I need a tire for my new Mustang -could not repair tire that was no good. They quickly sold me a tire that was same size, etc., as the others on the car. Tire replaced was on left front side of car. What they did not tell me was that they should have rotated front and back tires to have mismatched tire on the back of the car. Not really looking out for my best interests. read more

Today I took my wife's 05 Mustang in to see about front end alignment due to her left tire balding on inner side (tire slightly loose). The manager on duty at Tire Kingdom Lady Lake (The Villages), Florida took the car in for alignment but DID NOT bother to come get me or call me (waiting in their show room) to tell me that "although we did the alignment for which you are being charged $88, Tire Kingdom cannot guarantee it since your car has front outer and inner tie rods coming loose. To fix the tie rod issue will be $425 to get it done correctly." So I was still required to pay the $88 for a totally worthless alignment and took my wife's car to our own mechanic which one hour later said, "I don't know what the F__ they (Tire Kingdom) is talking about, your tie rods are perfectly fine, but your one ball joint on the front left is bad, but we'll have to replace both left and right ball joints just like we'd have to do with a break job. That will only be $300," said Michael my mechanic, at Michael's Automotive shop in Fruitland Park. So now My mechanic is fixing the mustang correctly. He didn't lie, cheat me or steal money from me like Tire Kingdom did. I would NEVER ever take my personal car to any TIRE KINGDOM ever again, let alone the one in Lady Lake, Florida as they intentionally outright lied to me as to what was wrong with my car in hopes that I'd act like a typical stupid "villager" and simply accept what they told me at face value--which no one should ever do. It is my personal opinion the Tire Kingdom franchise's cannot be trusted, and do not do a good job, at least for me, so I say to all Buyer Beware. By way, I also called their customer service line at Tire Kingdom HQ in Juno Beach, Florida which basically just blew me off when I asked for a refund.....BAD COMPANY.....BAD BUSINESS.....REMEMBER THE NAME "TIRE KINGDOM"....it should be "TIRE 6-6-6" This is my personal opinion about what I consider to be a unethical franchise. Just remember...before you do business with any firm check out Yelp.com and their consumer ratings....I failed to do this...wish I had. I would have found out that this company has an abysmal track record. NOW A DAY LATER.....I called the franchise store manger, Mr. David Anderson, and explained what happened to me by one of his mechanics and the on duty manager, and he apologized profusely stating that his mechanic made a big mistake in judgement and analysis, but did not mean to mislead me....David issued me a full refund for $88 for the alignment that should NEVER have been done, and again apologized. I thank David, but still believe that Tire Kingdom has MAJOR ISSUES when you read as many BAD reports as exist on the WEB. read more

Took the used car that i'd just bought in to them for an oil change and inspection, specifically of a radiator hose leak. They claimed i had a faulty engine valve cover that was leaking oil and quoted me $225 to fix. Took it to an honest mechanic who thoroughly inspected it and found no such leak. He fixed the corroded radiator hose for $40. Feels like i was being taken for a ride at Tire Kingdom. Would not go back there. read more

Feel totally ripped off (is that really news coming from an auto care place?). Came in because car would only start intermittently. Tested battery and said that it needed to be replaced. Paid $155 - Got in car and wouldn't start. All of a sudden, the mechanic says it's the starter. I had to wait until the next day, missed a paid day of work because these guys couldn't figure out what was really wrong. Then, I search the internet for a starter for my car and the most I saw was $200- I got charged $370 plus $105 for labor. Maybe because I'm a woman? Maybe because they knew I had to have it fixed? Either way, I will not be back and urge you folks to stay away unless you want to be taken advantage of. read more

