Second time here and it was the extreme opposite from first visit. The menu is completely different and the food was mostly inedible. Service was friendly and fast. Restaurant itself seemed uncared for. We were the only diners. They offered free water in a glass decanter. It was warm and tasted terrible. We ordered chicken katsu sliders and chicken ramen. The sliders were so drenched in a sickly sweet yet also super salty sauce. The bread was stale. I took two bites and was done. The ramen broth was like pure super salty soy sauce. The chicken pieces tasted off. The egg was a weird texture and taste, and Carl NEVER says no to eggs in any form until today. The bok choy was too tough to bite through. The noodles by themselves were edible. I took some out and put crispy garlic chili oil on them and had a few bites of that while Carl fished the rest out of the broth with a fork and ate them that way. Worst meal ever. Sorry. I don't think they care. I think it's more about the bar and anime. Won't be back. read more

First, the server stated that they do not serve food. They only offer karaoke. Second, I came with my kids and he preceded to talk trash about me and my family in front of his co worker. I ordered steak and shrimp hibachi and crab Rangoon. The steak meat was so tough that it was almost impossible to chew. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. There was no flavor to the hibachi rice, vegetables, or meats whatsoever. The crab Rangoon had good flavors. I won't be returning. read more

Great price and quality for fast bar food! I'm always so hungry when i go drinking at the Nakama bar next door and we finally gave it a try! Pretty good! It's pretty good tasting and the price is decent as well!! Kinda warm in there. But it's a cute place to dine in! There is self serve water. At the same table is a variety of condiments. Sriracha, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and etc. The vegetable curry is a good consistency and amount. It's just weirdly sweet? I added all of the condiments i listed above lol and it evened out nicely. We came in at 2230 and most of the items we wanted were sold out which is awesome coz that means business is doing well! We ordered a bunch of food: grilled pork in curry ramen, pork belly fried rice, miso soup, pork buns, yaki onigiri and panko shrimp donbori bowl. The curry was tasty and not salty. I finished the ramen and took home the remaining curry so I can eat it with rice at home . We'll definitely come back for the karaage chicken buns and skewers! We finally had a chance to stop by and try this place out. This is the cafe side where you can order food and next door is the bar and karaoke side where all the fun stuff takes place. We opted to stay at the Cafe side since we're having lunch. All orders are in to-go containers which is a bummer so presentation is out the window. Here's what we ordered: * Chicken Hibachi - meat was pale with no flavor. We like it seared which was lacking. * Pork Curry Bowl - little piece of overcooked meat with soupy curry which I thought was ramen broth. Never seen a clear-looking curry before. * Yakitori Chicken - more pale meat which tasted bland. Not grilled. * Pork Belly Bun - meat was a little tough, but ok. Food was disappointing. Super fun atmosphere, and friendly staff! Food is tasty too, my personal favorites being the Hibachi and shoyu ramen! Can order at the cafe and wait over in the karaoke bar side and have some drinks and play some video games. Super fun for the family during the day and is a party for 21+ after 10pm. read more

For the price, it was great! Quick good service and yummy food! I loved the karaage chicken buns, the sauce was phenomenal and the chicken had a great crunch to it!! The YAKITORI CHICKEN Skewers were a Great Starting Point with a tasty sauce that coated the chicken. $6 The KARAAGE CHICKEN Buns were Crunchy and I enjoyed the Aioli was creamy, but I wanted more of it to get the spicy flavor onto the chicken. $7 The PORK BELLY FRIED RICE Was simple, but so flavorful with the Pork Belly and perfectly cooked rice. I would order it again & add some chicken next time for extra protein . $10 This place should not be compared to your Traditional Ramen or Asian Restaurant because that is not what they are trying to accomplish. I wanted to try a new place and my friend told me about this anime cafe/bar that I would love. The wall art is amazing and I love how simple the establishment is laid out. Food is served in one area and you can travel over to another which has a full bar, band and is just a vibe. The service was fast and everything we ate tasted amazing. First time we went the café part was closed due to them getting a new flooring so we popped into the bar/karaoke area and grabbed a cocktail and Japanese soda. The cocktails were light and refreshing and the bartender was super knowledgeable and polite. We came back Saturday to try the café and were pleasantly surprised. The place was packed and we got the last table. It is a to go style café. Everything is already made to go but made fresh we ordered and then a staff member brought the meal to our table. Kind of like at a Panera everything was hot and flavorful, the fried rice left a little bit to be desired but was decent. The decor is over the top and awesome for any anime lover. I really hate to give this place 1 start because it has potential. However, my husband and I came here and there were (I swear I am not exaggerating) over 1,000 gnats on the wall, and at least 30 actually flying around food. We could not even stand in there to wait on our food. Our skin was crawling. As far as food, I got the curry rice and it wasn't curry, it was a clear sauce with scallion and carrots so that was disappointing. This is possibly the worst place I have been to in the Jacksonville area for food. When you walk in it smells like sewage. There were two other customers and they were grumpy looking and not eating so it was a bad sign. We waited for ten minutes just to get our order in at the counter and then we waited over an hour for this bacon, pork, egg bento and the bacon was all black char and the pork as well. my family ordered some taiyaki and croquettes and it never came out so we left but to their credit they refunded us for the food. multiple other groups waited for over two hours for stuff they ordered as well and the quality is subpar. the fruit was literally 1 strawberry and 5 blueberries and most of the food was burnt but the toast is not toasted. definitely not worth it for $13 and the wait. I don't know if their regular night time menu is better but the cook seems like they cant even make bacon so i don't know how it could be good. The menu is completely not what is shown here on yelp. none of the skewers were available and they said that is because it is mother's day. we were definitely fooled by the reviews here. very disappointing. i will add half a star for refunding our food costs. read more
