Double-decker and XOXO roll for Valentine's Day

Must try in the Lehigh Valley! Some of the best sushi I've had in a while, super fresh and portions are great! The hostess was also very nice and the service was fast (I got take out and waited about 10 min). Next time I will be eating in!

Unfortunately this is restaurant does not line up to the Yelp reviews.... Takumi was clean and service was great however the food was just not. Seafood Rangoons were served hot as if they were just fried. A deep brown fried coloring not the GBD ( Golden Brown & Deliciousness) I was expecting. The Seafood Rangoons were filled with cream cheese and a hint of seafood flavor (again a hint). The wonton wrapper the Rangoon was wrapped in was thick and very doughy not like the traditional wonton wrapper and the Chili Sauce served with it the Rangoons is more on the spicier side, not much sweet. Hibachi Seafood Combo was a disappointment. The seafood - Lobster, Shrimp & Scallops were so over cooked it was almost inedible and drenched in Hibachi Sauce with an over grilled flavor. The chef utilizes the lobster shell as decorative item however totally unnecessary. Also served was fried rice - bland and missing that fried rice flavor and vegetables also drenched in hibachi sauce. Menu description indicates the order came with 2 pieces of Shrimp, this was not evident and clear soup which is the typical but missing the crispy onions and the slivered mushroom instead a couple of big pieces of mushrooms. Did not order any sushi but did ask if they served 1/2 rolls and was told no but the speciality rolls are quite large. This was not an enjoyable eating experience and will not mostly return.

Was passing through the area during a snow storm and wanted to stop for a mental break and lunch. We got 2 lunch specials, priced great! The service was unreal, so attentive. The food was fresh and yummy. They brought out salmon bites to try, love that! I got a sweet potato roll and shrimp tempura. Fiancé got a bento box. We thoroughly enjoyed . 10/10

I had high hopes, but unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. The food fell flat--flavors were off and didn't quite come together. While the service was decent and the staff was polite, it didn't make up for the disappointing meal. I probably wouldn't return. The place was clean and nicely kept inside, which made for a pleasant atmosphere.

The rolls are huge if you are into that. We ordered the spicy tuna and spicy salmon roll and the fish was too mushy and the spicy sauce very runny. We didn't eat it all- but also didn't want the hassle of sending it back. We also ordered the shrimp tempura roll and jalepeno hamachi appetizer which were both good. I would suggest stay away from the spicy tuna and salmon roll and order something that is actually pieces of fish and not mush.

Always on the lookout for a sushi/ramen spot when on vacation, the high yelp rating of Takumi led us here, proving to us why we love yelp! From the food, to the service this place was top notch! We ordered 3 sushi rolls, a dragon roll, a spider roll, and an eel avocado roll. All were fresh and delicious. We ended up stuffing ourselves because we had so much food, I thought the portions of sushi were good, more than we have seen in other establishments. My husband also ordered a chicken katsu ramen. I have never seen the meat served outside the ramen, and i'm not sure I've ever seen breaded meat with ramen, but he loved it and thought it worked well. Both halves of the egg were included which always makes him happy! The service was friendly and efficient. The place was a revolving door of people, never seemed to be a wait, but the place was always full. Thanks to Yelp for leading us to this gem! We enjoyed our experience immensely and would def stop back next time we are in the area!

Food was excellent. The Golden Salmon appetizer was very tasty and fresh. We got the hibachi and I got the salmon. Veggies were very tasty and the salmon done well. Had enough for dinner and took home enough for next day lunch. Dessert was on the house and soooo yummy. All servers and hostesses were pleasant, responsive and efficient as well as Fri.

For the first time in a long time I couldn't finish my sushi rolls... they were massive. The service was decent. The waitress was mixing up a few things with our order but it wasn't a big deal. We all enjoyed our sushi and would definitely go back if we lived in the area. Large rolls, decent price, good food.