I was excited to get my new tires at the price I was quoted with the rebate! After the rebate it would have been a great deal. This is where it begins. I went in and once again verified that my tires qualified. They did. I leave the car and got a call that they were going to have to break one of the studs to take my wheel off and my car needed a lot of work. I expected this call and laughed it off. I was quoted $88.00 to replace the broken stud that was most probably ruined by a tech in a hurry with the air impact. Seen it before and done it myself. $5.00 later I saved myself the $88.00 I was quoted. Well the call goes on that I need new brakes hubs and so on. I am in for tires but figured that I would order the parts and have a fun Saturday afternoon of it. Well let's just say that one of the hubs needed to be replaced and all of the brakes were in fair to good order. Well ok. I have the parts for later. I now got an e mail stating that my tires do not qualify for the rebate! I called and asked and asked when I dropped off the car. I have to say that this is the reason that I work on my own cars. A simple tire change turned into this. I did not mention that the care was not taken to properly face my rims in their respective direction. All in all I have to say that it was worth the extra parts and lost rebate to confirm what I have been told. Stay away from Tire Kingdom! read more

Called on Saturday. Asked about two tires. The gentleman on the phone was polite, gave me a good quote. I told him I was having problems getting my old tire off to put the spare on, I would try to get it in today but it might be tomorrow (Sunday) he said not a problem, to just bring it in when I could. I wasn't able to get the tire off until Sunday morning. I called to let them know I was coming. When I got in they pulled up my quote and then said they were booked for the day, but I could schedule an appointment for sometime in the week. Mind you have I was only getting two tires. No alignment or anything else. Just the tires mounted and balanced. That service is unacceptable. I was told to come in when I could. I will never go back to this establishment. I would like to thank the store reps,managers, and mechanics. I have recently visited this store 3 times in the last 4 months and i must say exceptional service!! I'm a women and i dont know much about cars but Joshua and Kyle are sure to explain in a way i can understand.I've had flats left and right. Arrived this past Sunday at 8:15am to check my tire which was low on air. They open at 9am. I returned around 8:50 as I wanted to be first in line and I live about 140 miles from here. They opened the front door a couple of minutes early, took my car and 34 minutes later I was on my way. I cannot say enough about this experience and if my wife and I decide to move to this area, I would have no qualms about returning. This place is great! I initially chose them, because they were a Tire Rack recommended location. I also liked the reviews. I am new to the area. I had a very slow tire leak which they repaired at no charge (just needed re-sealed). Dustin was super as were the other guys. I've gone to Tire Kingdom for 3 years and thought I could trust them. However, I had an issue that popped up when I was out running errands so I decided to just stop by and have them test why it was taking a little longer to start my car and the engine light had just come on. Someone came out (I don't normally work with this guy) and tested my car and told me it was my alternator and would be over $400 to fix. I asked if there were any other options to help make it cheaper, he kept saying no until I told him I had called around and found it for a hundred cheaper, then he tried but was still more expensive. I ended up going to Sumter Tire & Auto and when I picked up my car, they told me they tried and tried but my alternator was not the problem, my battery had gone bad. I ended up paying less than half what Tire Kingdom was going to charge me. It's a good thing I got a second opinion because this guy was going to rip me off! I had just gotten my oil changed and asked them to check things out a few weeks earlier and they didn't catch this. I thought they could be trusted but I will not go back to this place...beware that they don't try and rip you off! read more

I would give a lower rating if possible- I have a lot of experience with garages and mechanics. Most of the time I do my own work. My wife bought a battery from Tire Kingdom - while battery was under warranty it failed. I checked the battery on my load tester before going to Tire Kingdom to have the battery replaced (under warranty) As usual they pro rated the battery and installed an "exact replacement" . When the car was brought out I discovered the 800 amp battery had been replaced with a 600 amp battery - with the "warranty" and pro rating this 600amp battery was much more than it would have cost me to buy a new 800 amp battery from WalMart- The young man checking us out apparently got so upset when my wife brought this to his attention- which he initially tried to dispute with such convoluted logic I finally had enough and explained 600amps vs 800amps - their pro rated "warranty" price vs WalMart's new price (with warranty) he stormed out of sight only to have someone else complete the checkout - Unprofessional is saying the least - As for pricing and "warranty" I blamed that solely on Tire Kingdom Corp - I have never and would never use this company - had she not gone there while I was away we never would have had this experience- which actually in retrospect I am kind of glad we did I want everyone to know not all garages are bad but, unfortunately some are make sure you do your homework first and check with friends or people your trust as well as read the reviews,-- I left the battery in the car (mostly laziness on my part)-- but you can bet the next battery will not be purchased at any Tire Kingdom store . read more
