Outstanding and elevated dining! Our server Andy was spot on with every recommendation and so fun to talk with. All staff, including the manager were highly attentive. We enjoyed the ricotta appetizer (to die for) and split the Swordfish entree (so perfectly prepared). There aren't many unique restaurants in Murrieta and this one finally got it right. Entrees are a la cart. We orders one appetizer one side and one entree and it was plenty for two. The focaccia appetizer was delicious and creamy. We ordered the onion tart and I honestly could have just had that and been happy. I also had a zero proof drink that was delicious. We had the swordfish which tasted like an Indian curry dish and was pretty spicy. I ordered the poached pear for desert and it was more of a creamy based dish with chunks of pear but still fantastic. Part of me didn't want to write a review because the more positive reviews they receive, the more popular and then crowded Talia's will become. Talia's Kitchen was hands down amazing. The waitstaff are attentive, knowledgeable, and exceptionally friendly. The food was incredible. I mean absolutely incredible. This is a fairly new establishment. It seems they have over estimated themselves. The priority should be good food and service. The server was decent, but the food was just mediocre and not properly prepared. The vibe I can only describe as "drunk women in their 50's". I really like this place the food and the service but I would like to say, I was there Friday night with my four year old daughter around 7:15 to about 8:15pm. I forgot my to go bag on the chair, took my child to the bathroom and by the time I remembered maybe 30 mins went by and was surprised how fast they threw away my bag. My check was over $100.00 between myself and a four year old and we only ate half the food. I felt they could have waited at least until close to toss our food we paid for. We came to Talia hoping for a fine dining experience in Murrieta. The ambience is a little underwhelming. The dining room feels dated. We were seated in the back corner. At first I was excited to have some privacy, but we were right next to the kitchen and there were definitely open tables more in the middle of the dining room. I don't want to presume this was because we are younger, not normal clientele, or because of something else but it was definitely an "out of sight" table. The privacy optimism quickly turned to disappointment of being in a dark corner without any view. The service was really good. We were well attended too. The drinks were excellent. Our food was pretty underwhelming. Love that it is locally sourced ingredients, but the salmon and ahi were lacking in flavor. When it's small quantity for premium prices, my expectation is something is going to really stand out. Unfortunately, it was kind of a mediocre experience. We were actively searching for a fine dining experience in Murrieta to be a regular spot, but I'm not sure we would revisit. read more

Lord have mercy!! Absolutely incredible. My wife and I decided to begin having a weekly Thursday meal together and this evening was our first. Having lived in Murrieta/Temecula for 27 years, we wanted to try another local restaurant. Did not expect receiving the service, the ambience, the artistic designs of the food, the drinks. Absolutely incredible. Seriously!! Andy helped us and recommended the Ronnie Focaccia as a starter for our evening. Delicious focaccia bread with a creamy side dish topped with fruit and mint. To die for. We wanted to try something different for the main course and we decided upon duck which we hadn't had in sometime. Cutting the duck and separating the white meat and dark meat was like having two different meals. And the taste along with the vegetable enhancements was complete awesomeness. Apple Galette for dessert, oh my goodness! And for a night cap, the best Espresso Martini I have ever had. Honest, it beat my all-time favorite espresso martini's that I had while in New York City. We spent the weekend at the resort. This restaurant is on the premises. The reviews are overwhelmingly good. We had dinner Saturday night. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. We are vegetarian and we have not had an amazing meal out in probably over a year. The white bean and garbanzo hummus with fried bread was an absolutely flavor explosion with pickled vegetables and then smoked olives to top it off. We immediately knew we were in for an excellent meal. Almost the entire left side of the menu is vegetarian friendly so obviously we ordered everything! Dish after dish we were shook by the flavor profiles. Let's just say the food dancing never stopped. These dishes have inspired us to book day passes at the hot springs twice a month just to finish with an amazing dinner at Talia Kitchen. The staff was highly knowledgeable of the menu and verbally painted each dish to us prior to ordering. They provided space for gorging ourselves but also checked in on us at the right moments. A delicious experience as always! My boyfriend and I dined at Talia tonight again and we're always so excited to come back for the great service - specifically from Andy (we ask to be seated in his section every visit because his attention to detail is immaculate and genuinely cares about providing stellar service. He knows the menu like the back of his hand and will tell you each and every ingredient in every dish. I have been a server myself and I was nowhere near as efficient as Andy. He is wonderful to say the least! His assistant, Felicia, was also very attentive and kind and on top of clearing off the table and recommending new dishes as well. I normally order the Salmon with the exquisite squash blossoms but opted for a new dish on the menu which I couldn't resist - the wagyu ribeye! My partner and I are big steak people and were so excited to learn they added a steak to the menu. It was perfectly cooked, tender and so flavorful! To drink, we had our usual matcha martinis which are always delicious. We typically order desert but didn't because we were really full after our appetizer and ribeyes. We were a little bummed out to find out that the panna cotta is off the menu. We understand it's a seasonal thing but we're hoping the chef will bring it back soon! Deliberately went for a fine dining experience and first visit to Talia. Our sever was very nice and accommodating. Ambiance also nice. Unfortunately the food fell very short. The humas appetizer was great. The "Prawns" were unfortunately not. They were like rubber. I had to saw them, and was like chewing rubber. At $20 a shrimp, and considering there was only 2 on the plate I struggle to understand how they could get this wrong. Not ready for prime time. I can't imagine a reason to ever return. read more