Great selection of Sushi raw and cooked to satisfy every palette. We ordered several rolls including some speciality rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious. You certainly get your moneys worth with portion sizes larger than most of the Sushi restaurants in the area. Service was great!! Thanks to Joanne who was quite attentive and friendly. The ambience is chic traditional.... Don't forget to BYOB or pickup beer across the street. There's plenty of off street parking also. We're looking forward to our next visit.

Enjoyed our dinner at Takumi. Ordered two salads and three sushi rolls. They placed the sushi on a wooden boat which looked neat. Service was friendly and pleasant. The ginger salad dressing seemed to be homemade and tasted good. Only suggestion I could think of would be for them to switch to disposable chopsticks that are already pre-separated inside the paper sleeve. Try the Easton Roll. read more

I was staying up near my mom's house before we went on a trip together and wanted some sushi. The previous reviews led me here and wow. Just wow. Takumi has some seriously delicious sushi. Wonderful neighborhood sushi place. I frequent here multiple times a month. Food is always fresh and delicious. Staff is very friendly, concerned and efficient. There was a miscommunication in one of my dozens of takeout orders on a busy night and they happily remade my meal free of charge and included a free drink without my asking. Booth and table seating. I love the sushi from here....but I really love their fried rice. It is similar to the rice you get when you go to a hibachi place as compared to fried rice from a Chinese restaurant. The fried noodles are delicious as well. read more

My husband and I stopped in tonight on a whim, and we were extremely happy we did. Under new ownership for around a year, the food is amazing. The staff were attentive, helpful and personable. The restaurant was very clean. We were impressed by everything we had: shrimp and vegetable tempura, tempura sushi roll, pork dumplings, salad with the best ginger dressing, and hibachi steak and chicken. Everything, down to the cucumbers in the salad, was so fresh and flavorful. This restaurant is definitely worth a try and many return trips. read more

I wanted to try this place out after some word-of-mouth recommendations. It is now my FAVORITE sushi/hibatchi spot, and will be driving over an hour just to eat here. The flavor of the food is so savory I didn't want to stop eating it, but the portion sizes are so large I couldn't finish! My friend and I ordered edamame and the spicy kani salad as an app. We even got to sample some white fish tempura (on the house!) My friend ordered an Easton roll and salmon roll for her meal, and I ordered the scallop/salmon combo Hibatchi meal. The meal included a side salad with ginger sauce, miso soup, 3 dipping sauces and the monsterous sized plate you see in my photo with fried rice, veggies, and a sweet soy glaze. It normally comes with 2 pieces of shrimp as well, but I'm allergic and they were able to accommodate my crustacean allergy. I find the menu to be well priced - especially since I'll probably get two more meals out of my left overs. Service staff was really attentive and personable. The restaurant appeared very clean. I will be returning! read more

Been here about 10 times since they opened. Always prompt service, friendly staff, and great food. We've primarily had sushi and sashimi but wife enjoys the hibachi which is enough for 3 people and we regularly take home for leftovers. Came back a second time with my family since they opened and loved everything we had. Tried their Uni and raw oysters which were so fresh. Excellent quality, creative, and amazing flavors! We had several of their sushi appetizers/sushi/sashimi as well as shrimp tempura and pork ramen. My favorites so far are the yellowtail jalapeño, golden salmon, and seared pepper tuna, but can't wait to try more off the menu. read more

Wow! What a great new sushi restaurant. From the great service to super-tasty signature rolls, it was fantastic all around. The chef's unique combination of flavors and use of unusual ingredients (like radish sprouts, torched white tuna that is nice and smokey, and others) balance perfectly together to make some seriously great rolls. We can't wait to go back and try more! read more

This restaurant is superb from the food to the service. My waitress was very friendly & accommodating. We ordered the gyoza, spring rolls, & seafood Rangoon for appetizers - all were incredible! Food was fresh, hot, & packed with flavor I wasn't expecting. The fish is always fresh & the hand rolls were beautifully made. Definitely don't hesitate to come here. read more

