Prime Rib Dip
Elaine B.

Our server, Cole, was extremely good. The mojito was expensive but very good. I have read the reviews that said the food was good, but the service wasn't so great. My experience was the opposite. The service was excellent by Cole. The steak frites... The fries were good, but the his steak was not so good. I would give it a four out of 10. For 30 bucks. It should've been excellent. My grandson had a burger and he said it was cool, but we had to send the bacon back to have it actually cooked. Everybody else in my party of eight said their food was pretty mediocre. I would say that we all expected a lot more from Taffer. And I mean a lot more.

Was in Orlando on business and was pleased to see Taffer's Tavern across the street. I have seen his show on TV many times, so I surmised that this would be excellent. Inside, the decor is very welcoming and warming. I sat at the bar in some very comfy bar seats. Chatted with the bartender a bit about the signature drinks and decided on the Campfire. This was a take on the popular smoked old fashioned. Instead of the smoke in the drink, it's served beside the drink, hence giving one a sense of sitting by a campfire. The drink was made with brown butter washed bourbon which gave the drink a nice velvety texture. I ordered the double fried wings with traditional hot sauce. It's nice that they come with celery and carrots with the choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing. I was disappointed in the wings because they were far from double fried. They should have been extra, extra crispy and they were just average. Went back the next night and had the Pork Belly Skewers and they were excellent. They had a spicy bulgogi glaze and were cooked perfectly. All in all, a good place. I will go back on my next trip to Orlando.

Figtastic Flatbread

Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by the hostess and seated immediately. The restaurant has a really nice ambience and I really enjoyed their selection of music that was playing at the time. We ordered the figtastic flatbread as an appetizer and then had the steak frites, subbed the fries for coleslaw, and the bourbon burger as our entrees. I really enjoyed the figtastic flatbread because the flavors were savory and sweet and everything on there paired really well together. The steak frites and bourbon burger were really nothing too special in my opinion. The burger tasted pretty normal despite having the browned butter bourbon signature sauce and the steak frites is exactly what you would expect it to be. The only real downside was the service. Although we were seated immediately, it took us a while to get waters and the menu. Our server was kind of inattentive and was not too present during our time there. We didn't even have silverware whenever our food came out and couldn't find our server to flag him down, so we had to flag someone else down. Same with when our water needed to be refilled.

I've been meaning to try this spot since it opened because well Mr.Taffers joint and the drink variety here. The s'mores cocktail was great, the sliders and wings were flavorful, and the coleslaw was a nice surprise without being overly heavy on the mayonnaise dressing. The server was awesome, and I loved the ambience and exposed brick throughout the location. Looking forward to coming back and trying more drinks and bites!

Stopped in for a quick bite and had a nice time. Our server was super personable and chatted with us throughout our meal. It was still pretty early when we went but overall the vibe was nice and well put together. Definitely recommend the Boca morada if you like mezcal!

What a great place. Excellent service from Melissa, I am not a huge fan of pretzels, but this one is incredible. Fresh, huge, simple and would get again. Burgers are medium unless you order otherwise, the bourbon burger, prime rib dip was fantastic. The fig burger was good, though has too much going on and would order a different burger next time. Overall the ambience, food quality and service is among the best I have experienced in Orlando.

Good bar food and great drinks! We already had dinner but tried their deviled eggs. Our server/bartender Eddy was attentive and made our drinks in a timely manner. They have a full bar if nothing on the drink menu catches your eye but definitely try Cloud 9 Lost at Sea or their old fashioned.

Nice place. It was quiet when we came but it looks clean and casual. The menu looks promising. Service is good so far!

Whatever you do, don't sleep on this place. All of the burgers are absolutely phenomenal. They have all of the whiskey you can think of the service was top-tier and such a amazing ambience.

Service was excellent, as I expected to be. Everyone was very happy and friendly. I will say pricing was a little high but that's also expected because it's pointe Orlando. Food options were basic but nothing too crazy.

Pina collada dessert. Yum!

The restaurant was very clean and the staff was professional. I was surprised how few people were there on a Friday night. Our drinks were lovely but the poor bartenders had to use so many steps to complete one drink. My fav drink was the French pot berry press.

Taffer's is a great new addition to the Pointe Orlando! I would highly recommend getting the Bubbles Squared and the Big Fig Burger. Cheryl is the best bartender so make sure you ask for her when you go in! She so sweet and makes a great drink

My husband and I have wanted to eat at a restaurant either owned or redesigned by Jon Taffer for many years, and we finally got our wish! This place opened about a week before we arrived for a weekend in Florida. We are beyond thankful! The drinks were perfect, the food was phenomenal, and the staff was helpful and very kind. Taffer's Tavern has an upscale bar feel, but isn't overly fancy...just perfection overall! We can't wait to come back!

Let's focus on the positives first: the atmosphere is incredibly fun and the live music Saturday night was a perfect touch at the bar. There were plenty of fun activities for the kids and there was an all-you-can-eat buffet for the kids with fried chicken and shrimp, macaroni and cheese, fries, and red velvet cupcakes. $25 is a deal if your child would chow down on shrimp, but it might not be a great deal if your child is usually full after four bites. Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. This is a fun spot for a drink and appetizer, but I would skip eating dinner at Highball & Harvest.

There are three different choices for seating. A hightop near the bar, regular tables at the bar, sitting at the bar, or sitting at a regular umbrella table by the pool. I guess that makes four options. I chose a high top. The menus are already on the tables and I was quickly seated and greeted by my waitress who asked what I wanted to drink and I ordered a club soda with lime. Yeah variety of good options for appetizers and meals ranging from a hummus salad to burgers to tacos and three kinds of fries including regular potato fries, sweet potato fries, and yucca fries. I opted for the shrimp tacos with a side of sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were nice and crispy and quite yummy. The tacos were not great but not awful and came with a green sauce that was pretty tasty. The tacos are included in the order so it made for a decent sized meal. I was surprised when I received the check to find out that they had charged me six dollars for my club soda. Every restaurant I have ever been to has never charge me for a club soda. So they not only charged me for it but charged me twice because I got a refill. When I pointed this out to the waitress she said it is categorized as a soda but after some discussion she removed one of the charges. So I still had to pay three dollars for a club soda. If you're in the hotel and looking for some quick bite that are a decent meal or hanging out by the pool this is a worthwhile option.
