Told me to try Monday Tuesday or Wednesday but wasn't certain since his Manager wasn't there? This location has really gone downhill and I've even gotten my husband & son to come here. My husband's car was leaking oil after he had a oil change last tine about 3 months ago, and we were across town & that Take 5 (Dickinson) said they hadn't screwed the oil pan tight. It was loose and they took care of and apologized for this location!! Sad!! I had the time this morning anf now I' ve passed my window of time.... SMH!!!!! Terrible service. On May 13, 2026, I went in for an oil change and was told I needed a coolant exchange as well. I spent two hours at this location. After they changed the coolant, there was an immediate loud noise. My car was overheating. The response was to ask me what was the noise. My car ran fine before I came in there. They completely did the coolant exchange again. My car stalled on the way home after overheating. I a repair shop and I'm now sitting on $3000 worth of damage done . That's not including the $300 bill from take five nor the $200 tow truck bill. They have turned my claim over to a third-party group who refuses to respond or doing anything to help. Needless to say, I will never return to take five again. As you can see. I'm eligible for a free top off either before 2/22/2024, or before the stated mileage. I came before the date, admittedly over the mileage. According to the person helping me, I didn't qualify because I passed the mileage. So what's the "or" for?? It doesn't say "and". THEN I would agree that I don't qualify for the free top off because I would have to come in before the date AND before the mileage. Ridiculous. Technician failed my inspection because their OBD scanner was not working and charged me for it when they are not supposed to charge me for failed inspections. I too my truck to ford and autozone and they said nothing was wrong with my OBD port. I took my car to another inspection and they said there was nothing wrong and passed me. What pissed me off - I went back here to ask them if they can try to rescan, the guy who came and spoke with me got out of a hot boxed vaped car and said that if the machine is broke its the states fault and they cannot refund me and refused to help with a refund or rescan my truck to see if the system would communicate. I called the corporate office which just goes straight to voicemail. I will be calling DPS and letting them know along with disputing the charge with my credit card. read more

My husband wanted to quickly get an oil change and decided to pull in to Take 5.. Customer service was pretty cool, the attendant came out brought a couple bottles of water, offered it to us and asked us to pull in. A few moments later (15 min later) they say because our car is a 2019 they couldn't find how much oil they can put in the car, so they are unable to do an oil change on our car... An update to my initial review from a week ago is warranted, as a series of rather unfortunate events has transpired since then. Within days of my state inspection at Take 5 and the subsequent mangling of my gas cap, my check engine light illuminates. I immediately return to Take 5 and inform them of the problem. The manager (sorry, I never caught his name) told me that my cap looked like this when I came in - and that it wasn't their problem. Not taking his assessment (since this car has just over 14K miles on it and I never would have passed inspection with my cap this way and the check engine light illuminated), he finally agreed that he'd get me a new gas cap. That was on 4/25/17. I told him the local Mazda dealership (less than 7 miles away) would most likely have one in stock and I expected to hear from him within 2 days. On a lark, I went to the Take 5 website and filled out a customer satisfaction form that afternoon, stating what had transpired during the inspection and the flak I'd received when I returned to the station that day. I was called that night by a district manager, assuring me that a new cap had been ordered for me - but he did express doubts about the cause of the check engine light. He did request photos of the cap, which were sent to him. I wanted an impartial verification, so I went to a local auto parts store that offers the free service of pulling your codes on a check engine light. Verified -- P0455: evaporative emission system leak from fuel tank. Print out of that sent to the district manager. Again, I was reassured my gas cap was "ordered." The days drag on and I hear nothing, so I'm beginning to seethe more than I was already. I finally call the local Mazda dealership parts department myself to see if they have the part. Confirmed, they have it in stock. Call back Take 5: oh, the manager's not there and he won't be back until tomorrow. A different "manager" is covering for him. And this is where things finally happened. Shout out to Ted - the "different manager" who got it taken care of today. He drove to the Mazda dealership himself, purchased the part and called me back to pick it up - all before noon. If it weren't for Ted, my update would be down to 1 star. Ted, however, allows them to remain at the 2-star level, for he went out of his way to satisfy a customer of a store that he doesn't even manage. The "real" store manager? All he did was manage to make a sticky situation go really south. He made things go from bad to worse and he lost all of the cars in this household and anyone else that I can tell to make sure to steer clear of this particular location. If Ted were in charge, I'd be coming back, but he's not, so the deal is sealed for me and anyone within earshot. Stay away from this Take 5 if you don't want your vehicle to suffer any unnecessary damage due to a required state inspection and then the subsequent accusations and aggravation that will surely follow if something should occur. I had been to Take 5 for an oil change a few months ago. While they were working on my car, the guy said my shield plate was hanging down. He asked if I wanted it removed. He said if I got it flattened out, he would put it back on for me later. I agreed. He took it off, saved the screws for me in a bag and put the shield in my trunk. When I returned he was very friendly and considerate. The workers were fast and efficient. They put the shield back on and I was on my way. Thank you for showing integrity with a smile. read more

Big NOPE, my new driveway is now full of oil and the whole underside of my 2018 Ford F250 is now covered in oil thanks to this place. Please avoid this place at all costs, I figured this was a good place to come but I totally regret it. Just save your time and go somewhere else. They jacked up my car after my oil change and I failed the inspection because they made my check engine light come on. Basically the car kept breaking down - they said I needed gas (I was 60 till empty). Filled it up and it broke down. Turns out they had loosened the air filter connector to my engine and never tightened it. O'Reilly ended up helping me out and figuring out the issue. On top of that I failed the inspection right after the change, BECAUSE that connector was loose. Got a refund for the inspection but DO NOT GO HERE. Got oil changed and state inspection done - no issues. However they are supposed to check tire pressure. They didn't - I was sitting in the car during the oil change. Then I get out and hover to one the techs for state inspection and ask him to please check the tire pressure as I'm getting a warning sensor that the front tires are low.
