She walked her regularly and even gave training advice, as well as worked with her on her training by reinforcing good behavior. We definitely recommend her and would use it again.

Irina of Pet Angel of Santa Fe is absolutely exceptional in every way that matters…read more I just hired Irina for the first time ( 4/25 - 4/28/2025) to take care of my post-surgery, one year old male cat for 4 days, at her home. He had had a very delicate operation to repair a tricky break in the tibia bone of his back right leg. They had installed a metal brace and screws and wire. Very expensive and extremely important to contain the cat so he would not harm the leg while it is healing. I had an out of state family funeral to attend and was in a panic. I googled something like post-surgery in home care in Santa Fe. Her website plus one other Pet Hospital came up. I reviewed her website, noticed how well it was designed with attention to detail (very important) and that she was licensed via the city of Santa Fe for animal care. I never even felt the need to review the other website. My cat, named Kitty, needed 24/7 care and someone with experience handling medications and delicate post-surgery care. I emailed her of my upcoming needs, as it was late on a Sunday and I needed to leave in 4 or 5 days. We spoke the next day and went over all my concerns. As we spoke it was so obvious that she was very experienced in the post-surgery needs of an animal. Additionally, she demonstrated a deep understanding of relating to the cats and dogs she takes care of. If you want to just have Irina go to your home and feed and water and clean up after your pets while you are away that is of course possible also. Irina sent me wonderful photos and reports everyday of Kitty. I felt completely confident that Kitty got excellent care and attention...complete with a heated rug his first day there to comfort him as he adjusted to this new environment. I could go on and on but don't want to make this any longer. In short, all pet owners in Santa Fe, are lucky to have Irina the Pet Angel of Santa Fe as an option for animal care when the need arises. Thanks, Irina for your love and devotion to my Kitty and all cats and dogs. Mary BB

When I dropped my two boys off for a 30 day stay, I tried to pre-pay on two separate occasions…read more Once when I dropped them off and then again a week later. they refused my pre-payment stating they only accepted payment at the very end. On the 30th day when I came to pick up my dogs, I stated that I did not have the full payment anymore because I had lost my home wrecked my car and my mother had died in front of me all within the span of two weeks. Because of the circumstances, I only had a partial payment. I said I could work out a payment plan with them that they refused stating I needed the full payment or they would not release my dogs to me. At the time I wasn't aware, but what they were doing was highly illegal. You cannot hold someone's dogs as collateral. They should've taken me to court for the payment. Instead the next day or so, so they gave my dogs away to a stranger. One of my dogs has severe epilepsy and his medication costs $200 a month just to keep him alive and I'm afraid that his medical condition may have caused him his life at this point. They will not give out any information as to who they gave my dogs to. I have offered multiple times to make payments since then, with the hopes that they would give some information as to what happened to my dogs, but they won't. The owner specifically said to me that my window had closed and that she would not give out information about my babies who I had since birth until they were six years old. I have since taken legal action and have made a police report now that I know what they did was illegal. Be careful where you take your dogs because you never know what could happen.

I have not used their services, but I visited when looking for a place to board my dog…read more I would be very comfortable boarding my dog here. The place was spotless and each dog had a pretty big area with both indoor and outdoor access. Also, they play with the dogs. My dog does not like being in a group of other dogs so this set up of individual suites works great for her.

I tried to get my dog Geoffrey into this Doggie Day Care facility. It was an unbelievable…read moreexperience. The first day I called, they asked what breed he was and how old was he. I told them he's a German Shepherd and I didn't know exactly how old he was as he was a rescue. She said they'd call me back. They didn't. So I called again the next day and the girl on the other end started asking the same questions. I told her I'd already been through that. She told me I'd have to get a letter of reference from whatever shelter or rescue he came from. This seemed odd as I never had to do this with my other dog, also a rescued German Shepherd, at this place or at Wags and Wiggles in Tustin, CA or at Camp Bow Wow in New Orleans. I've never heard of this being a requirement ANYWHERE. So I called the director of German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County, and she shot off an email outlining his background and attesting to his sterling character that same day and which I forwarded to them immediately. So the next day I waited. And waited. At 1PM I called them. I told the girl they had received the required reference email. She told me that the manager hadn't read her email yet. Say what??? How would the girl behind the counter know whether or not the manager in her office had read her email? And it was 1PM and they open at 7AM. So again I was blown off. I suspected that this was a case of discrimination. So I called a friend and asked her to call and say she wanted to put her dog in their day care. I told her to tell them what I had told them except say her dog was a Golden Retriever. She did and the girl told her they'd be happy to set up an appointment right then and there. Infuriated, I called again and said I wanted to speak with the manager. The girl said: "Oh...this is Claire... " I said yes this is Claire and I want to speak to the manager!!! She put me on hold for about 5 minutes. Then the manager came on and said that she had received the email from GSROC and told me we could come in for our "evaluation" at noon the following Thursday. I'm thinking they believed requiring a letter of reference from a shelter or rescue would stop me dead in my tracks. Most public shelters are too big and busy to do this. Probably many rescues as well. They didn't bank on GSROC being as classy and professional as they are or that I volunteered with them for years. So now after all of this hassle and marching into a brick wall, I canceled our "evaluation" appointment. They only gave it to me because they knew I wasn't going to let it rest, and it's likely they'd reject my dog regardless over whatever preconceived prejudicial issues they obviously have. Shortly after, I took Geoffrey to Paws Plaza. No appointment was necessary. He was welcome anytime. They do an "integration" with new dogs which I'm sure is much like Santa Fe Tail's "evaluation" but it just sounds more accurate and less pompous. The people were very nice, he passed with flying colors and had a great time. I was very impressed with this place! Dealing with Santa Fe Tails had been such a negative experience. I would never do business or entrust my dogs to them again. And as far as Joey P.'s worn out rebuttal to their many negative reviews: "SF Tails does not feel Yelp is the most productive platform for communication and encourage all of our clients, current or potential, to interact with us directly so we can continue to cultivate a positive experience." I DID interact directly which is precisely WHY it was such a bad experience!
