Middle Eastern street food shop Tahini has opened up a second shop in Mission Valley serving fresh fare in a well lit space with a multitude of colorful lamps adorned across its ceiling. SERVICE Patrons order on a screen or in person at the counter. Staff calls out patron names for pickup at the counter. MUNCHIES / APPETIZERS 5/5 SAMBUSA (3 piece, beef): Crunch and savory egg roll wrap, stuffed with shawarma beef. Garlic sauce pairs very well with this.

I walked over here to have lunch after picking up my coffee from Finjan next door. It's clean inside and they had some nice lamps hanging down from the ceiling, giving it that middle eastern touch. The man at the front was very welcoming, helped us with our order and even gave us some extra sauces for our food. The food was really good. As a middle eastern myself, I'm very picky with falafel and these were some of the best I've had.

While driving down to San Diego to attend the HFA convention, we stopped by Tahini Street Food to get a bite to eat. When we walked in, we saw all the tray of bread baked. The place is nice and clean inside. Great vind

So ordering is via a screen as you walk in. It was easiest enough but I prefer a person. There is also only 1 screen. I ordered rice bowl with beef, feta, pepercini, and pickled cucumber. It was really good and flavorful. I loved the rice. I also got the cheese sticks and they were amazing. So nutty. I also got these beef filled eggroll type things. I don't remember the name, but they're not listed on the online menu. They were really good and crispy and the meat was very flavorful. The location has lots of indoor and outdoor seating There's also a coffee shop attached with amazing Turkish coffee Parking is off Street and plentiful Had almost no interaction with the staff due to the computer ordering and getting it to go Very peacefully decorated, and the food was good. Definitely a good location for large groups.

IG: rs.Albright TikTok: m.Albright This food was amazing!! It was light and airy. I didn't feel bad after eating it and it was really flavorful. I enjoyed how you can customize it to your liking. The customer service was great as well! They were so helpful when I was asking questions. I would definitely come back! Also their drink options are nice. The strawberry lemonade was sooo good!

Freshest food! Love how big and fresh those bowls were! Literally looked like the veggies were just picked! Very shareable and perfect amounts and pricing.

Came here after getting coffee from Finjan, and at first I didn't noticed this was right next door. Glad I went to check it out. I got the rice bowl with chicken... the shawarma rice bowl was so damn good! Very flavorful with the sauces and toppings I picked out too. The man taking my order said I could even add any amount of sauces so I did a couple of mixes. Though I wished afterwards that I got extra of the sauces because they were just so good! What's good about this spot is the amount of seating available and because it's shared vicinity to Food4Less there's a lot of parking too. The lamp decors are beautiful and service was good. I probably waited just 5 minutes after ordering since it wasn't busy. Also it was pretty simple to build your order.

Delicious fresh food. I loved my falafel pita sandwhich. Great decor for the vibes and plenty of seating for both the restuarant and the cafe that they share the space with. Workers were friendly and helpful.

I am so happy to say this place has been very consistent. All of their food is really good. We always go for the bowls but next time I will try the actual Shawarma. You can get a rice bowl or salad bowl and add chicken and steak and all the toppings. Definitely get the falafel and fries as a side as they're both very well made They're very generous with their sauces you can order different flavors to try. I love the cilantro tahini.

Tahini always offers a great meal. Since they opened in Clairemont, they have been offering consistent quality food with great service. This new location in Mission Valley was no different. For lunch, I had the chicken shawarma served in Tahini's house made pit bread and an order of three falafels. The chicken shawarma was well seasoned and tender. I had them put tomatoes, black olives, lettuce, onions, and feta in the pita. They were all fresh and tasted great in the pita. The pita bread was fantastic. It's a blend of wheat and white flour which not only gives it a great consistency but great flavor as well. The falafels herbaceous and delicious. They had that great crisp exterior and soft inviting center. They were great eating with Tahini's side sauces. The yogurt base sauce was delicious. The service was inviting and informative. I like the way they give the run of the menu and options if you have questions. There is a good amount of inside seating and plenty of outside seating.

I'm so glad I finally got to try this place. It recently opened up in mission valley and I have been wanting to go try it and I was not disappointed! I got a make you own bowl and chose half salad and half rice as the base and falafel as my protein. Their falafel is SO GOOD. It had a crispy outside and the inside was moist, it is so hard to find good falafel but the search is over! Their falafel is a must try. The bowls were a little pricey for the size but you can tell the ingredients were quality and fresh! Plus I was so full before I even finish my bowl. At this place, once you arrive, you go to the counter to order and then your name is called when your order is ready. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. There was so much seating, for large and small parties. We ended up sitting in the covered patio outside and I loved that they had an intercom that let you know when your food was ready. They also have reverse osmosis filtration system so the water was very good.

So excited to hear tahini opened up in mission valley! They're in the same plaza as Food4Less across from hazard center, so lots of parking. Their food is always super fresh and filling. Ordered online for really easy pickup. Staff were super welcoming and quick. Lots of seating inside and also a pretty big patio area. I love that they are connected to Finjan coffee too.

Both are always cooked perfectly and never dry at all. They have a ton of different sauces you can choose from, but my favorites are the garlic sauce and cilantro tahini.  They have a small parking lot that's shared with a couple of other businesses. If you come during peak meal times you may have to wait for a spot or park one lot over, but I've never really had any issues. If you're ordering during lunchtime on a weekday, they do get super busy since a lot of employees from neighboring offices come by for takeout, so just be sure to give yourself plenty of time. The staff is also consistently warm and kind, which makes the whole experience feel good from the moment you walk in. My only real frustration is with the wait times on online orders, and it's significant enough that I have to mention it. I work 10 min away and only get a 35-40 minute break. The app consistently quotes around 20 minutes- but honestly, 20 minutes shouldn't even be necessary. I've stood there and watched them make a bowl. It takes about two minutes. Other similar restaurants have my order ready in five minutes, consistently. So when the app quotes 20 and then I still end up waiting at the 20 minute mark on top of that - in a nearly empty restaurant - something is off. Today this happened (I hit the 20 min mark with no food), and I had to go up and ask them to make my order. This isn't a one-time thing either. It's happened enough times over the years that it genuinely deters me from coming here on my break. To their credit, there was a stretch where it seemed like they had it figured out, so I know they can do it. I just wish that consistency would stick. If you're not on a time crunch, absolutely go. The food alone is worth it. But if you're relying on a quoted pickup time, build in a buffer- a bigger one than you'd think you'd need.
