First time here and ordered "Wey" too much. But I like trying little bit of everything. From left to right Chips and salsa - good tasting salsa and chips were thick but light, almost hollow. Fish taco- probably best thing today. The fish was lightly bettered, like tempura. Hot center. Wey style street taco el pastor- tons of meat and hint of sweetness from the pineapple. Only issue gone in about 3 bites.. lol. Beef tostada- these folks blew my mind and not sure why other restaurants don't do it, but they melt a layer of cheers in boiler over the shell then top with meat and dressings. This way the shell stays hard the whole meal. To top it off, a Mexican Coke.... I'll be wired the rest of the day. Over all great experience and I'll be back. Also the Verda salsa in the bottle... yum

This is my 5th time coming here and it's just as delicious as the first time I came. Their birria is so juicy and flavorful. This spot is definitely in my top 3 of where to get Birria in St. Louis. The birria fries are soooo delicious as well, I highly recommend giving that a try if it's your first time here! The service from the counter was very friendly and it didn't take long at all to receive our food. Theres usually always some good music playing too at a decent volume, it might be a little much for those who gets easily overwhelmed but overall doesn't detract from the overall dining experience!

Excellent street tacos at Tacos Wey! I ordered the Quesabirria tacos and my boyfriend ordered the Tacos Al Pastor. We shared the dishes plus a side of refried beans. Light cilantro came through on the Quesabirria and refreshing pineapple was tasty in the Tacos Al Pastor. Birria meat was nice and hot plus well spiced. Try the hot salsa too! Ambiance is colorful and I liked the Mexican recorded music. Service was prompt and we were eating in less than 10 minutes after ordering our dinner. I suggest you try Tacos Wey in Affton Missouri near 9 Mile Food Truck Village.

Wanted breakfast and heard they started breakfast Friday through Sunday. We tried the chorizo breakfast burrito and the 2 tacos with one bacon and the other birria. It's not a large dining area but set up nicely. The person at the counter was very nice. Brought our food to us and the food was delicious and super filling

Get your taco fix here! They always have a nice agua fresca and they even started opening for breakfast so I can get a cafecito too. Tacos are piled high and folks were rolling in every few minutes to pick up to go orders all through dinner. We choose to dine in. Another thing, you might not realize it, but both people in our party remarked on how delicious the refried beans are and it's typically not a thing I pay attention to at Mexican restaurants. They had a new star fruit strawberry agua fresca that we loved. And while you're there, you can get your locally made paleta (Popsicle) fix too. It was nice that they had a taco Tuesday special too

We showed up about 10 minutes from closing time and I felt bad because I know what it feels like to work in the service industry and have people roll up right before closing, but they welcomed me in and the service was amazing. It is difficult to find authentic little taco shops in St. Louis that are up to my liking, but Tacos Wey was awesome. We ordered tacos al pastor, esquite, watermelon aqua fresco and chicharonnes. We will definitely be going back!

What a cool little taco spot in Affton! We've driven past this place many times, on the corner of Weber, but we finally went in for lunch on a Saturday right when they opened. We were greeted by a friendly employee who explained to us the menu and all of what is popular. We ordered Street Wey tacos (El pastor), Quesabirria tacos, Gringo way tacos (grilled chicken), chips and guac and bottle water. All cost $33 total, a pretty good deal. Inside seating has plenty of spots if you're not taking it to go. The inside decor is themed with Hispanic music playing. The one thing we loved about this place was how clean it was. There was not a spot of dirt anywhere. Their attention to detail was awesome. Everything is made fresh, but it look less than 10 minutes for us to get our food. The food is super fresh, and very good. The tacos are very flavorful. My favorite was probably the Gringo way taco (grilled chicken) that was piled high with tons of toppings. The chips and guac was super fresh, and we also had some of the mild sauce. We will be back for sure. The service, the space was clean, and the food was very tasty. What a little cool spot in South County, check it out if you can.

If you haven't heard of this place definitely look it up and make a trip! The Birria tacos are amazing!! The cheese dip is heaven and I love that chips are not salty! It's a small dining area with a few outside seats! The employees are very nice and helpful! Will definitely go back again soon!!

