Hello, my name is Ashley B. Let's get started with the review! I decided to get an oil change today after I received a $25 off coupon from take 5 via email. it was the best decision I had made because I've been putting this off for the past couple of days. I opted for the basic oil change which was originally $51. I used a $25 gift card so It brought the price down to about 32.85. I normally go with the $82 oil change but with this oil change, I will be changing it out after 3000 miles so that works for me, plus it keeps the price low. I gave this place. Four out of five stars because normally they would clean the windows and fill the tires with air and even give you a cold bottle of water but it seems that take 5 has gotten away from this. I don't hold the guys to this standard because I know they are working hard all day in the heat and need some type of break. My thing is don't start something that you cannot finish on each oil change. Maybe hire more people if this would even help, but it's lagging in that department of other stuff that will basically keep the business running more smooth. Anyway, that's my take on things. You wouldn't believe what racist and inconsiderate thing happened today. My mother dropped her car off this morning at a Chevron Xpress shop to get a diagnostic check and what happened after was inhumane. When we went to pick the car up, my mom paid them, they gave her the key and the car wouldn't start. I asked the man working there what happened? We never had an issue with the battery. He said, I don't know. I asked him why wouldn't he help us and he said the manager told him not to. So we had to charge our car in 98-100 degree heat while the employees we paid to help us with the car cussed me out because I was concerned about my mother's car. I'm sending the video I took of this occurrence to the media. People need to know that the white men who work at Havoline Chevron Xpress on Mason Road in Katy, Texas can careless about a senior citizen black woman who has been a customer of this location for 10 years. She has been a loyal customer of theirs and it's heartbreaking to know they will ruin her car and cuss us out at the same time. Wow! I literally just left this place like 5 minutes ago and had to write a review as soon as I got home! All the mechanics are so nice and took such great care of me. Turns out the person who did my oil before this used a broken (and complete different) drain screw and they replaced it no problem! Last time i came here the men with piercings were very kind to me. I came in to get an oil change again from my trusty shop. Usually they come out especially if it's empty and there was only one car in the bay. I waited and an old white man with a hat came and says can i help you??? and throws his hands in the air at me. Went about a month ago to get an oil change everything seemed okay for a while until i was on the freeway and suddenly hear what sounded like a loud static noise. when i pull over to see what was wrong the metal plate they take out to do the oil change was missing multiple screws and the remaining screws were almost all loose, the plate was scraping across the concrete while i was driving trying to get to a safe exit. not a single person from this take 5 let me know they lost the screws rather i was forced to find out later. when i call the number provided a automated message says it will direct me to someone to help and every time it just hangs up. i was forced to pay for their mistakes that they never thought to inform me about. will NOT be coming back. For what i paid the end result was not worth it in any way. find somewhere else if you need a oil change the risk isn't worth it. read more

Do not take your vehicle to this location. My daughter got a oil change and they did not put the oil cover panel back on the vehicle correctly. My daughter called me saying that the car was making a noise when she drives. She is away at college and I instructed her to take the car back to the dealership. Come to find out they did not put the cover panel back on and it needed to be replaced. I called and spoke to the shop manager and the first thing out his mouth was if you look at the back of the receipt it says..... and since you took it to the dealership we can't help you. I came around 4:30 ish to get my state inspection, the line wasn't very long but there was a mechanic that was rude the entire time I was there. When I pulled into the parking lot he gave me vague instructions on where I needed to go, When I wasn't going where he wanted he got disrespectful. They were super nice, directed me to nearby choices who could do it and gave me a coupon for a free oil change- I said "I have synthetic blend though" Oh, well then its just a $20 charge for a change! Wow, he was a super nice guy, I didn't catch his name, they certainly didn't have to give me a coupon but wow how nice. the Synthetic blend my truck takes is not a cheap change near my house pushing $50-$60 so I will try them out since these guys are near work and then see what their regular price is for the oil change for my truck- may stick with them. read more

I came here to get my wife's car oil changed. They are even open on Sunday so I figured they would not be crowded and I was right. I was able to pull right in. If you look them up online there are a variety of coupons for different services that you can obtain. I got the oil change one that gives you $7 off. I sat in the waiting room and watched a little tv. It isn't cable so there isn't much variety. While I was waiting 3 more people came in to wait , I think 1 was getting vehicle inspection the rest oil changes. After several minutes my car was ready and I paid with my discount and was able to leave. We have 4 cars and trucks and we bring them all here for inspections and oil changes. They usually do a good job and are pretty friendly with me. The only fault that I have was they did not reset my computer that tracks when I need the next oil change. read more

Went to get my vehicle inspected the other day. I was told an inspection could not be done because the fuse that powered my cigarette lighter/charging port was blown. I needed to replace it. They completely overlooked the fact I have another charger in the middle of the console for them to run diagnostics on my vehicle for an inspection. These guys are rude. They were extremely short with me. They were not helpful and tried to con me. I saw them ask other guests what services they wanted. I saw them fill other guests tires with air while they waited. They took about 5 mins on my car and them tried to double charge me. This was my first time going and I will not be going back. Treat all of your customers equally. Be of service. Be helpful. No need to be rude because I have a coupon. There were other services I would have happily paid for had you given me the opportunity. This is the first time I've come here with a cloth interior. My mistake, I guess I should have had seat covers on my ARM REST. The only thing in the front without a cover gets dirty! They know what they did. If they had only had the decency to refund me for my oil change, I wouldn't be so mad. But no such courtesy. I haven't even had this car for a year.
