Rating off of delivery order but rating food only of course. Ordered the Double Dragon Roll and Rainbow Roll Noted Allergic to Sesame seeds and review is 3 because it was not take serious enough. So with that being said, the rolls are pretty good, decent size, tasted fresh and presentation was nice. I did find 7 sesame seeds throughout 2 rolls. I feel an establishment should decline orders if they don't feel They cannot overcome such "a challenge". I am an adult and inspect each roll before I eat it. I typically don't lift the fish on top trusting they won't be hidden under there but man did I guess wrong. Thankfully I'm OKAY but I won't be ordering from here again because that allergen note was clearly not taken seriously.

Visited here today and everything was great. We had the dragon roll with spicy crab on top, tuna sashimi, and spicy crab roll. Service was prompt and waitress was attentive.

Take Sushi is a near perfect little nitchy strip mall hole in wall restaurant. It's comfortable small, cozy, well appoint, has a beautiful little pleasant to the eyes fish tank aquarium, really great food served up in delightfully appearing presentation and a top notch friendly professional wait staff. There are several kind of quirky things about it. First off, the table setting is with chopsticks only, rather oddly Chinese, not Japanese chopsticks, so if you're like me or like the inept fat lady that sat near me who ended up slobbering food and juices all over herself, her table top and the floor, you'll have to ask for flatware. And, at the end of your meal you'll get a Chinese fortune cookie, even though this restaurant is clearly Japanese, not Chinese. When seated I was first presented with a complimentary bowl of noodles in broth. It didn't look like much, but the taste was totally delicious. The menu is large with all sorts of rolls and selections of varying fish. There is also a board of specials which is well worth a read and little note board tablets listing any new, not on the menu or daily specials board items. The one for the particular night I was there was for fired oysters, an item not found in most sushi places or area Japanese restaurants. I started off ordering the baby octopus salad which came with plenty of baby octopus, a leaf of greens, and shredded carrot. The octopus had a delightful firm texture and the sauce tasty; a perfect enhancement and compliment to the overall dish. I followed that with their "Red Dragon" roll which roll had a center core of yellowfin (ahi) tuna surrounded by a sticky rice, topped off with slices off with more bright red to the eye fresh sushi grade tuna. As rolls go, and I'm not usually one who orders rolls, it was one of best, properly prepared and presented on a special specifically made for rolls plate. Though the area has a lot of really good Japanese or sushi restaurants, because of the cozy ambiance and top notch service...waitresses who actually know how to properly count change....this happens to be one of my favorites. The place also affords, probably because so many of nearby businesses have closed or failed, plenty of space for parking, with spaces adequate enough that you don't need to worry about the sides of your car getting banged in by somebody else swing their doors open.

Ambiance: 3 stars Food: 4 stars Service: 4 stars I was really craving sushi on the second day of my Florida trip. My friend and I decided to Yelp the restaurants around Pompano Beach and Take Sushi had the best reviews. So we decided to give it a try... And we were not disappointed! We came here on a Tuesday afternoon, and it was not too packed. Actually, the mood was good, very chill. The sushi chef and our waitress were really nice and attentive. We also struck a conversation with the chef, and that was pretty cool. Food: the toro sashimi was pretty amazing. Get it if you are ever here! I apparently got the last one for the day, and I was really glad I got to try it because it was one of the best toro I have ever had, including the time I went to NYC and better than most places in LA. The other fishes were good too, like salmon and yellowtail. I have to say that this is not open between 2:30 and 4:30/5, like it says on Yelp. Otherwise I would have been here a second time. Sigh...

Was visiting Pompeno Beach for the long weekend. Family was craving sushi and remembered Take Sushi was up the street. We had the order delivered... ordered the Green Giant roll, yellow tail jalapeño, crabmeat Rangoon, Wahoo tataki roll, Moby dick roll, crazy roll, and Mexican roll. All of the rolls were fresh... the rice was fresh and full of flavor. The fish was very fresh delicious. The star for me was the yellow tail jalapeño as the yellow tail was sweet and paired well with a fresh slice of raw jalapeño pepper. Overall the sushi was fantastic and wasn't effected by the delivery time. Will def order again. If you're in Pompeno Beach and craving sushi give Take Sushi a call!

Went here for a first date. Never mind, she just said it wasn't a first date. Clearly it was a good restaurant cause we're still together. *winky face emoticon* I'm a boisterous boy and feel like my conversation is in everyone's ear but I'm also paranoid that other people are listening to my secrets. I say that to say, this place is tiny, intimate. People like me should consider sitting outside on the boardwalk for patron's consideration. (there was a lot of takeout orders, the styrofoam was stacked to the ceiling, will get delivery next time) The food is really good, Tuna & Salmon Poke Bowl. Both times. She had the shrimp tempura. They gave us a small serving of vinegar noodles which were meh but held me over till the entree. Def will return, right down the road, well priced, good flavors and fresh, nice wait staff, always busy.

Best local Sushi place in town. The service is good too. It can get busy, so you may have to be a bit patient, but it is worth the wait.

I had some expectations considering that most elites were raving about how good this place was. My first impression of this place was that wow this place must have been in the same spot for years with a lot of regulars. Interior seating seemed limited, but while we were there, there were consistent togo orders so the limited seating did not keep people away. Our server was welcoming, patient, and friendly. She was there a second before we needed her, she cleared our table before the next dishes arrived, and we didn't feel rushed but well cared for. We ordered the hamachi jalapeño, crab Rangoons, donkatsu ramen with pork belly, tuna, chutoro, and Otoro nigiri's. We also got matcha's for Togo. Two things that stood out to me, one, the prices were super cheap, and two the nigiri's tasted surprisingly good for their prices. Overall I was thinking that this must be a hidden gem in Pompano Beach area that not too many people know about despite the restaurant having been there for years. I wasn't too hungry today but my fiancee and I were already talking about coming back here to try some of their rolls next time. Yes I recommend this place to others!

They take your plate from you and put your plate aside, on top of another plate from someone else who may have selected raw meats. I don't know if those plates were re-used for the cooked food as I didn't stay to watch. They have a chocolate fountain where you can dip a variety of items like marshmallows, Rice Krispy treats and cannolis. There were more options but I didn't look at all of them. Our server was very attentive and checked her area often to clear plates and refill drinks. We never had to ask for a refill.
