I try to go first thing in the morning so there is never a wait for my car to get worked on. The waiting room is clean and comfortable enough to wait for a while, while my car was getting it's oil changed. I feel that the service providers are all friendly and polite. I appreciate that they let me know if my car needs other services such as new wind shield wipers, fluids, filters, etc. But I never feel pressured to purchase these items from them (though I usually end up doing that so it gets done). And the cherry on top of my service visit is that they vacuum out my car which always makes it feel 10x cleaner when I get back in.

Ok so months and months ago I went to Metro and typed out a very long review....I just deleted that…read moreone and starting this one lol. Just didn't feel like that last one was...right. I mean, what I said about this place and the staff was what I wanted to say, but yeah, something was off with the review. I know as I write if I'm gonna love what I've written or if I'll write one and then put in drafts. I'm weird, I know lol. Few weeks ago, the roommate and I went back here for an oil change. Sooo now I can write a review, a more updated one even if I say things very similar to my first review that I just deleted lol. Jake and Tyler run this place and they're fn amazing. Jake, as long as we have been going to him as always gone above and beyond to make you happy. The guy is amazing. Tyler, if I remember correctly, came along later (when they worked at Einstein's) and happy he did come along and happy he is now at Metro after Vavoline bought Einstein's...which was a shame because Vavoline sucks...that's for another review that I'll never do because I'll never go there lol. Metro is literally 30 mins from my house. So that aspect...well, it sucks lol. Have an old truck and during the summer it doesn't do too well with the heat. We still drive over to Metro regardless tho because we know we will get amazing service from an incredible staff of guys who know what they are doing and who actually really enjoy what they are doing. You go, you'll see what I'm talking about. The drive to Metro is totally worth it, it would be cool tho if they open a shop in Boise tho (wink, wink lol. I'd use the emoji instead of the creepy "wink" word, but Yelp doesn't allow emojis lol) One saying I've always heard in commercials and whatnot and have always thought "what a line of bullshit" hahaha is "we treat you like family" Metro, I don't think uses that cringe line, but they actually do treat you like family or like y'all have been friends for years. Yeah we have known Jake for awhile, but I have seen him interact with others and he is just as incredible and friendly with them as he is with us, as is the rest of the staff. Jake keeps us coming back tho. Great guy, service is always on point and prices here are perfect. They don't overcharge you or try to guilt you into buying something you DON'T need like so many of these places do. So even though they may not be 3 mins from my house like they used to be, the drive to Meridian to get the help/service from them is worth it. Jake and Tyler are the best. So happy Jake was able to get his own shop, he deserves it. I won't make this too long, so I guess ima end it there. I'm afraid if I go any longer, Yelp will cut me off. They always have a subtle way of telling me to "stfu already" hahahaha because my reviews tend to be a tad longer than most...I mean, why write a short one? They got her right in, the service was top notch, and the cost was extremely reasonable (she had done a little research on the issue ahead of time). She will absolutely go back to Meineke any time she needs work done. Many mechanics would have taken advantage of her inexperience, I am thankful Meineke treats their customers otherwise.

The next morning, Feb. 14, the tow truck driver towed my SUV to Meineke Car Care Center, 9688 W. Fairview Ave., Boise. The manager at Meineke called me late that afternoon to say he hadn't had yet put my car up on a hoist, but I would obviously need a new tire and he suggested replacing all four because they were 75% worn. I asked what brand of tires he would suggest, and he said "Cooper." I agreed to four new tires, and the manager told me the "out the door" price, which included the alignment, was $687. The next morning, I spoke with another employee in the shop to ascertain exactly which Cooper tire would be put on, and I was told "Discoverer Endura Max." Again, I questioned the price and it was confirmed at $687. On the afternoon of Feb. 15, I picked up my car and was stunned when the employee at the counter charged me $790! I told him I had twice confirmed the cost and was told it was $687. In a very surly manner, he said, "OK, I'll give you the alignment free." I replied that I didn't want him to give me anything free. I simply wanted to pay the quoted price. He adjusted the bill to $690, which I paid. I asked if there was any warranty information on the tires, and he replied that it was "in the computer." Again, I asked for a written warranty, and he said nothing was available. The receipt I was given states Cooper 235/5 Cooper 235/55R18. When I googled this product description, it says that these tires are Cooper Endeavor Plus All-Season. I had been told initially that the tires were Cooper Discoverer Endura Max. Here are the problems I asked the shop in writing to clarify, but got no response: · The manager telling me I needed four new tires without even putting my car up on the hoist. · The price quoted was $687; the price when I picked up the car was $790. · No warranty information given to me. · Different tires were put on than what was quoted to me. I am a disabled 65-year-old woman, and I give everyone the benefit of the doubt. I treat people fairly and expect the same in return. However, in my dealings with this Meineke shop, I left feeling like it was a shady business and I wondered if I'd been taken advantage of. Maybe that's not the case, but it's how I felt. I assume that this is not the image that Meineke wants to project, but they did not bother to address my concerns.

While they were doing it he asked for my card. He rang it up and when I signed i noticed it was 379$ I asked why and he answered because its 120$ per diferential. He had said they were doing a special. Pretty shifty if you ask me. I wont be back. He told about how other places technicians have to do at least 2 up sales per day. To be honest he did the exact same thing to me. I cant afford almost 400$ while he is using only 100$ of materials making 260 dollars for 15 minutes of work.
