Came here for a K-pop event and decided to order some food before it started. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl and one of their lemonade drinks. Both came out quickly and were pretty tasty. I should have asked for more teriyaki sauce since there was a lot of rice and it needed some sauce. I'll be here again soon for another event, so I'm looking forward to trying something new!

2nd visit and I loved my bowl a lot more than my first visit- it's all about choosing the right mix of fish, veggies, and sauces. The 3 protein bowl is huge and def enough for 2 servings if you can restrain yourself. Easy order at a kiosk or ahead of time.

Super cute and clean spot with lots of seats. You place your order at the kiosk, and they call out your order when it's ready. I ordered the lemonade mango fruit tea with black jelly. I like how when you place the order at the kiosk, it's easier to customize your order such as the type of tea (black vs green), less sugar, less ice and what toppings. I didn't order food but it looked fresh.

This place was so good! For a fast casual place it was actually putting out delicious fresh foods and good boba drinks! Great portions too, easily 2 meals for me, only one for hubby tho, lol. I got a build your own rice bowl, they have paper where you can fill it out and pick everything you want easy and great to get exactly what you like! The bowl was huge, the rice was warm and seasoned, all toppings fresh, just really good! Hubby got a miso ramen bowl and loved it, great broth! Also enjoyed the boba, I got a mango milk crush and the boba was nicely cooked and chewy. Great quick lunch!

Really cute spot with lots of seating, and some board games available, making this is a really nice place to hang out. I'm also a big big fan of their poke bowls! It's customizable and you're able to pick so many toppings without any additional fees resulting in a really filling meal. However not the biggest fan of their fruit milk teas. When it first came out, the color itself already kind of gave away how artificial it would be. I'm sure their normal milk teas and fruit teas are probably better though.

Well, knock my socks off why don't ya! My daughter requested boba and I purposely looked for someplace new to me since I haven't tried all the boba near my house. Taichi is gorgeous inside! Influencers dream with the decor, neons, great dining room and a patio! Crystin and I ordered- she got one of the infruitea drinks- big chunks of fresh fruit. I went with fruit tea- black tea with lychee flavor and boba. My daughter always teases me that I suck down boba tea SO FAST and this was no exception. I loved it and wanted more right away. My daughter also loved hers and did go back for more and ordered bowls too. The chicken teriyaki bowl was phenomenal! Connor's bowl was also scrumptious. So- nailed it with style, service, flavor, food and drink and you just scored a repeat customer! Not to mention you are now a favorite of my daughters- when she visits!

Taichi has been one of our favorites since they opened. We especially like that they have a small size. It's perfect for kids who want to try different flavors, and Mom doesn't have to share! we typically get the taro milk tea, mango milk tea and the dalonga coffee with boba. If you're not into the chewy stuff, they also have different popping bobas, jellys and even red bean options to add to your drink. Poke bowl is fresh and made to order. Haven't tried the ramen yet, but it's next up on the list.

I stopped at Taichi Bubble Tea on a whim after grocery shopping. I was pleasantly surprised to see how cute the inside was set up. The menu is pretty diverse as well. I really enjoyed the fact that you can create your own personalized rice bowl, sushi bowl, or sushi burrito wrap. I also was really impressed with the selection of ramen and sushi. For this visit, I created a sushi wrap which was so delicious. I ate it before I could even get a good picture. I look forward to coming back and trying the ramen. I think this place is well worth checking out for lunch. It's very nice on the inside if you'd like to sit and enjoy a companion or also work. I am excited to come back soon.

So happy to have a poke place on Kernan. Fast service, do not have to interact with employees. Food was good wish you could walk with them and build your on bowl, other than that I deftly will be back. The inside is nice and clean. Just need to clean the tables on the outside, but this may go to now's for dinner.

