People came in after me who did not have appointments or who did not have maintenance needs nearly as simple as I did and still left before me. They service men faster than they will help women. And I was grossly overcharged. Do not go there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clearly, unlike the rest of the free world appointment is merely a notice of imminent arrival. A LONG READ, BUT I PROMISE IT IS WORTH IT! Excellent work, fair prices, honest shop -- Cinco Car Care earned my trust! I don't usually write long reviews, but when a place goes above and beyond like Cinco Car Care did, they deserve the recognition. I first called them to check pricing on a few repairs I already knew my 2006 Honda needed. The quote they gave over the phone matched pretty closely to what I'd been told by a trusted mechanic in another state -- so I decided to give them a shot. I went in, met with the team, and we agreed on the work. They didn't pressure me, and everything felt upfront and professional. We scheduled the repair for Tuesday, and I dropped the car off Monday evening. By Tuesday afternoon, the car was done -- and to be clear, they didn't promise that turnaround. They said best-case scenario it would be ready by then since they hadn't worked on my vehicle before, and I appreciated that honesty. Still, they delivered. When I picked up my car, the proposal matched what we discussed on the phone -- no surprises. Even better, they included the 18-month/18,000-mile warranty on the receipt, which was important to me. They also ran a full inspection as a courtesy to make sure there weren't any urgent safety issues I wasn't aware of. That kind of care says a lot. They ended up replacing my power steering rack and pinion, both inner tie rods (which were cracked), and the lower control arms on both sides. Pricing was reasonable and in line with what I expected. Night and day difference. When I drove home, every weird noise I'd been hearing was gone -- especially the crunching sound I used to get on sharp left or right turns. I took it on the freeway to test the alignment they completed with the repair, and it tracked perfectly. Steering now feels tight and responsive, exactly how it should. Also worth noting: they're AAA Certified, which is not easy to get. AAA has strict standards for quality, transparency, and customer service -- so that badge isn't just a sticker on the door, it means they meet some of the highest benchmarks in the industry. That gave me extra peace of mind. I'll definitely be using Cinco Car Care for regular maintenance going forward, and fingers crossed I won't need more repairs anytime soon -- but if I do, they'll be my first call. I brought my 2008 Ford Escape on a Monday morning with a totally dead battery. I informed them I believed the alternator was bad and killed the battery. By closing on Tuesday, they only replaced the battery - told me the two-year-old battery was over-sulfated (which did not make sense). Drove it on Wednesday and it seemed to struggle when starting when I did my errands. Thursday morning, the battery was drained to the point it would not start the car. Brought it back that day. It was not until Friday (again end of day) that the alternator was indeed bad. Saturday, they ordered the wrong part, and it was too late in the day (again) to do anything else, so it sat over the weekend. Finally, one week later and $750, I was able to pick up my car. Did I mention that they replaced the alternator just two years ago and it took them three tries for some reason. They apparently only have one technician for these types of jobs, so repairs are very slow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They misdiagnosed my car in the first place, took a really long time to fix it, charged me quite a bit and offered no apology for the screw ups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The battery and alternator are under warranty - that will be the only reason I will go back to them; anything else I will take my vehicle somewhere else. I scheduled to take my truck in today to CCC to have them check the tension pulleys as they had replaced my drive belts and AC belt in April of 2024, and it was discovered the pulleys were loose when I had my oil changed at Christian Brothers in Magnolia about a week earlier. Since CCC had replaced the belts, I thought it may be covered under the warranty which Adam confirmed it could be, so wanted them to do the work to replace the pulleys. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I took a day of vacation to go to CCC as I live over 40 miles away, and had my truck dropped off by 08:00. I had an appointment, so this was not a walk-in situation[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to arrange for a friend who lives nearby to come pick me up since CCC's shuttle wasn't an option.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]By 11:00 am I had not heard back from anyone so called CCC to check to see what they had found and was told by Keshawn (sp?) they had not looked at my truck yet. Keshawn said he would call as soon as he knew anything. By 1:00 pm I still had heard nothing so called again[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. This time I was told by Keshawn that it would be at least another 1 1/2 hours before they could get to my truck to do the assessment and that I should go ahead a get a rental car as they would not have it finished today. I asked if I did this would it be ready by Friday and they could not guarantee it would. Also, was told this was not covered under any warranty so was going cost a few hundred dollars. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was, and am angry as made the appointment in advance, they knew exactly what the issue was, and know I come from a long way to have them work on the truck.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So wasted an entire day only to still have a problem my truck that needs to be repaired. I called Christian Brothers in Magnolia, and they can get my truck in tomorrow, have already ordered the parts and said it will be finished tomorrow and gave me a discounted price. And will give me a ride home and come pick me up when the truck is ready. I cannot recommend CCC after this experience as they had no consideration for me as the customer and the inconvenience they caused. I used to love this place. I even talked my parents into coming here. Not anymore. Mike tried to talk me into a nearly $400 repair- replacing spark plugs that had already been replaced. I called back and gave Mike the chance to recant; he wouldn't. Such a shame. A couple of weeks before, they talked my dad into a transmission fluid change that he didn't need yet. Neighborhood car repair business with quick, friendly service. We had been back from vacation for a few weeks, and noticed that I had a slow leak on one of the front tires. I could see a nail sticking-out from the tire, so I decided to get it fixed before work. After waiting in the nearby Firestone for 5 minutes without anyone coming to the front desk to talk to