Ok so even taking in account the Covid is affecting everyone and they are doing the best they can...there is still something to be said about quality. We live in Memphis But were staying at the lodge at bass pro and figured we would order some sushi using grub hub. BIG MISTAKE. Even the driver asked if it was really 4 "dinners". We got a grizzle, volcano, monster and California. All pretty much the quality of grocery store sushi and cost 75 with tip. Everything saw in two small containers that totaled maybe 1 styrofoam lunch box. Rolls were watery and slices were about the thickness of My thumb. No forks, chopsticks, napkins. Pretty much and an embarrassment from a restaurant. Sad...sad...sad. Get a hot dog at the gas station and save the $73. Stomach would probably feel better. read more

Do not eat here. They steal your credit card information. I have multiple charges from this restaurant even though I have not been there for months and haven't even been in Memphis during this time period. When I call they say there is nothing they can do and it's the credit card companies fault yet they chose their own credit card processing company and I have yet to see a credit card company process charges on their own only to have to reverse those charges lately. This is absolutely fraud. Not to mention when I did come to eat here I had to wait 45 for my to go order and when I got home my food was wrong anyway. Extremely disappointing as I was really looking forward to Thai food in Memphis. UPDATED: To be clear - Lorena, you stated that this was the issue of YOUR credit card company not mine. You never told me to contact mine. Also you stated that you have been receiving these complaints from a large number of customers because again, YOUR credit card processing was somehow faulty and charging people actually 3x according to you (I was personally charged 2x fraudulently). I do have the emails from you that I can post on here if you'd like where you acknowledge these issues. Please don't try to deflect blame now that you are on a public platform because my attempts to resolve with you personally have gotten nowhere. UPDATE: I reported to my bank and they agreed that the 2 charges were not accurate (of course as I wasn't even in Memphis in the month of April when I was charged on 2 separate days). We ordered dinner through DoorDash. We were missing our entree so we called the restaurant to let them know. They quickly began blaming the DoorDash driver for not giving us both bags. We explained to them that we did receive both bags but they had put the wrong items in the second bag. They kept telling us it was DoorDash. After several minutes, they told us to bring back the incorrect food and then they would give us the correct item, I guess to prove that we weren't lying. Terrible customer service. Snippy the entire time. At least we tried... We get that they are newer and that people make mistakes but there is no excuse for poor customer service. read more

