Take 5 might need to be called Take 1 hour. Pulled in, only communication was guiding the vehicle into the area. After that I sat there w no approach or communication for over 30 minutes. No one checked in, explained why taking so long, or even suggest an apology for why I'm sitting there so long. After 45 minutes, with no one still approaching me, I requested to pull out and try again at another location. Disappointed and have lost confidence w Take 5. I'll just try Walmart next time. I had an awesome experience here! I am that cliché woman that does care about cars nor do I like dealing with any maintenance issues. I was in dyer need of an oil change. My friend told me about this place, I hesitated but had to get it done. So I went in and I was quickly attended to and guided to drive my car in. I got to stay in my car the entire time. During my oil change they also informed me that my car was due for an inspection and they told me they could do it there. I gave it a chance and everything was taken care of without a hitch. With my oil change and inspection I didn't spend more than 30 minutes here. I was in and out and the work was done with care and quality. I passed my inspection and headed out. I like being able to sit in my car while they change the oil. I even used a coupon which equaled up to $29.10 with tax. Remember to honk when you leave! Hello Everyone, I had a coupon to use so I pulled up and was told that they don't honor the coupon so my oil change would cost more, before I could say well no thank you the oil change was done. Lol. Pros: coupons if they honor them. Fast service. Cons: Not honoring coupon. Its hot out so go early or else you will burn up while sitting in your car getting an oil change. One of the guys told me he was tired and didn't wanna be at work. After hearing him say that I felt like he was gonna half do his job. They are so quick and professional, oil is a little pricey but, on there website they usually have a $10 off coupon and on top of it your not waiting an hour to complete the oil change which lets face it, everyone doesn't like to do that which is worth extra money for me in my opinion. Extra cost I wager is to keep them fully staffed and able to keep up with the pace. read more

Great place! Convenient! I was in and out with a state inspection and full service oil change in less than 30 minutes! The people there are friendly and helpful even in 100 degree heat! Don't wanna mess around with the long lines of the big name dealerships with the same quality and better selection of oil. Go here. Trust me. They even change the wipers if you want them to. The tech showed me my engine cabin filter and I will order one online but he didn't try to push it on me which was nice. read more

I was in dire need of an oil change, as I am leaving for an extensive road trip Friday evening after work. What didn't help my case was that my usual, trusted oil change spot is near my house in NW and would of been closed by the time I got there as I work in Sugar Land. I pass Take 5 every morning and did some extensive research (aka Yelp reviews) while at work and decided to give it a shot on the way home. I pulled up and was immediately greeted by both Michael and Jason. Once in the bay and parked, I was asked if I wanted a courtesy beverage and off they went servicing my car. While I did read other reviews about this and other locations around town getting customers out in 8-10 minutes, that wasn't the case with me and for very good reason - my usual spot stripped my oil drain plug at some point and it took a little time to get off. Jason informed me of what was going on and replaced it free of charge. No complaints at all especially with service like that. After addressing that issue, everything else was smooth sailing. Yes, they are a little expensive compared to other chains shops I've been to but time they get you in and out, the extended hours and the simplicity of addressing only the things you need were worth it in my opinion. I'd certainly come back again. read more

I am a former master mechanic and this is my professional opinion. Over $100 after all said and done on my 6.5 quart Tundra taking 15 minutes to complete. I waited 2 minutes in my car for someone to notice I was waiting for service. Once I got out of my car to notify the worker doing a state inspection, he contacted the team inside. They directed me into the bay and proceeded to check under the hood and scan my vehicle's information. The worker told me that oil will be $62 for the cheaper oil (partial synthetic GTX High Mileage). I okayed the questionably high price. They checked my air filter and suggested a change. I okayed the $20 fee; Putting a dirty filter back into the air box could possibly bring dirt into the intake. As they attempted to be speedy and efficient, they stumbled on my air box; taking 3 men to force the box into place. It would have taken 1 man with finesse. They removed the oil filter from above, attempting to save time, but dropped it, leaving a oily mess on the splash guard below. The proper method would be to remove the splash guard and filter from below. They also forgot to top off the winshield washer fluid like they said they would... and forgot to close the top. They rang me up at a bit over $100, acknowledging that it took an additional 1.5 quarts which added to the initial $62 fee. I asked what they would have charged if I were to bring my own oil... they said about $25. SO, in conclusion, as most technicians know... speed costs more and may also sacrifice quality. I received sub par quality at 15 minutes. I could have bought the same oil at walmart at 10 quarts for $34; Fram oil filter for $3.88; amd air filter for $13. With the $25 labor, I could have spent ~$75. BUT the true caveat is the fact that a Toyota service center is even still cheaper than this place and does it right. read more

My brother took his vehicle this morning to get an oil change and they did the sloppiest job ever. Got home and actually checked to see if they had drained they old oil because leaving the premise it was leaking up until he got home but it was from mess they didn't even bother cleaning. . Verified that the oil was drained but they used the OLD oil filter instead of the new one he provided them with. read more

Please do not go here!!! I was paying $70 for an oil change for no one to tell me I was driving with no engine fluid or coolant for my A/C. Several times I would run out of oil before I was even due for an oil change. They were too busy trying to sell me an air filter or wind shield wipers which I must add they were squeaking after they installed them. Whew chile, I will never in life take my car back up there. The only thing that's good about this place is that it takes 15 minutes. But don't do it. Spare yourself the time & money. I wish I did but I was trying to save myself on time & end up costing more overall. Shame on me. But shame on them for a horrible job. Shiat. read more

I've been here a couple times now. I bought a 2006 pickup and needed a state inspection. The thing is 13 years old, and is running great but I had them check over everything to be sure since I just purchased it from an individual. I was expecting to be sold on all sorts of things, but to my surprise they only recommended an air filter change. That alone won my business, just not being sold on something I don't need. Two months later I rolled in for an oil change and got super fast service, the main cashier was very friendly, shame I didn't get his name. Once again they checked over everything as part of their routine. They recommended a couple different flushes but did not push the issue hard like other places. He said it's fine to wait a bit. I'll be going back next week for that service because of their honesty, a rare quality indeed. read more

Jason the manager got me set up with the oil change and cabin filter replacement. He offered me a bottle of cold water and some welches fruit snacks. Be very careful when you go into this place. My wife knows nothing about cars and went in with the instructions of getting an oil change. The manager double talked her into getting a synthetic oil change. I did not want or need a synthetic oil change. When I called him I found out the only put a synthetic blend in. The cost for this oil change was $60. No other services were given. I did have a coupon which gave me 25% off. That lowered the price to $47. I have never paid that much for an oil change in my life. Please go somewhere else. I took my car in for an oil change on a Monday and immediately my battery stopped working which never happened before. The workers had to jump it and it was fine. 2 Days later I start my car and something sounds like it fell then my car just stops turning on and come to find out it's my alternator and my belt broke! Keep in mind my car is fairly new and has never had this problem before at all. I reached out to this location and all they kept saying is that they do not touch anything but the oil so it's just a coincidence. I took my car to the mechanic and they stated the oil didn't even look changed, it was still dark and something wasn't tighten enough or oil was spilled. Please beware. Get an oil change somewhere that's not just 5 min so they don't overlook detail and mess up your car. read more

I called ahead for pricing but of course once I arrived it was different. I wasn't too happy about it but the gentleman offered a coupon to help out. I loved the fact that I didn't have to get out!
