This is a hidden gem within Lexington, MA. The restaurant offers authentic Taiwanese cuisine. They specialize on Fish with Fermented Cabbage. We didn't get to try it since our kids wanted other dishes. But I was envious watching the other table order it. The juicy dumplings were a hit with our kids. They also feasted on the string beans and beef fried rice. I liked the marinated beef and eggplant I garlic sauce. The garlic sauce was blend of salty and sweet flavor. This is a family run business. The servers are very friendly and accommodating.

This restaurant is your no frills Chinese restaurant. It looks like a typical Chinese restaurant built in the 80's or 90's with it's aesthetics and interior design. Be sure to park in the lot to the left of the restaurant and not in the plaza lot or risk being towed. From the name, you would think this is a Taiwanese restaurant, but it's mainly a Sichuan restaurant in disguise as most of the dishes are spicy and there's not that many Taiwanese dishes on the menu. For appetizers, we got the crunchy cucumbers which was good for relieving some of the spiciness of the other foods. It was ok, but didn't seem the most fresh and wasn't crunchy. The favorite dish was the fish fillet with tofu. It also had fried beans on top which gave it a nice crispy texture. The sauce was slightly sweet and complimented the rice. The runner up was the lamb dry pot. It has a decent amount of lamb and the veggies had a lot of flavor. The spicy and sour beef rice noodles was the spiciest dish by far! Unfortunately, we found the noodles too hard to eat the first time so we did have to send the dish back. The second time was better and the noodles were softer. The service was good, we asked many questions about different dishes. The food came out quickly (all out by 10 minutes of ordering). Overall, I recommend this restaurant is you like authentic spicy Sichuan dishes and unique Chinese food!

Good food, decent prices and good service. Went here few weeks back to meet up with friends so we were a group of 7 people. Initially we sat at one of the long tables but soon after everyone arrived they gave us one of the round tables with the lazy susan rotating center. We ordered a bunch of dishes - kung pao chicken, MaPo tofu, a lamb dish that came in a pot, beef dish, squash dish, a green leafy vegetable dish, and a couple other dishes none in total plus steamed white rice and green tea. There was a lot of food and it was all very good and tasty. Meats were tender and flavorful. We were quite satisfied and full with all the food! We also got some leftovers to bring home lol! Parking was easy as they have parking. Also was easy to find this place not too hard. Will come here again if we're in the area.

Such a great, authentic Chinese food restaurant. I've ordered a few times for take out and it's always quick and consistent! The food doesn't feel as heavy or greasy as some other Chinese restaurants. Parking is abundant and ordering online or over the phone is easy!

The food is great. We passed by this cute place, and like the food there. The chicken with tea mushroom in the clay pot is a good choice for the cold weather. I wouldn't recommend the eel, not a fan. The eel fried first then stir fried, which is a little bit too dry for me.

First time visiting and we had a great experience! We came on Sunday and the place was packed! Roughly a 30 min wait from when we arrived at 1:20. It smelled so good, it was hard to wait! Once we sat down we ordered the soup dumplings, shrimp dumplings, chicken & broccoli, and the fish filet with chili. Our waitress warned us the fish would be spicy and it was perfect (not too spicy for us but we do like spice). The food was super fresh and the portions were EXCELLENT. There was so much fish that between 3 people we had leftovers. The soup dumplings were good, liked the thinner dumpling skin, but not amazing. The shrimp dumplings were unfortunately a miss so I wouldn't get them again (small/lacking in flavor). The chicken with broccoli was super fresh & a nice lighter dish to have along with the fish. Service was quick and prices were very reasonable. Will definitely be back!

General Tso's Chicken without the actual chicken

The General Tso's chicken has barely any chicken, mostly the dough. Many of the pieces lacked the meat altogether. It was like eating fried dough. The cashier claimed that this is the proper way. I think it's ridiculous to even call it General Tso' CHICKEN when there is barely even any meat. I've ordered from many other restaurants and received actual meat, so I don't know why they would do this. Very disappointing.

Excellent as always! Lunch specials include rice, soup and spring rolls. Nice people and nice environment!

(Real rating: 3.5 stars) This place was getting plenty of takeout orders but the service in the dining room was very quick and attentive. We tried a bunch of appetizers and 2 main entrees: - Pork Soup Dumplings: flavor was on point and quite complex. The 'skin' of the dumplings was disappointingly thick though. - Beef Scallion Pancake Roll: loved the scallion pancake portion (super crispy) and the hoisin-esque sauce was great. - Shanghai Pork Dumplings: wish the dumplings were larger. The flavor was a tad mild. - Beef Noodle Soup: had a necessary kick that wasn't overly spicy. The actual beef pieces were to die for (melt-in-your-mouth texture). Without the excess beef skin, I would've been more satisfied. - Pork Chop Over Rice: fried exterior for the pork chop didn't have much flavor and tried to distract us from the meager portion of pork underneath. Overall, food was decent, but didn't impress.

The food quality is mediocre. The duck was very dry. Even the stir-fried pea spout is under-cooked and tasteless.

They brought over tea in a teapot and cups. We ordered a large hot and sour soup to share between 4 of us and it was plenty. Also ordered the duck appetizer which was really good tender and flavorful. Kung pao chicken is the hubs' favorite and was pretty good. Ma po tofu was good quite spicy very soft tofu. Also got the vegetable dish the mixed vegetable dish which had the Chinese squash, carrots and mushrooms. Everything was delicious and I couldn't stop eating! They brought oranges with the bill which is nice - I like healthy desserts ha ha! The ambience decor is nice with beautiful painted designs on the walls. They also have 2 private rooms with seating for private parties. Service was a bit slow in the beginning but once they got the order the dishes came out fairly quickly. We had lots of leftovers and they packed it all nicely and even gave us 2 extra bags since we wanted to split the leftovers between us. We lucked out with parking and found free street parking very close to the restaurant. Overall good experience!

The portions are generous and the prices are really reasonable, especially when you factor in how much you get. LOTS of bang for your buck. When we went in, we got some canned sodas, but there's a minimum $5 charge in restaurant, so we ended up getting an extra soda to hit that threshold (our fault for forgetting to add the drinks to our main order!) so just something to keep in mind. It's definitely a place to go get takeout and seems tailored to that purpose, but they do have tables inside for eating in. The staff was nice and very efficient. Overall an incredible meal and I will definitely be ordering again!

What I can't accept ever is the change of food flavors and quality that was the initial reason I became a frequent regular. I found out about the transition and kept up my visits and support hoping the dishes I frequented would remain the same. It didn't. It really changed quite a bit. No, I don't blame them for applying their spin on the dishes. But don't expect me to forgive a lot of culinary mistakes that your predecessor perfected. I actually updated this review because I can't keep a 5 star review on a place that I once frequented often that I now decided I'd never return to after the repeated mishaps again, and again, and again. I wish your family the best and hope for the best. But objectively, you can't just buy a place that had culinary excellence and succeed without being of the same caliber - or at least show that you're trying to be there. Cheers.