This place... awesome. My family stumbled across this place after my daughter's two Boba tea places were not opened yet. So, I typed "Boba tea" into Waze, and Taichi was the closest to our location. As it was my daughter's 14th birthday, we waited the 10 minutes for them to open. She just wanted her typical Boba tea order of brown sugar mess of a drink, and she said it was delicious! She got a kick out of the sealed lid that you had to poke the straw hole into the mood you were in. As the rule for family birthdays, she got to pick where we went for dinner, and, surprise, surprise, she picked Taichi. After spending the afternoon in Daytona, we drove straight there and got dinner to go. We walked in and chose to order using the computer rather than wasting the employee's time. My son, who eats nothing fun or exciting, got the Miso Ramen with chicken. Granted, he only ate the noodles, juice and chicken, but he said it was better food than Cheesecake Factory. This was a huge compliment from a 10-year-old. I got the rice bowl with plenty of veggies. DELICIOUS! My daughter got the Chicken Miso, as well. She said it was really good as well. No complaints, we are fans!

A Delicious Experience at Modu Ramen!…read more We recently had the pleasure of dining at Modu Ramen on Baymeadows Road, and what a wonderful experience from beginning to end! One of the highlights of our visit was getting to meet Chef Kim, who came out personally to speak with us and walk us through the menu. He took the time to explain the different dishes, flavors, and ingredients, which made the experience feel so much more personal. You can truly feel the passion he has for what he creates. ‍ And a big shoutout to Christian, who took such great care of us throughout our meal. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. It made us feel right at home. We started with the Vegetable Gyoza and Corn Croquettes -- both were delicious and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For ramen, we had several different bowls so we could experience a little bit of everything: Beef Bulgogi Ramen -- tender beef bulgogi with chicken broth, a soft egg, Naruto, and bok choy. One thing I really appreciated is that if you don't eat pork, you can substitute the broth, making it easier to find something that works for your preferences. Curry Tonkotsu Ramen -- rich, flavorful curry broth with chicken, mushrooms, and corn. So comforting and packed with flavor! Vegetable Curry Ramen -- a delicious option for veggie lovers, with that wonderful curry flavor and plenty of satisfying ingredients. Of course, we couldn't stop at the food! Mango Sake -- fruity, refreshing, and such a fun pairing with the meal. Butterscotch Latte -- sweet, creamy, and absolutely delicious. A perfect little treat alongside dinner. And then came dessert... and this was definitely something special! Mango Bingsu -- light, refreshing, and full of mango flavor. Tiramisu Bingsu -- such a fun twist on traditional tiramisu! Creamy, indulgent, and the perfect way to end the meal. What I loved most about Modu Ramen was that it wasn't just about having a good bowl of ramen. It was the whole experience -- the welcoming atmosphere, Chef Kim taking the time to personally explain the menu, Christian's wonderful service, and all the different flavors coming together to make the meal memorable. If you're looking for a place to enjoy comforting ramen, creative dishes, and genuinely warm hospitality, Modu Ramen is definitely worth adding to your Jacksonville dining list! Modu Ramen - One of the Best Ramen Experiences in Jacksonville!…read more What an incredible meal at Modu Ramen on Baymeadows! This was easily one of the best ramen experiences I've had in Jacksonville. The flavors were so authentic that with every bite, I felt like my taste buds were taking a trip back to Japan. I loved that the ramen is customizable. You can choose vegetable, chicken, or pork broth, adjust the spice level, and select from different curry and spice options. This makes it easy to create a bowl exactly the way you like it. We tried the Vegetable Gyoza, Corn Croquettes, Beef Bulgogi Ramen with chicken broth, soft egg, naruto and bok choy, Curry Tonkotsu with chicken, mushrooms and corn, and Vegetable Curry Ramen. Every dish was flavorful, and the portions were generous and hearty. The Beef Bulgogi Ramen was a standout for me, with an amazing combination of Japanese and Korean flavors. The curry ramen had a wonderful depth and authentic spice. The broths are incredibly rich and flavorful, and you can substitute the broth if you don't eat pork. I've had similar styles of ramen in Japan, and Modu Ramen really brought back those flavors. The spice, depth of flavor and overall authenticity were outstanding. My taste buds were honestly in food-flavor nirvana! And I have to mention the Mango Sake--my favorite drink of the evening! We also enjoyed the Butterscotch Latte. For dessert, we finished with Mango Bingsu and Tiramisu Bingsu, both delicious and a refreshing way to end such a flavorful meal. Chef Kim was amazing and personally came out to talk with us about the menu and the dishes. You can tell he takes great pride in what he creates. Christian provided excellent service--friendly, attentive and quick. Modu Ramen isn't just another ramen restaurant. The combination of authentic flavors, customizable bowls, generous portions and Korean-Japanese influences makes this place special. If you're looking for some of the best ramen and authentic Japanese flavors in Jacksonville, Modu Ramen should definitely be on your list.