I've been meaning to try this place for so long, because I heard good things about the birria. And they were right! It was amazing! I stopped in right before they closed and I was lucky they still had it because the menu says "limited availability" or something along the lines of "while supplies last". The consommé is so savory and the tacos are still slightly crispy. I have been to some other places where they just get so soggy and fall apart (but still taste good)... it's a mess to eat. These held their shape and stayed put together. Definitely recommend! I will be going back for more (while they still are fairly messy as birria is in general). The place is pretty small though. There are some tables inside. But definitely not for big groups.

I have frequented this restaurant ever since they opened. The whole family loves this place, but I like to sneak off and do lunch here by myself. The Birria tacos hit the spot every time! My kids love the Dorito nachos. They have fresh juice/Frescas and bottled beverages. It's a very small establishment, like 7 tables. You order at the counter and they call out your number. Every employee has been very friendly and helpful.

Love love loveddddd the food and the service here! Tacos Wey is a cozy little spot off gravois, serving authentic Mexican food. The menu is jampacked with a number of dishes to try and there is even some paletas to cleanse your palate in between items! The burritos are MASSIVE and the birria tacos are some of the absolute best. I loved the quesoooooooo with steak... every item so full of flavor and the service is so amazing. Authentic food cooked within a reasonable time and hot and ready to eat when I got home. It is a bit on the pricey end but cost of ingredients and just life... I am happy to pay for great food and service.

The classic marg and watermelon mint marg were both much better choices. The fajita filet was amazing, melted like butter in your mouth and the bone marrow was a great bonus. The wagyu flank came out overcooked the first time and was a bit tough. We sent it back and the second one was much better. The fries with it were average, better once soaked in the steak juice. Service was very polite and they comped one of our cocktails for the overcooked flank steak. But they only refilled our water glasses once and disappeared after that. The restaurant is very nice with multiple seating options, in the dining room, high tops, at the bar, and they have a great closed in patio that have garage style doors that can open in nice weather. The outdoor green space looked really nice as well. It is in the pricey side, which aligns with their Twisted restaurants. But the steak quality was at least great.

I've been meaning to eat southwestern-themed breakfast food since I saw the legendary "chorizo and…read moreeggs" scene from the movie Midnight Run. The opportunity finally presented itself when a member of my old man's bicycle group suggested this place for a Friday afternoon lunch. I was more than happy to step away from my responsibilities for an hour or two, and the only thing that would have made it better is if I'd been able to disappoint a group of people standing in line, like at the DMV. I'd been as far south on McCausland as a shopping center near the intersection with Manchester, for a drug test for a job, which I'll have you know I passed with flying colors. Consulting Google Maps on the way to the restaurant, I was surprised to see that it's on (er, kinda on) Southwest Avenue. Does it serve diner fare with a southwestern flair due to its address, or is that a mere matter of coincidence? According to a guy I know, who knows several people who work there (don't be jealous), it's the latter. Certainly, you wouldn't put a restaurant here for the ambience. This looks like the kind of place where you'd ditch a stolen car after using the backseat for a fried chicken dinner that somehow involved ketchup (why?) and an assignation with a lady of the evening. If you live nearby, I guess it's not off the beaten path, but who lives here? The menu is a veritable plethora of riches. You could have breakfast food, or you could have lunch food, even if you couldn't bring yourself to roll out of bed until after 10:30 AM. It's downright anxiety inducing! I toyed with the idea of a torta or a burger, and I also saw that they had milkshakes. I ended up going with breakfast food, because I love breakfast food and I don't get it as often. Specifically, I went with something called the Rocket to Bacon Land. It's a bacon and goat cheese omelet with arugula and caramelized onions, served with home fries and your choice of bread. I could have gone with various kinds of toast or a sopapilla. I went with a biscuit. It was amazing! It looked like something your mom would make with Bisquick when she's feeling especially lazy, but it tasted great. It may have been better than the biscuits at Popeyes--which is pretty much the highest compliment you can pay a food item. The omelet was also pretty good. I appreciated the generous helping of eggs, which must have run them, thanks to a certain individual who shall not be named. It was definitely an egg-forward preparation. The arugula didn't seem to add much, as I suspected, and I don't know that the bacon or onions were present in sufficient quantities as to be truly dominant. The goat cheese was definitely a choice. It was warm and soft (ahem), but not melty the way you'd expect cheese in an omelet to be. I liked it, but I don't know if I liked it as much as a regular ol' Denver omelet. I'm a close-minded individual. I buy vanilla ice cream for the taste. Would I feel the same way, to varying degrees, about everything else on the menu? There's only one way to find out.
