I had an issue and went in to get work done. Work was completed and I left. An issue happened after I had left and I was in a spot on the other side of town. I called the shop and the manager and another mechanic named Mark (I think) drove out to see what happened. This is the best Jiffy Lube I've been to. Manager Jed welcomed me and the staff working here are fast and efficient. They looked over the basics: filters, fluid levels, tire pressure, etc. No upselling or any of those scare tactics that many of the quick oil change places are known to do. My car inspection visit turned into an unexpected, but necessary surprise . In 40 years of driving and 20 different cars I've never failed an inspection. Turns out my car needed new brake pads and fluid. I guess I tuned out those random squealing sounds. Who hears them anyway with the A/C on almost 24/7 365??? Well I heard them when the inspector moved my car into and out of the bay.!!! The mechanic, Mark, who performed the inspection explained everything perfectly and didn't talk down to me. He explained there was a Thanksgiving Special!! The manager, Jed (I think) was very nice and quoted me a price explaining each item. Then he gave me a $40 gift card to use towards the repair. Nice Special!! For which I am very grateful. When I returned a few days later for the work they were ready for me. A few hours later my car was ready and runs well. The brakes feel good and no noise!! Yeah I passed the inspection. Best thing ever I received another gift card for when I return next month for a coolant system flush. I came in for a state inspection which didn't take a long time at all. I was greeted immediately upon driving up and notified of about how long it was going to take and lead to the waiting area. My car is actually registered in a different county outside of San Antonio and when I called after my service about the certain emissions requirements, the men who helped me out were super knowledgeable about what I would need to help me get my car re-registered. I ended up going there a second time that same day and although they weren't able to electronically fill out an affidavit for me, they were able to give me a paper copy. Excellent service with folks who genuinely care (and want you to pass your inspection.) There were a couple of things that almost caused my car to fail its inspection this year, but Jiffy Lube went out of their way to ensure I passed. When one wiper was out of stock, they went out to another store to pick one up with no additional charge for making them go out and do that. That. Wow. They could have easily said they were out and failed me. That alone is worth the 5 stars from me. As a chronic procrastinator, it was my last week to get my inspection so I REALLY needed that done. My Fiance took in her car this morning to get an oil change. The guy in there came out with a 500$ quote saying she needed new brake pads in the back, when I replaced her brake pads yesterday! On top of that gave her a list of issues with her car, quoting her over 1000$, meanwhile none of the issued they presented to her exist. Absolutely ridiculous. Maybe it's just this location, but the amount of things they tried to upsell me on was unacceptable. They must have assumed I don't know anything about cars and pushed hard that I get a tire rotation, overpriced fuel injector cleaner, and new filters; they clearly didn't check or they'd know I didn't need any of that. when I declined, they failed my inspection saying I needed new windshield wipers to pass and proceeded to push to sell me new wipers for over $100. I know good and well new wipers do not cost that much and do not require "professional installation". To clarify, they didn't fail me until AFTER I chose not to buy the $350+ worth of nonsense they tried to sell me. don't get scammed by these people. read more

Came here after work for a state inspection. It was dead. Two workers came out to treat me. Both were friendly. The place is clean. There is a small at reading room with her to Michigan and a coffee pot. They also have complementary Wi-Fi. I was out in fewer than 10 minutes and very pleased. read more

OMG!!! My wife took the car in for inspection and a week later I find out they charged her over $200!!! I had just changed both the engine and cabin filters with awesome Purolator (and PurolaterBoss) filters in preparation for a road trip later that week. But they talked her into changing both out due to being dirty! Lies! Lies! Lies! This 7862 Callaghan location might highly likely be following dirty business tactics preying on the unknowing. We are on a road trip and needed an oil change . This is not on the list of fun things to do , but the truck was begging for new oil . I have been to many jiffy lubes in my life , from Florida to California , and the only picture in my mind of Jiffy lube has been service people trying to sell filters , wiper blades , and everything else they sell ... until we pulled into this Jiffy lube . We were greeted by Eric H. Who was very welcoming and charming . He explained what the wait would be and we felt very good about everything . The service was excellent and the prices seemed to be better than Nevada . They did not force any products on us like the other locations . They made suggestions but didn't strong arm us . Eric should be manager . He knows so much about cars and oil etc . I never thought I would be writing a positive review of Jiffy lube . I actually enjoyed the experience . These guys know how to treat a car right! They were fast, professional, and courteous! I really appreciated how they had a fresh pot of coffee going, and recent magazines in the waiting room. If only they could provide us with wifi. They did all the things that oil change places say that they're going to do. They really did wash my windows and air up my tires. They even vacuumed the front seats! Wooo! They treat my car better than I do! The price was a bit higher than I was expecting, but they had to change out the windshield wipers on the car in order for it to pass inspection. I did notice that they gave me a shortened version of inspection, which was even better! ;) I will certainly be back. This was a great deal, and their eye for detail was incredible. read more

