Had the buffet dinner and it was really good - lots of fresh flavors and hot entrees. All items we tried were yummy. The only mis-step was the chicken entree was over cooked so a little firmer and chewier than just right. Otherwise, service was good and food selection was spot on.

Taj is our family favorite restaurant ! Perfect food! Tasty and delicious! Saag paneer and tikka masala is our best choice.

Great place. Me and my friend went here for the lunch buffet, and were pleasantly surprised. The weekday lunch buffet was only $15 per person before tax and tip. There was a large variety of food, and what I enjoyed the most was the tikka masala, honey chicken, the two desserts, saag, and the naan bread. The bread was freshly baked and just addicting. Best I've had at a restaurant. The service was well and the server was great at refilling water and taking plates. The next day we went back to try the app "too good to go" where restaurants resell food that would have been thrown away. This is the plate we got for $6. It was great!

After a whole day of hiking, being just on coffee & a cookie. We wanted to have some good Indian food. By the name it seemed like to be a North Indian Cuisine. Situated in a big complex with ample of parking space available. A+ + on the service, F- - - on food. The worst Indian food I have ever had, Plain bland food, no spice at all. I am shocked by the reviews, just to see that majority who have praised have not yet tasted true Indian food. The dinner was buffet with both Veg & Non Veg food. So was no item tasty? Only decent item was the rice pudding. We had to ask for salt to even gulp down that food. 50$ bill including tip. Having such food on an empty stomach, just sick.

We called in today asking if the lunch buffet was still going and Kamala said it stops at 2:30, it was 2:25.

It never arrived from either of the glum mortuary attendants. I settled into the AYCE buffet Tikka Masala, watery, bland and depressing. Plenty of vegetarian and meat options. Around lunch time the buffet well stocked and nothing is suffering from sitting in the steam table long. We have eaten here many times over the years and it seems consistently good. Some things are just so so but it's all a matter of taste and preference anyway. Chili chicken and potatoes and broccoli were stand outs today. Full of flavor. Freshly cooked and I left nothing behind. The naan is plentiful but one piece is enough. The samosas are pretty standard for every Indian restaurant on the planet. I love veg chow chow having had this on our Mount Everest base camp trek so many times. Love it! Service is ok. It's a buffet. They seat you and you dig in. We prefer to sit outside as it was hot and humid inside. Price is ok for Boulder and the current state of inflation and pricing of everything being stupid. This restaurant is huge and can seat every size group. We will be back.

Visited this location the other evening for dinner and overall enjoyed our meal. I'm from out of…read moretown and come from an area with a high Indian population and am absolutely spoiled with delicious authentic Indian food at home and I do have to admit this place isn't nearly as good as my local fare. We ordered the Aloo Gobi, a dish called "mushroom matter", basmati rice, "Indian style tea" which is just chai I don't know why they label it that way and a garlic naan. The aloo gobi was almost all cauliflower and lacked the brightness and salty sweetness I am used to, the mushroom dish also fell a bit flat although I've never seen this dish before so I have nothing to compare it to, the basmati rice was fairly short grained, not very fragrant and unspiced but the thing that got me was the crunchy toasted naan??! I was expecting your normal soft, pillowy, melt in your mouth steamy naan and I got what felt more like a crunchy pizza crust with no toppings, not that it was bad but it was wildly outside of what I was expecting and personally didn't like it, my daughter will eat any bread product and ate it instead. The service was incredibly nice, friendly, accommodating, and helpful, our food came quickly. I do wish they had some way of dealing with delivery drivers since they just loiter in the entry of the restaurant near the kitchen which happened to be right next to our booth and more than one large sweaty delivery driver was essentially leaning against my daughters side of the booth while waiting for pick up, kinda gross. They also need to replace their carpets and bench cushions but otherwise I loved the decor. Overall they need to step up their spice game, this is Indian food bring your A game and all other faults would be forgiven, except that crunchy naan. They also don't have Chana masala??!!? This is my go to and I've never seen this not offered at an Indian restaurant in my area. As a person spoiled by incredible Indian food this sadly doesn't hold up but it's good enough and better than other places we have tried in the area like Kathmandu II.

The spring rolls were like an oasis in the desert after walking around the Boulder Art Festival on a very sunny day in July. They were packed with herbs and veggies and the peanut sauce really is exceptional. Perfectly balanced to my taste. I knew I wanted mango sticky rice so I kept the entree light and got a cup of tom yum soup with tofu. This too was packed with an impressive amount of veg and protein. The flavor was nice but it was veeeeery salty so I left most of the broth behind. Finally time for dessert. I would have ordered it anyway but when the server said "the mangos are so perfect today" I was fully locked in. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint. The mango was indeed fresh and perfect. The rice was super sticky but not gummy and was soaked with a perfectly sweet coconut sauce. I like a lot of coconut sauce so I could have done with more but it was very delicious regardless. Would try a different entree next time, but overall really good.

We tried it this evening and liked it a lot. I see why it is so popular. But do know they do not have identical menu items to the Denver locations. This fact did cause me to be disappointed when one of the items arrived at the table. My husband loved it though, as he is a big fan of cream cheese which I am not. I only eat items like NY cheesecake and on bagels with lox. What I wanted to try was the roasted duck dumpling but got the fried wonton with cream cheese and duck. It had a good sauce as well as a slice of mango and a pinch of pea shoots on the top. I do love baby pea shoots and though not what I envisioned, I did eat my portion. The shrimp spring rolls were some of the best I have had in a while. I had a hot oolong tea and my husband had a Thai tea. We both liked our drinks which were exactly as we expected. We also had a "small" plate of bbq chicken which was hardly a small thing. A large tasty section of chicken on a bed of lettuce with a side of shredded carrot and cabbage with a very nice sauce. It was perfect for my husband but as I am not allowed chicken skin, it was harder to eat but tasty. Such a bigger serving than we expected, we brought enough home for lunch tomorrow. The staff were friendly, helpful yet not intrusive. The setting was perfect for me and for all as the variety of styles allow for accommodating any needs. Pricing was average for Boulder and more than worth it. We will be back and try more items. Often have lunch with a friend who drives and it will be perfect for that this summer.
