Why in the world have I been going to these other stylist who need me to do part of their job (shampoo and blow dry, go buy the hair), yet pay them like they've done all the work; sorry, I digressed!!!!!.....Anyway, Jaydin was friendly and professional, and she did not hurt my head because I'm very tender headed. 33 Fingers is going to get sick of seeing me because I'm a customer for life now; totally sold on 33 Fingers. I got so many compliments on my braids; even YT men, strangers in the airport paid me compliments. I'm sooo glad I was able to secure an appointment and be blessed by the talents of this saloon. A simple rod set was my request and though she didn't have the traditional rods the long cushion rollers worked just as good and this chic was very fast, I swear she rolled my hair in 20 minutes or less...quite impressive as I have experienced much longer roll time for this particular style. I expect very few things when dealing with salons especially if I am a first time client........ things that I consider no brainer's and they are....some line of questioning about my hair(history, etc.), a general idea that healthy hair is your priority, thorough shampooing of my hair, and the benefit of being able to explain how I like my hair.......simple. I realize that all stylist are clearly not created equal but some things in my opinion are just the standard. I was satisfied with the result of my hair but it may take a bit more for a second visit.

I did notice I didn't really smell shampoo when she was washing my hair and it was a really quick wash. After she washed my hair I noticed my scalp and also around the side of my face it was itchy but I didn't pay any mind because it eventually stopped. My hair lasted about a week and then I washed my hair. when washing my hair I noticed it had a perm smell and my curls were not as defined. I am not sure if Emory mixed a perm solution into my shampoo which would now makes sense why my scalp was itchy. I am now on my second wash and still smell that perm smell when my hair is wet and my curls still aren't defined as they last were . I really want to think she didn't put a perm in my hair but something isn't right and unfortunately I won't be back because of that. I love my curls !

I got excited immediately for her as she is a great stylist and I know it's awesome to have your own space and get that one on one with your clients. I appreciate that one on one . I started doing my research per stylist and tried to get an appointment for the ones I pulled up that I liked and they were all booked for months out. I was almost defeated until I saw the newbie on their site who had books wide open. I was super skeptical thinking if she is so available maybe she isn't good. I decided to take a leap of faith and check her out two weeks before my wedding for a trial style and I let her know my thoughts during my consultation which is required by the way. When I say Kandice ROCKED my hair I mean it. She is amazing and very sweet. The salon is clean, the staff all work together & seem to adore one another. If they don't I'm glad they know how to keep it professional. I ended up back here on my Bday which was 4 days before my 10 year wedding renewal and my stylist knew it was my bday. When I headed up front to pay I looked down into my wallet and by the time I looked up all the stylist were surrounding me singing a Lucky Salon original Bday song. I got 1/2 of it out by myself with some help from my mom. Yama and her staff at Bex helped me finish and were reasonable with the cost. I watched several customers come and go and all were pleased. The employees here were quick and kind. Until I got desperate and looked for local braiding salons, I had not heard of this one although Yama says they have been around for 11 years.
