It has everything you need if you know you're way around a gym or have an app. TRX, Squat rack, free weights, treadmill etc. Next time we come up we'll for sure be back. Maybe we'll even try to make a class. I don't know if this is the norm or if it was the holiday but we only saw one other person there all three times we went. So we had the run of the place. Pretty sweet. Recommended for folks that just want to get in, get a workout and get on with everything else that Tahoe has to offer.

They communicate the fine points of poses, while keeping things lively and meditative at the same time. In particular, I greatly enjoy the Sunday morning sessions of Deanna's - a great way to find balance and strength to last a whole week. Deanna is always welcoming, and well accommodates neophytes and expert students alike, wherever their practice may be. And, Stephanie's enthusiasm and good nature are boundless. Somehow, she always works in individualized attention even in a crowded class. I always learn something new about myself in every class.

We tried out 2 different classes at Mountain Lotus Yoga. The first was SUP (stand up paddle board)…read moreyoga on Lake Tahoe, which was a fun experience and what I would describe as an intro to paddle boarding combined with a mini-gentle yoga practice once you are out on the water. If you are looking for a great workout, do not choose this activity. If you are looking for some time in the lake, a chance to get acquainted with balancing on a paddle board and gently waking up with some yoga poses, this is exactly what you want. The next one we tried was the 75 minute heated vinyasa class at the Truckee Location. The studio is great, well heated, and everything was clean. This class wasn't really what I would describe as vinyasa, though. It was more of a super fast moving bikram-type sequence, combined with sculpting. If you want to get a good workout, enjoy Bikram, and sweat a lot, this is for you. If you want to feel a flow and the gradual build from one pose to another, this is probably not your class.

This is as good as it gets in the Truckee area…read more I visited High Sierra Fitness yesterday. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The fees are certainly within reason and the equipment and work out area very clean and uncrowded. You can also use this facility if you are staying at Cedar House, a short drive away.