Way over charging for oil change. I paid less than ?30 for advanced full synthetic 0-20 5 quart jug. Less than $7 for an oil filter. Jiffy lube wants to charge over ?100 for the same oil and filter. If this is want people are paying them your all getting ripped off. This is almost a 75% increase I can't believe they get away with this overpriced service read more

I would've rated my experience here 5 stars if I didn't get anxiety after my oil change. I drove onto the road and noticed my car was jerking and very bumpy but I thought it might have been the road so I drive to the grocery store nearby. When I leave the grocery store, I notice how even bumpier it felt and that I couldn't accelerate as fast as I normally do. So I went straight back here for someone to look at my car because something was wrong. I forgot who he was, but the associate who checks people in with the beard was very nice to help me and figure out what was wrong. He popped the hood and tightened my wheels. Then he noticed a burning smell and that's when he figured out that someone left the parking brakes on when they worked on my car. My brakes seem fine for now, but I'm worried that this incident lessened the life span of my brakes and I'll have to get them replaced sooner than I wanted to. I'm writing this review for others in case you leave, please check that your parking brake isn't on, because someone left mine on. I wasn't compensated in any way, and that's okay. I wanted to leave this here in case anything does happen, and just giving others a heads up to check your car. read more

I came for just an oil change. I came here since it was close to my house, and no other reason. I had a pretty good experience here. I was lucky because it wasn't too crowded. I had maybe 2 cars ahead of me and more people kept coming in while I was waiting. The waiting room is small and kinda cold, but they have coffee, magazines, and a little TV with some helpful information playing on it. When they finally got to my car, I was called into the garage and shown what I needed done. The review was concise and accurate. They made suggestions for future maintenance with zero pressure to get them done. After the oil change my car was ready and they had vaccumed my interior too. They told me they had a bag for trash, but didn't want to just throw anything out. Then I got a coupon for a future oil change. Nice work. I'll be back. read more

I've been going to this location for years to get my car maintenance needs taken care of. The last few visits have been less than stellar with the manager, Jed, at the helm. At my recent visit for a routine oil change, Jed immediately tried to upsell me services that roughly cost $129.00. And when I say immediately, I mean before I even handed my car keys over to him. I kindly declined the service and restated my reason for being there. I was shown to the waiting room and not soon after, Jed calls me out to the bay area to upsell me another service - 5 services, in fact, I have the estimate sheet to prove it. For every one I declined, he was ready with another upsell. In doing this, he used intimidation and scare tactics to get me to buy in. Once again, I kindly declined. I went back into the waiting room. Then after a few minutes, he called me out to the bay area to upsell me a new car battery stating that my current car battery can't handle the air conditioner, radio, and car running on 13.4 voltage. Jed condescendingly said my car will eventually stall out as I drive around in it. Scare tactics again. I am appalled that because I am a woman he felt entitled and comfortable in trying to intimidate me and take advantage of a loyal customer in the process, and I say this with good reason: There was a man in the waiting room and not once did get called out to the bay area -this is typical every visit. Yes, Jed has tried to upsell me enthusiastically my last few visits; however, this visit was worse. I understand that upselling is part of the business, but I draw the line at intimidation, scare tactics, and plain misogyny. Women are a huge part of Jiffy Lube's customer base, so it is an insult to not only see, but experience being at the end of horrible service because I am of female gender. And if it's not due to gender, then Jed and his crew are not the best employees for the services we seek out Jiffy Lube for and are running unethical business practices with their loyal customers. Half an hour after leaving Jiffy Lube, my car began stalling. I immediately took my car to Belden's where they showed me that my car's throttle body boot had been disconnected. My car has had no issues running. It shows how Jed and his crew run the Callahan location unethically and in the guise of appropriate service. I do have to thank Jed, though. Had it not been for his intentional sabotage, I would never have discovered Belden's. Jiffy Lube, please do not placate me with insincere apologies. We need positive changes and better service, not empty words. Do better. read more