me, I got back in the car and gave CCC a call. I told them what the problem was, and they estimated it would take about 30 minutes to get me fixed. As I arrived, the place looked busy. Two guys were manning the phones at the front desk. Although only one customer was waiting in the small waiting area, several folks came in to get their cars and drop-off their cars. This looks like a popular neighborhood auto repair spot. I have only written one review in my life, and this makes two. I ran over a tire today on the highway (and am a single woman) so I pulled in to their shop (never been there before) with my 4 year old to see if they could make sure there was no serious damage. It was 5:15 and I was expecting to get pushed away... Not only did they immediately lift my car and check it, but they showed me all the scratches and assured me it was ok and then replaced two clips that held up plastic- all free of charge. AND my daughter got a balloon. They were SO kind! I offered to pay for the clips and/or their time and they said no. I will most definitely go back there for car work after they did me such a favor! I've have taken my personal vehicles and my company work truck to CCC. Mike and the crew there have been professional and courteous with each visit. When I took my person vehicle to get repaired the turn around time was quick and the problem was handled. A week later we had another issue come up on the car and they took care of it under warranty work. It is really nice to know that CCC stands behind their work. My work truck had to have some vacuum line work and CCC kept us in the loop on all the issues( getting parts from the dealer) so that we would continually know what the progress was during repairs. Ripoff place. For a simple window glass regulator fix, I was quoted $550. I was told the panel needs to be opened to tell what the problem is. The rear left window glass had dropped down and was not rolling up. If only I googled before going there I would have known the symptom points to a regulator gone bad. While on the call with Jim, I looked up online and found the part costs $100 so $450 for labor??? I asked him to put it back together so I could do it myself. He charged me $100 for a 10 min remove and put back door panel which is ridiculous. I purchased the part online for $100 & was able to do the job in 15 mins by myself following YouTube instructions. I had an AC issue in my Bimmer. I took my car in and was told the AC blower and resistor went bad. They fixed the problem with timely manner and staff was pretty helpful. I was going to recommend my friend having similar issue to take her Bimmer in, but when I told the price to my friend, she laughed and told me I was ripped off for sure. The labor for me was over $500, she said she had a price quoted from BMW dealership, it was estimated with $225 for labor. She told me she learned it wouldn't take more than even 2 hours to change the motor and resistor. Prior to switching to Cinco Car Care, we tried several different shops, but always felt that unnecessary repairs were done or that the repairs that were done weren't done well. Adam and his team at Cinco Car Care have always been honest and up front about their repair recommendations and the work has always been top notch. We have always been treated courteously at Cinco Car Care. If we prefer to drop off our vehicle, Adam has a courtesy car take us home while our car is being diagnosed, inspected or repaired. We always get a phone call explaining any problems found and exactly what repairs will be needed. The price quoted over the phone is always the price we're charged. There are never any mystery charges that appear at the last minute. They send a car to pick us up when the work is done, as well. At those times that I chose to wait for my vehicle, for a simple oil change for example, the waiting room is always clean and comfortable and hot coffee is always available. We have had Adam and his crew evaluate vehicles prior to purchasing them, and they have saved us from making a couple of major car purchase mistakes. They charged me $99 for diagnostic on my Audi A4 and told me that I need new compressor/ dryer, etc. for $2000. We have taken two different older cars to them for service and have been extremely happy with both. Both were older cars that my kids drive. The first was a mustang that we took in for some routine service and they were honest in what needed to be done and were fair in what they charged. The work was down right. The car was then out of state for a couple of years. My son was getting ready to drive the vehicle to the Northwest and I wanted it safe for the road. I took it back to them and I told them what I wanted. They had the car for a day and went through it fully. They called me with the list of things that needed to be done to make it road worthy, and the cost. They told me they did not think it was worth the cost and that I may want to think twice about spending the money (many shops would have seen this as an opportunity to get paid a lot). They were honest and said they would do the work but felt I would be paying more than the car was worth. I decided to take their advice and trade the car for something better for my son. I went and picked it up and they DID NOT charge me anything for assessing the car in depth. That had actually taken some parts apart to check and there was no charge! Subsequently I brought my youngest sons Yukon in for service before he headed off the school. They went through the vehicle and gave me a list of things that needed to be done now and things that would be good to do, but could wait. The car was going to be out of state for the year and their recommendations took this into consideration. We did what we felt was needed and the cost was fair. This shop is run by honest folks and they have earned my trust. When you find someone who operates a business like this its really appreciated. This has got to be the most unprofessional and incompetent auto mechanic shop that I've ever taken a vehicle to. They misdiagnosed 3 times. The owner Adam labeled me as one of those who want something for nothing, just like Obama (exact words). I was told a squeaking noise was the serpentine belt, then the pulley, then the water pump, then the alternator clutch. Adam was very unprofessional during the entire process. He also refused to give me a printout of all the things that was done to the car (I have never left a shop without a printout). We took our 10 yr old vehicle in for a repair because a warning light came on. We did not want to put a lot of money into a car that will be traded soon but this was a must. The estimate was very high but we agreed to the repair. While the work was being done, we called several reapir shops in the area and got estimates for the same repair that were up to $300 less. Recently took a truck there to have the egr valve replaced and they charged a huge markup on the part. I was charged $147 for a $100 part. A 50% markup on parts is ridiculous. Don't go here unless you want to overpay for parts. read more
