I have eaten here many times since first recommended to it by yelp.com The place is great. It feels authentic and has the food to back it up. The tacos, which I eat every time I go, are very tasty. I would recommend the carnetas and the pollo. Though the pollo taste like it has been marinated in gods tummy so those probably edge out the carnetas. The tacos are large. Too large for the only $1.50 you will spend on each, I get 2 tacos and a coke, imported from Mexico of course, and dont need to spend more then $5. Gotta love salsa bars! Had the shredded beef torta, it was perfect amounts of meat and fixings, no mayo and plenty of guacamole. Reasonable pricing, but dine in is hot in the evenings when sun is shining through the windows. All around great salsa bar place. But nothing that separates it from the others. read more

This used to be my favorite taco joint in denver. Not just because they weren't across town but because they did pretty much everything better than their other two locations. The last few times we ate there, the seasoning on the meats was't the same. The al pastor is under seasoned, has none of the pineapple flavor that it used to and there's no crunch from getting grilled on the flat top, the carnitas were mushy and again low in flavor and the chorizo tasted suspiciously like Cacique brand or some other out of the package meat and also lacked any crunch from the griddle. The amount of meat on each taco is still very abundant and the salsa bar is still hit or miss with mostly hits and the tortillas are still being made to order but what happened to the original flavor? I'll have to go back to one of the other two locations and see if it's just this one store. For now they fall way down on my list of favorites. read more

Finally went here after several years of living in the area due to local recommendations- it was good. Good tacos, I've gotten most meat varieties after several visits. The only flaws are- overly meated taco, yes there is such a thing, so much damn meat that I sometimes have to scrape some off. The meat is good in flavor and texture (most of the time) but it is so damn juicy. Like dripping non stop juicy- most likely coming served from warmers- which could easily be avoided throwing it onto the grill for a second to cook some of the juices off but still have flavor. Otherwise if you're looking for cheap good flavor tacos at a decent price I'd recommend this place, my wife gets the pork torts and loves them. I usually stick with the pork or ground beef tacos, they've got some real tasty ground beef. All the salsas are extra spicy- to my liking but I could see others including my wife not being able to find a flavor to enjoy. In my opinion they're damn good. read more

Decided to try this place out since we were in the area. I really love tacos and heard about this place with the yelp app finder. We walked in and it pretty clean, no complaints. The server was polite and was patient while my girlfriend and I looked over the menu. I order the carne asada taco, chicken taco and the carnitas taco. Once my order came out, I was amazed! Each taco was stuffed with the ordered meat and I was happy as a kid in a candy store! These are street style tacos, and I loved the way each one tasted. They have a salsa bar near the counter where you can choose from a variety of kinds depending on taste and spicy level. There was also lettuce and limes to choose from. Perhaps going at an off hour is a bad idea? With all of the great reviews this place has I probably need to return to give them a second chance. First visit and it blew us away. Lots of meat and then doctor it all up exactly how you like it at the salsa bar. The $1.70 tacos are loaded down with meat. Beats the crap out of Taco Bell for almost the same price. We tried the pollo tacos and carnitas tacos and pollo quesadilla ($4.60 with refried beans, guacamole, and sour cream) . Have been hearing good things about the salsa bar at this place for a while, so I decided to try it. I was amazed at the freshness of the ingredients, the pico de gallo was spectacular! However, the carnitas weren't that flavorful. The al pastor, on the other hand, was out of this world. I will definitely go back again to try the other offerings.