I Love Takumi Sushi!!! It's so amazing the food, the atmosphere the people they're so kind the food is so delicious absolutely amazing I love going to Takumi with my older cousin my cousin and I have been going to Takumi since it opened and let me tell you it's addicting!! They have so many options which I love, their gyoza the chili sauce that comes with it is so Devine the sweetness,saltiness and spiciness is just so delicious one of my favorite things to get. Also The price range, AMAZING!! Especially with how many pieces you get. 10000000/10 would recommend. (sorry for any spelling mistakes.) read more

Ordered: - Miso Ramen - Broth/Soup was fine. I wasn't a fan…read moreof their chashu, it was a bit on the tougher side and it had minimal fat (if even any fat). They probably use a different cut instead of pork belly (see picture). Ajitsuke tamago (egg) was slightly overcooked? since the egg yolk was slightly more firm and the color started to become that pale yellow color in hard boiled eggs. - Vegetable Ramen - My friend got this one. Broth was slightly on the sweeter side but I felt like you were able to taste the vegetable taste. My friend also request her vegetable ramen to be spicy. They used a spicy "oil" like liquid to make it spicy, it wasn't spicy in my opinion (if you had handed me the bowl and didn't tell me it was spicy, I wouldn't be able to tell). I thought it was interesting that for the two ramen bowls we got, two different types of noodles were used. The vegetable ramen had an opaque brighter cream colored noodle while the miso ramen a more muted yellow color noodle. Service was quick. Vibes are kinda cute inside. It works, if you're in Easton and craving ramen, since there's not many ramen options in that area.

The other role I ordered was the unbelievable roll, the eel in the middle was very fishy, and if you eat sushi, you know what I mean by an abnormal type of fishy taste, and it was topped with spicy tuna that surprisingly had very little flavor. I attached the pictures of the Sogo spice roll. I used to love this place; what a shame that it has become so disappointing and foremost, inedible.

One of the employees kids were running around in the restaurant, but it was a Saturday night and I imagine they needed to watch the kids, so I was not upset. Wow! I never have left a review before but my boyfriend and I came here for lunch on Saturday, and now 4 days later I am already thinking about when I can go back! To start, we had Japanese sodas which we had never tried before. They were fun to drink and the bottles were so cute, we ended up taking them home to put on our shelf! LOL Then we ordered the fried calamari which was amazingly delicious - so crunchy and perfectly breaded- the local Italian spots got nothing on Takumi when it comes to calamari! For our main dish we ordered a sushi/sashimi combo plate. It was huge and beautifully arranged! It came with cuts of yellow tail, red snapper, tuna, and salmon, and one spicy tuna roll. We were planning on having some dessert too, but we were so stuffed from everything else. We will definitely have to go back soon for dessert and to try more things on the menu. I literally can't wait. One more thing to add is that the service was also excellent. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our dinning experience was the best is could be and that really makes a difference imo. I recently dined at Takumi Sushi and had a pleasant experience overall. The restaurant had a nice ambiance--casual and comfortable, making it a good spot for a relaxed meal. The food arrived quickly and was served hot, which was a nice touch. I ordered the Beef Udon, which was flavorful and satisfying, while my friend enjoyed the Shrimp Tempura. We also shared fried dumplings, Spicy Crab, Gyoza, and a Sweet Potato Roll, all of which tasted fresh and were well-prepared. The Sweet Potato Roll was the highlight for me--absolutely delicious. Sat down at Takumi last night for dinner with my family of 5. The service was fantastic. The menu selection was great for my entire family. Ramen for my youngest, a teriyaki dish for my oldest, tempura for my wife and daughter and some of the best sushi I / sashimi I have had in years for me. They had Uni and quail egg! Came in to pick up an order that was supposed to be ready already and was told I have to wait 10 minutes and 20 minutes later.
