We were there for an oil change on my husband's High Country. Friendly service; offered us waters . We had a coupon for $25 off; my husband called and it was offered; so a great value. . It's also nice that you can stay in your vehicle. We were 3rd in line and one of the bays was not operational, so it was a bit long, like 45 minutes just to get in for the oil change. Another car who arrived about 30 mins after us in another lane was able to get into the bay before us... they don't have the ability to change that once you're in each lane... but they apologized and tried to get us in as soon as possible. He needed 8 gallons of synthetic so the price of each gallon changed after 5 gallons. The bill came to $124 total with the discount. read more

Horrible customer service! I will never go back again. My boyfriend took my car to get my oil changed for me. He forgot to use the coupon I sent him. The service was done 45 min. ago. I called and spoke to the store, they said they could not handle this at their level so I was transferred to a customer service line. The woman, who conveniently did not give me her name, should not be working customer service. I understand my bf forgot to use the coupon, but as a 1 time courtesy refused to update the payment. Within 1 hour of having service done. I just moved here, they are literally right around the corner from me and could've had my business for the lifetime of my new car. This is my go-to for oil changes. Close to work, quick, and they offer a 25% discount for veterans. When compared to Jiffy Lube, cost is similar, you only lose out on the interior vacuuming. What you do gain is the knowledge on how to reset your car because they walk you through it. read more

I usually do not use Take 5 when getting my oil changed but I was searching for the best price and I had called the store and they ended up sending me a $15 off coupon to use. With that being said, I pulled up and was offered water, which I thought was nice, and then they told me for full synthetic oil it would be $84.99... with my $15 off coupon it should have been around $70. When I asked about the coupon, they told me that it wasn't applicable to the oil change. I tried explaining that I had literally called less than an hour before arriving to get the coupon-- it was STILL denied. They were continuously trying to upsell me different things and honestly, as a woman, I feel more susceptible to falling into these kind of situations. One of the men helping me told me that one of the air filters is like the "breath" of the car (made it really dramatic by telling me that my car can't breathe though Ive never even heard of this filter in the 4 years Ive owned my vehicle) and told me it needed to be replaced--- I ended up getting quoted at $25 to replace the air filter, that I guess my car couldn't live without?? The staff were also trying to sell me new windshield wipers (that I replaced not that long ago) and a different air filter. Ultimately, I came in expecting to pay around $75-$80 but drove out paying nearly $140. When I left I felt like I had been manipulated by paying DOUBLE of what I had intended to pay. I double checked the receipt later and saw that they had charged me $50 for the air filter instead of $25!! I called back up and was helped by a man (I believe his name was Ken?) and he was very friendly and was trying his best to make things right. He was trying to get me a refund for half of the air filter price ($25) but told me that they couldn't do it. He decided to give me my next oil change for free (an $89.99 value) so I felt okay about that but was still disappointed that I couldn't have my money back right away. The 3 stars that are given are for him making an effort to fix the situation. When I go to get my free oil change from Take 5, I will be going to a different location and this will likely be the last time I use this chain. read more

When I first drove up, I was told the oil change is 89.99. I then asked for Mobil 1 oil. And they changed my filter, For $27. With a $7 off coupon they charged me $157. I told them I don't want the Mobil 1 anymore. The 89.99 was already high. They gave me a sticker for 3000 miles even though I paid for an oil that is synthetic which is good for 6000 miles. They said oh you can come back and have them top you off, but they will say your due for another oil change. I'm the type of person where you take good care of me, I will talk you up. You try to take advantage of me , because I'm a woman or whatever, I will also let people know, so they are not taken advantage of. Though it was done in 5 minutes, they did the job fast. They said they can't check my other fluids because they are sealed. Not sure what that even means. If I'm paying you for a $118 service to do a job, do a full job. I've never been told you can't check my other fluids. They did change my filters and asked about my wipers, which were brand new. They had high Yelp reviews, so I was impressed with so many good reviews, but sad for the price I received. Not $55 or less, like I read on the reviews prior! They do have a military discount, of 25%. But that is still not $55 or less. Nor was I in the military, but good on them for having the discount. By now, we have all come to expect the upsell at these places. I do not begrudge the effort to generate extra revenue, especially when what they are pushing is truly needed. I was offered a discount on synthetic, which i accepted. Upon presentation of the engine and cabin air filters, and the recommendation to replace, i asked for a moment to decide. I received a "let me know right away because it will take just a minute to finish. I was offered a 25% discount on the filters, but even with the discount the prices were unreasonable, so i declined and told him i would replace them myself. Adter a quick stop at the parts store i began to unscrew the phillips head screws securing the engine air filter. They had been replaced at the oil store and tightened, using a long, leveraged screw driver, so tightly that i could only get one loose and stopped as i did not want to strip the heads. The little shithead was mad that i did not have him do it, so tjis was his payback. I went back to the store, called him on it, and instructed him to loosen the screws so that if he stripped them it would be on him. He said, it is our responsibility to see that all fasteners are secured"; in other words, this is a trick that they routinely play. Do not, i repeat, do not patronize this, or any other Havoline Express Lube store. read more