Wait times for our focaccia bread and food was quite high considering we never got any meat in anything. We sat outside and it was beautiful, the candles and the lights were very nice, the inside seating seemed a bit stuffy. Prices are WAYYY too high especially considering we didn't order meat. Carrots, blueberries, cheese, and pesto shouldn't be 15, and bread and cheese definitely shouldn't be 17!!!!! Bread at LEAST should be complimentary. Still, delicious. Melt-in-your-mouth flavor. We had dinner here 2 nights in a row. The first night was so great that we went back a second night. We sat on the patio both times, I would recommend this if the weather allows it because it is a bit noisy inside. We had the whipped ricotta appetizer and onion tart both times. The onion tart is something I could eat every day! Its fantastic. Between the 2 nights we had the carrots, roasted potato puree, short rib pot roast, Moroccan spiced roasted chicken and the striped bass. Our favorite among those was the short rib pot roast. The food is beautiful, fragrant, fresh, interesting and delicious. Service is very good. We were so fortunate to have Cayman as part of our attentive waitstaff. We liked the restaurant a lot. Attn management: A couple of small but important details to help improve the experience would be lights or candles on the outdoor tables (to help us read the menu) and pillows or fluffy blankets for the back of the chairs (outside), they are very deep seats and my back was about 6 inches from the back of the chair, I could not sit as comfortably as I would have liked. read more

I can't share enough and worth the drive if you can reach this restaurant, it is open to the public so worth the drive if you are in town or close by. My husband and I had been wanting to try this place as I love farm to table restaurants. We had a reservation. Upon walking in, I was immediately turned off by the atmosphere, the ceilings were low and the decor barren. The walls were white with just two macrame pieces as decoration and weirdly placed lights that resembled spotlights facing out on the walls. We were seated at a tiny table that was pretty much in the bar/waiting area. I felt like I was in a hotel lobby. People were standing at the bar and nearly bumping into my husband's head. When my server asked how everything was, I told her that the food and service were good but that we hated our table. The manager came over to ask us about it which I also told him how we felt. There were several empty tables but we were not offered to move to them. We ordered the bread with ricotta, two vegetable sides, and one entree to share plus a drink each, for spending over $150 on a date night we were very disappointed with the dining experience. The food was okay, I may have enjoyed it better if I wasn't so put off by the atmosphere. We also were never offered clean plates between different courses which was a bit off putting. Maybe it's better to sit outside. I do not think we will be returning. For that price, go somewhere that has it together. read more

Really mediocre. Not fine dining as it bills itself at all. Just kind of regular. Decor not very upscale or nice. Chairs uncomfortable. Booths are better but only ok. No table clothes. No bead service. We were greeted by a sweet young bubbly hostess. She was the best part of the evening. The manager was nice when we arrived. We were celebrating a birthday and they asked about that when we made the reservation but no mention of it happened when wee came to dine and no desert with candle came. The service was very mediocre. Nothing fine dining about it. More like college kids serving. The food was only ok. The special smoked salmon appetizer was ok. The carrots side dish was bland and tasteless. The prawns and fava beans were tasteless and not good at all!! The only thing that was really good was the short ribs. Drink wise the matcha martini was very good but the fact that they could not make a simple Bloody Mary was not good and very odd! Desert wise the menu is very limited.The apple desert was fair. We had an 8:30 reservation and by 9:15 they were cleaning up and sweeping up around us for the end of the night. Not good! They also asked us to put in a desert order when we had only just received our mains because the kitchen was closing. Not good! Our mains came while were still eating our appetizer and we had to send them back. Not good! I loved the resort completely but next time would not come to dine at Talia. There are many many other restaurants to choose from close by to the resort. read more