Me and my husband ordered a togo order and went and picked it up, spent $55 and didn't get any sauces or utensils for any of the food. He turns around and goes back in to get some sauces and they handed him 2 soy sauces and 1 spicy Mayo sauce. The person at the counter was reading a book at that.. and we ordered 4 rolls with our order. I called and ask to speak to the manager and I was told I have to pay for the sauces that it's considered extra sauce for spicy Mayo but when you eat inside it's free with the order. What sense does that make. ABSOLUTELY NONE. We will not be back!! I've had it to go before about a month or so ago and did not pay for any sauces and then we ate inside recently and the customer service was terrible on top of it. Great food but poor service. My husband and I were running late for a ballgame and just stopped by chance to eat here before the game. We were expecting just to hurry in and hurry out. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food was. I got the Basil stir fry with tofu. The Tofu was crispy and perfect and the flavor of the veggies were so good and spicy. My husband ordered red curry with beef and it was the best we'd ever had. Really very outstanding. The waiter was excellent and the whole atmosphere was really upbeat and friendly. I sat in my car for 10 minutes trying to decide where to go for sushi for lunch today. I opted for Takashi Bistro because of the location and the 4 and a half stars. I made an amazing choice!!! I started with the Thai chicken coconut soup. Ok, so any coconut-type soup is on my 10 foods/ dishes to take to a deserted island . In other words, it is a fav. Hands down, Takashi Bistro's is the best I've ever had!! I also enjoyed a hot green tea. One, because it is my tradition when enjoying a Japanese meal and two, because it was freezing in the restaurant. Once the soup and tea warmed me up I dug into a sushi roll and Yellowtail nigiri. I selected the Rainbow roll with all kinds of fish and avocado, yum! I thought I was ordering too much food and would have a to-go box. Nope, perfect portions just the way I like. First, just a dressed up hibachi place. Almost every single special roll had fake crab. No apps of any substance. The food was fine. A spicy tuna roll, a spicy yellowtail roll, and spicy basil rice. All very average. The absolute WORST part was the table of grown men, maybeb8 of them, sounded like 20 of them, and they were SO loud, swearing, talking about pu$$y, anal, and more. I couldn't be more disappointed in the Service and how my call was handled. I am a loyal customer and today the disappointment is beyond how a supposed Manager handled my complaint. I usually order via door dash and stopped because something is always missing. Today on 7/10/24 at around 7:30 I ordered food to go. I ordered 3 yum-yum sauce paid .50 cents for each one. When I got home after paying $165.00 for 4 hibachi meals ticket number . I got home and didn't have my sauces. We were all upset because this is every time now. I called and the Rep said I'll get my Manager the Manager said to tell me to come get it they will give it to me I responded by saying I don't live near by this is what I'm told all the time I told them I wanted a credit monies replaced on my card. He stated here's the Manager she proceeded to tell me sorry come get it we are busy. I stated this was a problem I don't live near and even being busy I'm one customer. They weren't busy to take my money for my order. The Manager proceeded to hang up. Upsetting me even more. I proceeded to call back and I was sent to voicemail. I'm so disappointed as to this is the behavior one gets when there's a concern. One person can telll millions and hurt your pocket. This is not how you do business. I asked them to take my name and number for a credit and I got hung up on. They got $25 as a tip mandatory because they do 20% gratuity no matter what and this is how they responded. Totally dissatisfied customer. I'll take my business elsewhere as obviously mine wasn't cared for. Highly Disappounted it's all about numbers and less about the customer satisfaction. So this is a hard one... the food was DELICIOUS!!! Super flavorful, came out piping hot and just overall great! But the service was horribleeeee. We were in the restaurant for over 1.5 hours for lunch. The restaurant was only about 1/2 full, so it wasn't like they were slammed. And there appeared to be plenty of staff. First time visit today. Great food, very fresh. Very clean facility, staff was spot on and extremely polite. Kat was our main server and did a wonderful job. A young man seated us and took our drink/app orders, excellent job as well. As for their Covid handling they are complying with all the foolish rules the Shelby Co Health Dept is forcing on all the hard working folks in the restaurant and retail world. Tables spaced out, hand sanitizer available, masks available etc. staff all wore masks. Terrible requirements but these folks are complying and still turning out a great meal and great service. I've come there before! It was great experience! Miso soup was perfect! Lemon drops were great! (I believe it was happy hour when I went lol) and customer service was more than good! Very attentive. But yesterday I decided to order from here with my cousin, she orders from here quite often so why not right? I ordered a shrimp tempura lunch bento box, mochi, and some shrimp yakisoba. My order came out to be about $42 in total. So i was kinda expecting a lot of interesting items to try! When it arrived I was thrilled to see what all had came considering I had never orders these items before. It was like a mountain of styrofoam in the bag. But what threw me off was that it was light. All of it was light. There were only three mochi in my box that equaled up to almost 6 dollars, the shrimp tempura bento box is what disappointed me the most. It came with a "house salad" but it ended up being a bowl of a handful of JUST lettuce with some ginger dressing, the miso soup I asked for was half full AND lukewarm, the shrimp yakisoba was great tho..I tried to call yesterday to kind of be discreet about letting them know about what happened but about 15 missed phone calls later, I gave up and just threw away what I didn't eat because it either wasn't enough of what I ordered to begin with or wasn't worth what I paid for. I've been coming to Takashi for a while now and only had a problem with one server who has brown hair and looks like he's 25. He watched TV the whole time and never refilled our drinks. Kobe is the only waiter who is worth getting there. He's great. One of the short Asian girls came up to my friends and told them we did not tip enough and were too needy. This place is expensive and we've been loyal customers. Will never be back after being disrespected like this. read more

Either they just do not care to actually truly look at all of the order or they see it and just do fried anyways.
