Glass case was empty and this is not a negative review but we have to be honest and share our experience. We will still visit again because the food is on point and fresh and delicious. You just need to clean the area and especially the restrooms. . Here is our story. Walked in for lunch and hesitated as it was shockingly not the same and is like walking in to another time zone in a bad way ! We were asked to order at the counter after sitting for more than 10 minutes and they said to order from a minimal selection and we did and got 2 beef shawarma's. The food looked good and the guys that helped us was very nice and we were glad we stayed but the ambiance like third world and is nowhere what we remembered and what the photos is showing on Yelp. Maybe because We went in for lunch ? Is why the place was outdated. Is it different at dinner time ? There were plastic table covers that were slipping on all the tables and the guy was mopping the floor with a cup of concentrated chemical that hurts your nose and what smells like fabuloso cleaning solution as it was blue and he was pouring this all over the floor while stepping on a rag smearing it and then yes ! He proceeded to Spraying the windows etc. and all this with us and another couple waiting for our lunch orders just past 12 noon. We nearly walked out there but we know the food is delicious so we hunkered down waited. While waiting we washed our hands and surprisingly The bathroom is in need if attention with water leaking and the smell of the urinal is unbearable. The flooring will make you go back to your vehicle. LOL. Overall we liked the food but please clean the place before you open and visit the restrooms to see what needs attention. Food is on point that day but have to give 2 stars for now due to place needs work and restrooms are terrible and wonder what the kitchen looks like but will edit the review on the next visit if we drop by again.

My first thought was figuring out when I was coming back to try it out. Well, it happened! I'm glad I did. From the start, the service was great. I was seated quickly, even though I was solo. I felt a little guilty taking up a table in this busy restaurant, but they were very accommodating. Quickly, I asked for a menu along with recommendations. Even though those recommendations sounded amazing, I already had my mind made up from reading the menu the day I discovered the place. I got the Branzino, and yum, it was!!!! As good as it was, the tables next to me and in front of me had the specialty plate. Heck, I almost ordered one to bring home, but I calmed that urge by taking full bites of my fish and creamy mashed potatoes. I love me some Branzino, and they did a good job. I couldn't leave without getting some dessert, so I chose the Azerbaijani Baklava and the Pistachio Baklava with goat's milk vanilla creamy ice cream--this was definitely the way to finish off a lovely dinner. Did I say the service was great? Yes, the service was on point! Good staff, super friendly! The ambiance was moderately perfect for a Piedmont Ave spot. Bottom line--this spot is a Mediterranean restaurant offering a fusion of Turkish, Iranian, and Armenian cuisines. I heard the gyros are really good--next, I'll try those. Currently on DoorDash the curly fries are $5.50 as an add on if you order their bowls. If you order the fries as a side they always charged a dollar extra over the years. Annoying but your prerogative. Currently, for weeks, a side of fries are double the price. The curly fries are $12.94. I've worked in a restaurant and managed the DoorDash kiosk.
