Where to start.... I'm not one to leave reviews, especially negative. I'm not one for conflict as it never comes to a positive outcome in the end but this place, this place is a waste of prime real estate. 100% the shadiest crew I've dealt with in my years of existence. Before I drove into the pit, I was adamant on mobile 1 full synthetic. I didn't ask for opinions. I asked for a product that is supposedly offered. I was told okay and instructed into the bay. Come to find out, they were out. Against my request and wants, I was talked into pennzoil platinum. "All oil is the same" No, it's not but go ahead. Still a decent oil. I was already there, let's just get it done. As I sit there and watch 2 of the techs walk around lost on what they're looking for, the third was instructed to go ahead and drain. A couple minutes after the tech draining oil was down in the pit, the two techs on the ground had a couple little power meetings in front of the car talking real quiet. Come to find out, they're "somehow out of the platinum oil too, all we have is our brand". Right, of course that's what's going on. My first question was is the oil already drained with the response was yes it is. Come on people. All you do is oil changes. You know what you're out of. You know you were out of mobile one. You know you were out of pennzoil platinum. Whether you believe all oil is the same or not, the business practice that was pushed is by far the shadiest way to do business. I'll admit, I was given a discount which ended up being, what I believe, it's just the full price for the house brand oil. Discounted from the oil I wanted, yes. Not the point in this equation. I know nothing will come of this review but everyone deserves to know how this place does business before you waste your time and money. 8/16:25 ~7:30 pm. First time customer and will definitely be back and will recommend due to the professional, trustworthy/reliable, and personable techs as well as accurate work on vehicle. Gabe and Skyler serviced my vehicle. They both were professional and personable as well as gave my dog some attention. I wanted an oil change, new air filter, wipers along with coolant check. Gabe agreed with everything except air filter and showed me it was still in good condition in which after I looked, I agreed. Gabe also showed the coolant was just showing signs of weakening but also would last a bit longer also. That built a level of trust to start with. If we just had more techs like this. I have over 328k on my Explorer and turning over responsibility for servicing to others, it's nice to find a team I can trust. That makes this a great value! The service was accurate and after I got home I saw no issues but one, wrong email that I will correct tomorrow. I also like the warranties for any issues. I have been servicing my vehicles at this location for the past year and, up until February 2, 2026, I was satisfied with the work being done. Unfortunately, on that date, Take 5 made a serious mistake during my oil change--approximately 5 quarts of oil erupted out of the reservoir like a volcano. Despite this, the staff did not take the necessary steps to properly address the issue before sending me on my way. The next morning, I noticed fluid on the ground beneath my vehicle. I immediately called the store, but no one answered. I drove there in person and was told that no manager was available, and the staff made it clear they did not want to be involved. I was instructed to return at a later date. I then contacted their corporate office, which provided minimal assistance, though they did notify the local District Sales Manager (DSM). He called me the day after my visit. When we met, he apologized, inspected the vehicle, and found excessive oil throughout the engine bay and chassis. He cleaned both areas and assured me the vehicle should be fine. The following day, the leaking continued. I reached out to the DSM again, and he informed me he would file a claim with their insurance company on my behalf. Now, a month and a half later, neither the insurance company nor Take 5 has taken responsibility or provided any resolution. My vehicle has been sitting at the mechanic's shop and will not be released until their bill is paid. I have escalated this issue to Take 5's executive team and filed complaints with the BBB in hopes of finally resolving this fiasco. My recommendation to future customers: avoid taking your vehicle to any of there locations. Yes, the oil changes may be quick, but the risk of damage--and the lack of accountability if something goes wrong--is simply not worth it. Additionally, their staff is not ASE certified. For the small amount you might save, you're likely better off going to your dealership. read more

Extremely disappointed. They refused to provide a reminder sticker claiming it's "new policy." How can an oil change shop not tell you when to come back for service? I'm not going to mess up my car not knowing when it's due for an oil change based on the oil they used. On top of that, they completely butchered my customer profile--the receipt had a different last name and an out-of-state address. After years of coming here, I'm done. Had an oil change performed, and when I got home oil was leaking from my truck and had leaked onto my driveway. I went back to the store and they "double checked everything". Turns out one of the people doing oil changes decided to pour oil all down my engine bay and not clean it up. I wouldn't come here to pay more money for an oil change than other places, it'll result in a bigger headache. read more

Quick service even though it was busy due to it being a holiday. Vincent was my tech and Tony in the pit underneath the car. Was given a cold bottle of water and sat in car while the oil change was completed. I chose Mobil 1 as is my preference. No up-sells as I was told filters looked good - and away I went in about 15 minutes. Great value considering you drive in and drive out with no fuss. read more

$95 was the most I've ever paid for a synthetic oil change. I was trying to do this before having to go to work. Then the guy continued to rub his dirty fingers on my clean air filter trying to hard sale me when I kept telling him no. I'll never be going back for an over priced oil change with pushy oil changing salesman. I had to tell them I'm running late to work bc they wouldn't stop trying to sell me. If I could give more than five stars I would. I had the best oil change experience with Brian. I read the other reviews and was surprised to see the upsell which is a complete opposite of my experience today. I went to go get an oil change, but he was upfront and said that I did not need one. Instead, I got my top off with zero charge and a couple of cold water to go. Will definitely come back when it's time. read more

I arrived a few moments before they opened, and Brian still took me early. The service was great and oil change was finished in 15 minutes, including topping off fluids and tire pressure. You pay a bit more here versus going to a dealership, but the convenience, location and service make it worth paying a little more! I highly recommend Take 5 here at WGV! read more

Came in for an oil change and I know what my car needs. The seemed to be manager kept on pushing for the more expensive full synthetic oil but i refused. He called me and my mother idiots. When I tried to pay they wouldn't accept my cash because there "wasn't enough change in the till." Will never come back here and please watch out for the upselling their people do. read more

I was excited that this just opened near my home in St Augustine but we wont be back. The guy tried to hide that they offered an economy oil change. He tried to scare me and said that my engine will burn out I Haven't lost an engine yet. They pushed and pushed for me to get the synthetic oil, which my car does not need and has never had. He was so mad that I didn't get it and refused to accept the coupon they sent. I wanted to leave but they already drained my oil. I'll continue visiting his competitors that gladly take and appreciate the $60 without BSing me. read more
