Okay, we have been here three times, while the soup, edamame and sushi have all been delicious. The chef has a super heavy hand with the salt on the fried rice. All three times we have been able to feel the grainy salt while eating the rice. The first time was so bad we sent it back, the second time the server agreed with us when we asked for easy on the salt, this last time the server just ignored our easy on the salt and both orders of rice were loaded with it. Every single time we order from there, I get steamed white rice and every single time they do the opposite and give fried rice. Either they just do not care to actually truly look at all of the order or they see it and just do fried anyways. Each and every time I just stand there at the desk and open up the tied bag to open up the wrong thing each time. It's truly pathetic. UPDATE: have now tried several of the thai dishes in addition to the sushi. I liked the thai food as much if not more. this spot is our new favorite for a special treat meal. they also offer contactless pickup for those concerned about social distancing! read more

My family and I dined here for the second time Friday 3/5. Our first visit was good but this time our server was borderline rude and not attentive. My Thai basil bowl wasn't served until my kids had finished their sushi dinner. They also have large TV's on the walls, first time all sports playing but Friday they had MSNBC on a huge screen above the bar. If they are going to show MSNBC then they should also have Fox News playing. Or better yet, how about keep political stations turned off. read more

Went back and ordered the same thing, 3 Sushi Rolls, soup and extra appetizer. It was a complete disappointment. The sushi rolls were tiny, the rice was undercooked, no soy sauce or wasabi and they charged us $2 extra to add a bit of red curry paste to the soup. The lady at the registered didn't give a hoot, completely indifferent to dissatisfaction. I was really expecting the food and service to be as great but it wasn't. First week of opening and I came in for lunch-fantastic! Jemyra was my waitress and was super sweet! I ordered the hibacci vegetable lunch special which also came with soup and salad for 9.95! Then Alex at the sushi bar let me sample the seaweed salad with a housemade ponzu sauce-delicious! After the salads and soup I wasn't even able to each much of the fried rice and hibachi vegetables so leftovers for at least one more meal! I only wish they opened sooner because I'm going to be changing work locations soon. Can't wait to come back! read more

I have ordered Takashi delivery through 3rd party apps twice. Their food comes QUICK. Less than 50 minutes to get to Mud Island. I have loved their sushi! The shrimp tempura in their rolls stays crunchy and fresh. Loved the Fire Stone Roll (spicy!), Rock N Roll and Philly. I have also had the drunken noodles which were good but a little too sweet for me. My husband enjoyed the fried rice as well. read more

I got a to go order from here on a Sunday afternoon. It took longer to get ready then they said but overall it tasted great. The add chives to their fried rice that really gives it good flavor. The gyoza was just okay. I got the chicken hibachi order and the flavor was great but the chicken was a bit dry. Overall great service. read more

Two rolls, similar name... be sure to specify. Was curious to try this place....Great looking interior and friendly helpful staff. I ordered a Pacific Roll and a Dare Devil Roll to go. There is a pacific special roll dinner and a pacific roll dinner so be sure to specify which roll you want. Went here for lunch, we got the bento box lunch specials and also the monster roll. All of the food was so good! Service was awesome as well. The inside of the restaurant is very sleek and clean. Definitely recommend! And when you come, gotta try the monster roll. read more

While I love the wait staff here, one of my fav things to eat at home is Takashi Bistro take out. Convenient and delicious! I get the Chirashi sashimi plate and my husband must have the Chicken Hibachi plate. I LOVE that we both get exactly what we are craving which includes a delightful soup & salad. What an awesome addition to the midtown food options! The kaboom shrimp are TO DIE FOR and my drunken chicken was as good an Asian dish as I've had anywhere else in Memphis. For just opening, the flow and quality of service was very impressive! Definitely it worth going and trying anything on the menu. Went in for lunch on Saturday. Wasn't busy at all, and my friend and I were seated right away. The refurbished design from the old Pei Wei location was subtle and pleasant. Our server was attentive without being obtrusive. We both ordered sushi; my friend from the lunch specials menu (which was nice that they still offered on the weekend), and I from the special rolls menu. We only waited about 10 minutes for our food order (long enough for anticipation to build, but not so long that we got impatient :)). The sushi rolls were all well-prepared, with generous portions of fish in each roll, but balanced well with the other individual ingredients. Overall, an excellent first visit, and a good replacement for Pei Wei. Next time, I think I'm going to try one of the curry dishes. read more

I absolutely love the food here, especially the stir fried noodles, but every time we order food from this restaurant, our order is always wrong! We just recently picked up our order of 2 avocado salmon rolls, one monster roll, 5 California rolls and a few other things. We received the incorrect type of salmon rolls with no avocado and are missing our monster roll. We also did not receive one of our California rolls. This has happened multiple times. Additionally, we were still charged the same amount for our order, even though we did not receive most of it. I love the food, but I think the order system needs to be fixed. read more

You might mistake this place for Pei Wei (which used to be there) but this place is so much better! We started out with the Kaboom Shrimp Appetizer, which was so flavorful and amazing! Then we had sushi and the drunken chicken. Both were excellent. They have a ton of choices, fast service, and a really good vibe. They also have TVs so it would be a great place to watch a game. Love this place. We have eaten off the Thai menu on two visits. Thai menu is small but hits all the popular Thai dishes. I had the yellow curry and it was excellent. Husband had the chicken basil dish (very good). 8 year old daughter loved the vegetable fried rice with nice mix of fresh veggies. This will be a favorite place for us. read more