He mentioned wait times for tables, so I chose a Tuesday evening to try to avoid the crowds and it worked as I was immediately sat upon arriving. There are QR Menus on the table and my server directed me to view there. I spotted the Tokyo and was intrigued by the Ajitama Brûlée (signature torched seasoned soft boiled egg). What I Ordered: - Tokyo: For $16.95, I thought this was reasonably priced and excited to try as reading reviews raved about the umami flavor of their ramen. Without exaggeration, this was a life-changing ramen. The best ramen that I've had in my life!! The torched egg was genius and added a beautiful texture to the rich, and flavorful broth. The fried chicken thigh was a delicious protein and cooked so well. Honestly, every ingredient was crafted well and combined to make such a beautiful bowl. - Lychee Martini: What better way to toast to life, then with a martini! The popping bubbles were not my thing, but the flavor of the martini was delicious. I can see why many suggest trying it. This is my 1900th review on Yelp, and I couldn't pick a better place to review and RAVE about my experience. If you are in Jacksonville, RUN don't walk to this location for a stunning experience as it's a gorgeous location that is very cozy. Unfortunately, I did not receive a meaningful response or any indication that the concern was taken seriously. I'm sharing this here so others have a complete picture when deciding where to go, and so the business has another opportunity to reflect on how customer interactions are handled. Service was meh at best: the young ladies were more interested in their phones and there were two of them to one of me. I initially wanted to try the soup dumplings (Xiao Long Bao), but the waitress convinced me not to as "they take too long" to prepare. Instead I went with the pork fried dumplings and the Taiwanrse sausage. The dumplings were very average: not bad flavor but they had a flavor and were uniform in a way that suggested they came right out of a bag from the freezer. There are much better and fresher dumplings to be had in Jacksonville. The sausage, however, was quite good. It was taught, porky, and had notes of five spice & maybe cinnamon. It further reinforced my view that meat always tastes best when served on a stick! It helped bring in the final score two three stars, making up for poor service and mediocre dumplings.

I rate it as a pretty good Asian restaurant with some minor flaws that can be easily fixed. BUT! I'll say up front that I didn't find any flaws with my meal and chosen beverage! Yes, I would certainly eat or do takeout here again! The good here, were the meals. The ramen, hibachi, and the dish that Lea ordered were sizable, filled with good meats and veggies - not just a rice or noodle stuffing. My hibachi with shrimp was cooked superbly! There was a nice orange sauce on the grilled shrimp and it was seared perfectly. I was a happy man. But it also came with fried rice (you can choose plan white rice too) and mixed veggies. It was a full meal indeed! Had to take some of it home. Jimmy also had the hibachi meal with chicken. He conquered his full meal - I don't know how! Goldie had one of the Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen bowls with chicken. It was filled with meats, vegetables and other items that she enjoyed for her evening meal. Given we ate on a Monday, it was pretty slow here - but there were a good number of carryout pickups too. My only real negatives was that the service was slow. It took quite a while to get my meal to me our server said it was because the carryout orders slowed things down inside. They had one server working on this evening and she was gracious and took pretty good care of us. The one other item we talked to each other about as far as this shop is concerned was the lack of air conditioning. It wasn't hot, but it was pretty warm inside. Yes, it was a very hot day and this restaurant has a large space to cool. So I can understand the need to conserve, but others may not. All in all we had a nice, relaxed evening with lots of jokes and smiles! This was a great place to meet up and I certainly would visit again! Recommend: HIGH

The Katsu Sando Sliders feature crispy chicken katsu on soft potato bread with fresh cabbage, katsu sauce, Japanese mayo, red onion, and sweet pickle peppers, every element working in perfect harmony. The Potato Korokke was equally incredible, perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with katsu fried potato and vegetables paired with katsu sauce and Japanese mayo.