i went for my inspection, 3 days later, went to the tax ofc. to get the registration done...clerk informs me that the inspection report was incorrect. the vin#, year, make and model weren't even my vehicle's!! the only thing correct was my plate #. my vehicle wasn't even a chevy! check your reports!!! read more

I once had an automotive mechanic tell me to "go shake my piggy bank little girl and come back when you can pay for what your car needs." True story. I decided never to go back there. So I spend my hard earned piggy bank change at this Jiffy Lube location. The oil changes are really speedy, and if you tell them you want the basic, they won't try to talk you into something else. It usually runs me around $40. Once, the guy at the cash register told me my total was $450 with a completely straight face. When he noticed I was on the verge of tears, he admitted he was only joking. Car or money jokes are no joking matter for this girl, but I appreciated his effort at some social interaction. They also have a really cool female mechanic that's generally badass and knows her stuff. I like that. read more

I had really positive experiences with this location for about 2 years, and used to take 4 cars here. The manager, Jed, is a stand up kind of guy, well-respected by pretty much everyone, but if he isn't around, or off that day, you do not want to go there. I have a 2016 Toyota that apparently was made with a poorly-designed oil cap, kind of difficult to access, and made of cheap plastic. On my previous oil change trip, whoever put the cap back on torqued it so hard that they were unable to get it back off when I returned. So, yes, partially the fault of the manufacturer, but hey, my car is pretty common, so MAYBE your guys should be trained to not over-torque it when they put it back on? So, I spent 30-45 minutes at that Jiffy Lube, until an assistant manager got me and told me they could not remove the cap. There was no one ahead of me, it was just that long that it took them to try to get it off, then I was specifically sent to San Pedro and Basse where the asst mgr said they could remove it and complete the oil chg. So, a 15 minute drive, plus 10 minutes waiting in the car for the guy to come out, I explain, he is confused, calls the Callaghan store, then tells me I was sent to the wrong store. This store was not run by the same district manager, so they could not remedy the situation, so I am not sure why the asst mgr sent me here. The store I needed to go to was in Hollywood Park, about 15-20 minutes away. If you click on my profile, you can read the review of that Jiffy Lube that I will write, as these guys really went out of their way to right the wrong of that dang mgr at Callaghan. This store was very busy, so I spent about 45 minutes to an hour just to get seen, but they apologized for that right up front, and it was a Saturday afternoon. They then spent about another hour just trying to get the cap of, had to break it off in pieces, and then replaced it, free of charge, with a metal cap, so this problem will not happen again. I do not believe in shaming employees that make mistakes, so I will not mention the manager's name, but wow, shame on mostly the tech that created the issue in the first place by over-torquing the cap, and please train your management staff better!!!!! A word of caution, this store also ruined my 3M crystalline window film on my windshield, which was almost $300, because they used a regular paper towel instead of a microfiber cloth on it to clean it on a previous visit, and there are hundreds of scratches all over it. I never mentioned that to Jed because I like him so much, (and I did not mention to them ahead of time to not touch the windows)but just wow. No one besides myself and that Jiffy Lube's staff has ever touched that car's windows before. read more

Then the mechanic escorted me to the small lounge area. I think less than 15 minutes passed and my car was ready!!! I paid and was then escorted to my car, & the door opened for me. I was here on Friday. Came in right after work around 5:10 and was out by 5:40. These guys are the best, super friendly and approachable. I had my oil changed plus a few other things. As a chick that really doesn't know more than a handful of important "must know" things about a car, I found it really easy to ask them questions and they were more than willing to answer them! I was helped as soon as I drove up and was literally escorted to their lobby. May not be the fanciest place, but they still do their best to make you feel like it is.
